He had just set the box of food-stuffs (now realized as pokemon food) down and was turning about when the girl caught his eye. Girls had a tendency to catch Dace's eye, to be honest, but he also noticed her gait. She was sure of what she was doing, walking with a destination in mind. He even glanced over her belt and the delibird walking next to her, which only added to his interest.

With skills that are unrivaled by any, Dace followed after the girl, in total and complete ninja-like secrecy. Which including stumbling over his own feet and knocking some tins onto the floor, which clattered and clanged like loud, annoying wind-chimes (minus the pretty sounds that wind-chimes make, and all the sound of metal clanging against hard floor).

"Rats," he groused, ducking back behind a shelf.

So much for stealth!

Edited:

Frowning when the male didn't seem to hear her she did however snatch the box of treats when he put them down. Finally the last box of delicious chewy....
Her train of thought was broken by the loud clanging as the boy tripped.

"Stealthy..." She giggled.

User Image Kayla smiled and gave Luna a half hug when she was within arms length. "Yeah and I would drop by but I heard that you are now a gym leader and I fear your skillz." Gently punches Luna on the arm. "You would show me no mercy, less so that I am no longer fresh meat."

Kayla glanced down at Luna's poketech and grimance. "Yeah it is old. That's like what, 7 years old? I remember playing with that when I was a kid." Kayla laughed jokingly. "Here, let me give you my number. I don't know how your poketech's still alive after so much abuse and use." Kayla rattled out her number to Luna. "And yeah, I want to see those swarms. It was a rush last time."

With Kayla's back facing away from the pokemart, she did not see anyone coming.

Snookie noticed a Chuchu sneaking off Luna's shoulder when he was trying to tug Kayla towards the pokemart without being rude as Kayla would take a candy bar out of his jar when they get back home. At Chuchu's wave, Dragonite!Snookie glanced at Kayla briefly before following Chuchu, hoping that she knew where food is.

Ridley got a breakfast burrito from one of the carts, taking a few bites as he meandered down the damp street, the stout-brimmed black cap keeping his head dry and his customary leather jacket was so weather-worn that it didn't even matter. In his muddy knee-high combat boots he looked a bit like he was out to do business, but there was nothing exceptionally threatening or sketchy about him. In spite of the weather, he looked serene, veiling the turmoil within him. No, he wouldn't let his dire straights trouble him. Not today. Today was adventure day.

The grunt was on his way past that small, familiar bakery when he noticed a familiar face under one of the umbrellas, and he paused, glancing over his shoulder at the head covered in pink hair, so reminiscent of Nurse Joy at the Pokemon center nearer to the center of the city. Liam.

There was something heartening about that, too. He hadn't seen the healer in more time than he liked to admit, and there was still an ache for him, and certainly enough interest for the dark-haired man to join Liam at the little table, pulling out one of the chairs over the slightly drier cement under the umbrella.

"Hey you. Long time, no see," Ridley inclined his head at Liam, grinning as he sat down, yanking the cap off his head to reveal a head of messy black hat hair, running his fingers through it.

EDIT FOR RAIETH!
He had just realized that the box was indeed human-food, but still decided against it because of the fact that it was a sweet treat. He hated sweet things! He was just putting it down when a finger tapped his shoulder. Dace jumped slightly and turned towards the girl. She spoke to him, and for a moment he blanked out.

Then jerkily he handed her the box. "Ur," he managed (he never spoke well to girls), "here," he finished, then glimpsed over her shoulder, when another girl caught his eye. Girls had a tendency to catch Dace's eye, to be honest, but he also noticed her gait. She was sure of what she was doing, walking with a destination in mind. He even glanced over her belt and the delibird walking next to her, which only added to his interest.

He smiled at the treat-wanting girl, totally forgetting to ask her name, and bowed slightly. "I gotta go now," he said, and then to add a little friendliness to his speech, he added, "maybe I will see you later?"

Then, with skills that are unrivaled by any, Dace followed after the girl, in total and complete ninja-like secrecy.

If he had wanted to be covert and inconspicuous, then Dace failed absolutely completely. Stumbling and knocking over stuff within the store wasn't his biggest mistake, however. His biggest blunder was trying to be secretive about following her. When she heard the clatter and crash of the cans, all Miriam could do was chuckle. With a shake of her head, she turned around and then paused in her walking further into the store. A hand, tanned by the sun from spending so much time outdoors, reached out to start picking up the things that had fallen off of the shelves. Really, he should learn to be more graceful. Even Fubuki was more light on his feet than this guy, and that was saying something.

