Oh ho! What naughty gestures he was given from the younger cat! To mock her further, Satoru bent his fingers into claw like appendages and scratch at the window like a cat would, grinning mischievously all the while. It wasn't long before Tatsuki was storming up to the apartment complex, with enough intensity for others to believe she was on her way to commit murder. As smug as can be, Satoru got up from his chair, leaving his phone near the window, and wiped down the wrinkles that may have formed on his white, button up shirt, then did the same for his black slacks. His hair, however, was something he had the worst time taking care of, so he dismissed the rest of his appearance. He had to look good for his guest though, did he not?

Sauntering over to the door, Satoru opened it and then leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms over his chest. He watched her looked around, trying to figure out which apartment was his. He cleared his throat to get her attention just as she turned to give up. He was all the way at the other end of the hall from where she stood. He waved again, a charming smile lighting up his features.

"Well hello there, Miss Priss," he greeted, raising his hand to push his glasses up his nose when they began to slide down. It was something he rather disliked about needing glasses, but his grey-colored eyes were near-sighted.

Leaving the doorway, Satoru headed down the hall to meet her halfway, fully intent on getting the cat to cook for him. Home-prepared meals were always better than take-out. He had never learned himself because between studying and work he had never had the time to learn. He was a business man, and he was lucky when he even had the time to eat lunch, much less prepare anything for dinner.

Walking up to her, the man wasted no time and kindly took up the bag of food for her, then turned to head back to his apartment. If she didn't follow she would lose her food, but he was basically making up her mind for her. "You should hurry up and come inside to dry your paws before you catch a cold," he teased as he waited by the door to his apartment, staring at her. He nodded for her to follow as he headed inside, carrying the bag to his small kitchen, where he sat the bag down on the counter.

Figuring she would be cold, he turned on the stove and set a kettle on the burner, letting it heat up while he set out two tea cups, each with a bag of instant tea sitting inside. As the water heat up the kettle steamed and whistled, and Satoru turned off the stove and took up the kettle to pour the hot water into the cups. He took one up and left the other on the counter for Tatsuki. He wasn't as hostile as she liked to think him to be.

Asuka Sohma
The Monkey

The walk was a bit long, but finally Asuka was in the center of town, where all the shops were, the tall buildings, school, so on and so forth. She could easily find something to do today. Still walking to the beat of the music in her ears, she slipped her hand into her coat pocket to see if Akira had texted her back yet. She was dying to hangout with her friends today. She pushed open the screen to find, nothing, no calls or messages. What a jerk. Hmph. Maybe he was still sleeping. Lazy dog. Looking ahead of her, she saw a brightly lit bakery only a few buildings down. Being a huge lover of sweets, she decided that would be her first stop of the day. Then off to the floral shop to pick up her paycheck! Asuka took up a part time job at the flower shop, so she'd have to rely on her mom less for money, and it was a super fun job. And probably one of the very places in town that had all female employee's so a much better chance of her not transforming.

Picking up her pace a bit, she darted over to the bakery, slipped inside the door, seeing the customers chatting amongst themselves, she walked up to the counter excited by the site of all the yummy sweets. While she looked around at was in the case, she slipped off her mittens, stuffing them in her pocket, and pulled down her earmuffs around her neck. "Oh man, so much to choose from." she said to herself eyeing everything up.

Slipping out her phone she typed a quick text to another one of her friends, who was probably already up and more likely to respond to her promptly.

To:Shuichi
From:Asuka
SHUI! Good morning!
What are you up to today?!
Hope your plans are empty.
I'm coming over! 8D
I'm at a small bakery now, I'll bring stuff over.

And after the text was sent, she smiled at the counter person and ordered, "A piece of fruit tart for me, and could you box up 4 pieces of strawberry shortcake for me to take to go? Oh! And a cup of raspberry tea for here also." she said pulling her wallet out of her purse. Once the total was rung up, she paid the man and waited off to the side for her goodies. She'd eat her tart, drink her tea, and then stop at the flower shop to get her paycheck before heading over to Shuichi's house. Once the goodies were placed before her, she smiled bowed her head and said 'thank you' before snatching a seat by the window. Placing the tart and tea in front of her, she slipped the box of cake and her purse next to her and started snacking away, a more quiet song now playing in her ears.

XXXXXXGlancing down to his brother, who was currently occupied with building a "better" snowman than Shuichi could ever make, the Rooster took a break from the competition, hearing Mindless Self Indulgence blare from the steps of his porch. Jogging over to the small device, noticing a new text from one of the oldest Sohmas, he looked down to Kazuma. That kid was not going to be a happy camper with two cursed members babysitting him. Quickly clicking on the buttons to send a reply, Shuichi sniffled from the cold, taking off his glove. The boy was not good at texting, and having a glove on didn't exactly help either.

XXXXXTo: Asuka
From: Shuichi
Message: Morning! Babysitting Kaz all day. Maid's sick.
Better buy me cake =D
Wanna help make snowmen with us?

XXXXClicking send, Shuichi slipped his glove back on before the cold really got to it, diving back into the sticky snow on the lawn that surprisingly hadn't decreased in level by the three snowmen previously made, as it kept on falling with no end. Carefully taking some snow into his hand, molding it into a lumpy sphere. Squinting his eyes for a better shot, he reeled the snowball back like he would a baseball on the diamond, throwing it at his younger brother's head. This should keep him amused until Asuka came by with food. Why he was in such a hurry to get said food? Simple. Whatever she bought came from a professional, and he didn't have to cook to make a treat. Cooking was always better if made by someone else who knew what they were doing. Mouth watering slightly at the thought of cake or pastries, Shuichi neglected reality and the fact that he just spurred on an all out war with his sibling, who managed to nail him in the face. Cursing due to sudden change of temperature on his reddening skin, he narrowed his red eyes, giving the familiar gleam to Kaz. He wasn't going to let it slide so easily.

Just as she turned and was