With a handful of tins in hand, the Ranger then moved to place them back on the shelf. "You should be more careful next time. Who knows who would get hurt by all of this stuff being knocked on the floor." She then smirked at Dace, mossy-green orbs sparkling in the light of the store. "Oh, and next time? You can just walk up and talk to me. I knew you were following me the entire time." Not much got past her these days. In fact, Miri frequently reminded her pokemon about how they always had to be constantly vigilant and alert for sudden situations. This would have been one of them.

@Shi + Raieth
Luna punched in Kayla's number in her poketech and it miraculously saved. "Haha, an Eevee swarm does sound really interesting. I'm heading there too for the swarm...and some gym leader business. You know, we haven't heard from the Motterossa gym leader for a while! So I also have to go and check in on her...and Jen since she seems to have gotten pulled by the Motterossa magnet too. Busy busy huh?"

ChuChu slipped into the door as a random customer walked out and walked over to the section of the store that held the poketreats. She sneaked over to the free samples section and swiped some samples of Moo Moo Cookies. She then scrambled and looked for other signs with the familiar sign "FREE SAMPLE."

While trotting along ontop of food boxes searching, she didn't notice a random hand blocking her path and tripped over the hand.

@RAIETH AS WELL!
Great! Now he was totally open. Not only had the girl with the delibird noticed him (damn damn damn!) but so had the other girl, the one who like treats! He hung his head, as if in utter defeat, and then kicked a tin in frustration, watching it skitter across the floor past them.

"I am stealthy!," he commented, glancing at Alex, before turning back to the deli-girl. "And I am careful!" he argued, frustrated that everyone seemed to be lecturing him. That was what mother always did. Lecture, lecture, lecture!

But either way, he needed to get help, and making some possible acquaintances could be useful, surely. So he rubbed his head and spoke to both of them, without really bothering to politely greet either. He wasn't the kind for all that jazz, that was old Dace. This was new, awesome Dace. "I'm Dace, and well, uh. This is my first time ever going to catch pokemon. I'm really really really new."

He paused, then half-grudgingly added, with a pout on his freckled face, "Uhm, and I might be lost as to what I need. You guys wanna help me?"

Alex bent down to help pick up stuff. "Sure I wouldn't mind helping out. I'm hoping to catch my first pokemon in the swarm as well!"

She placed the cans on the shelf with the labels all facing out with the casual air born of long practice.

"Are you going with the caravan?"

Pale blue eyes lifted slowly as the figure sat down, his expression skeptical and unamused, looking entirely ready to casually tell the newcomer to get lost, he wasn't buying. This, however, changed within a heartbeat as he noticed who it was who had pulled out the chair, eyebrows raising in mild surprise to see the rocket. It had been quite some time since he'd seen the dark-haired boy, and he had fond memories of their last meeting. The not-so-fond memories he had conveniently shoved to the side.

"Hey there stranger~" Liam replied in a slightly amused tone, his eyes brightening a little in interest, setting down the newspaper and letting his gaze drift up and down Ridley's bedraggled form, "I see you've been out and about... No need to preen, we're all wet here." At this, the healer smirked a bit, obviously thinking himself charming, crossing one ankle over his knee. "How've you been?"

User Image "Yeah, you sure sound busy. The duties of a gym leader never ends huh?" Kayla also pulled out her more hi-tech poketech and added Luna's number. "I have been on vacation so to speak. Most of my pokemon are on local ranch and having fun. Though, I did bring a few along, besides Snookie." At the mention of Snookie, Kayla noticed how quiet it was and the tugging had stopped. Not seeing a Dragonite within sight, Kayla eyes widen in slight panick at maybe Snookie took on a different form or worse his original form.

Snookie eyes bulged out at the free snacks for the taking and started shoving them into his mouth. "Nummy~!" While he was stuffing his face, he sat down quickly which caused a minor tremor.

ChuChu regained her balance and dashed away from the trainer she had run into before sneaking her way to another snack station and sampling some Delcatty Delights. "Chuuuu..." The Raichu sighed in bliss while the shop owner stared at the two invading pokemon warily.

"Nope, never." Luna nodded in agreement.

Kayla's search for Snookie made Luna realize that ChuChu wasn't on her shoulder either. "ChuChuuu!" The trainer exclaimed, knowing exactly where her pokemon was. She just hoped they haven't caused unrepairable damage yet.

"Com'on Kayla!"

Luna grabbed the other trainer's eyes and pulled her into the pokemart.

Fubuki exchanged a few glances with his trainer, purple eyes gleaming as the red-haired boy spoke. He was only a Delibird, and just by looking at Dace he could tell that he was new to this whole sort of thing. His entire demeanor gave that away. "Deli, delibird," he commented quietly, more toward Miriam than anyone else. His trainer just shrugged beside him and then shot the pokemon a look before whispering, "I know that, but give him the benefit of the doubt." Poor Dace. Fubuki figured that the boy wouldn't last five minutes out in the wilderness; not on his own, anyway. For his sake, he hoped the human boy traveled with some others instead of on his own.

Miri didn't even hesitate when the other person asked for help. "Sure," she said, tucking her own list into her pocket. The various items on her list had been running in her head mentally for the past few minutes, anyway. She doubt she would need to pull the paper back out again. "I assume you're going to Motterossa for the eevee swarm?" Turning on the heels of her boots, the Ranger then proceeded to grab a bunch of things off the shelves without even bothering to look at the labels. She had done this one too many times. "Everyone and their mother is going to be heading that way. Figure I'd go as crowd control more than anything else - can't have humans or pokemon getting hurt." A pause followed this, perhaps to let Dace take everything in. "The name's Miriam, by the way, but you can call me Miri. I'm a Pokemon Ranger."

A tug on the hem of her dress followed that. It was Fubuki, who had gave her a bit of a hurt expression before turning to Dace himself. "Deli," he chimed. Miriam only chuckled and patted the head of her pokemon apologetically. "How could I forget? And this; this is Fubuki."

@Shi

It didn't take her very long to reach the Pokemart, but once she got there, Kary wondered if they'd even have sunblock. Most of their supplies were specifically Pokemon oriented, but protecting one's skin whilst out tracking them was important, wasn't it? Ah well, the brunette was already there, she'd give it a shot and if they didn't have sunblock, there were other places to look. She wandered up and down the aisles looking for anything that could have to do with keeping trainers from getting crispy, when an odd tremor almost made her fall over.

"What in the world?" She muttered, poking her be-hatted head around a corner to see a Shiny Dragonite eating all he could get at a Free Samples stand.

Dace nodded slightly, turning his head, for now, to talk to Alex. Carefully, friendly-like, he gave her a smile and nodded in excitement. Catching pokemon was a wonderful thing, so it was best to be excited, right?

"I can't wait, really!" he said happily, watching her put things away.

"And yeah, I got myself a tauros to ride and all that jazz," grinning again, Dace pleasantly added, "and I do believe I missed you name?"

Ridley had never been exposed to a harsher glance and he almost winced, but then Liam recognized him, and that alone returned his confidence, the smirk never leaving his face. The way that Liam greeted him, however, complete with giving him a once-over, made him flush slightly in spite of himself, and he lowered his gaze to return the favor, noting how Liam was so cavalier about his wet state, and grinned, the hand in his hair pausing, pulling it free and resting it on his knee, winking at Liam, relaxing as well.

"I've been ... all right. Times are getting a little tough," he admitted, his smile wavering a little. "So I'm going on this trip to get out of the city for a while, out to Motterossa where the Eevee are swarming, or something," Ridley shrugged, trying to make light of it. He wouldn't pass on the import of this mission to his livelihood.

"How about you?" he returned, matching blue eyes searching Liam's, wondering if the healer harbored any remaining resentment towards him. Though if he had to guess, Liam didn't seem upset with him at all. And goddamn did he look good half soaked to hell.

User ImageZen had received a few calls from customers lately about having their Poke'mon stay longer at his facility since they were now going to head for Moteressa for the Eevee swarms that the news had been reporting. Zen was interested in seeing this Eevee flux too, and he wouldn't mind another Eevee of his own. Koori would appreciate more of her kind around, after all. Speaking of the Glaceon, she and Apocalypse could run the Daycare if Zen decided to go. He contemplated the journey while making sure all his charges were fed, groomed, and bathed. He had made his choice by the afternoon, and took two poke'balls out. He threw them in the air, and out came Koori the Glaceon and Apocalypse the Linoone. "Alright you two, hold down the fort for a while. There's something big going on in Moteressa, and I don't want to miss a second of it."

After making sure everything was in order, Zen headed out the door with his trusty backpack and Poke'mon. For this journey, he would ride on Axel and keep Armageddon out as well. He had packed the food required for both the Poke'mon, as well as the vitamin infused water that was tailored to each individual Poke'mon. Zen also packed enough food for himself and someone else. There was always that one person who lost their food to wild Poke'mon.

---

As Zen entered Moteressa it began to rain. With a frown, he returned Axel to his Poke'ball. Armageddon stayed out with him, and they walked to the Poke'mon center as quick as they could. Rain ruined everything.
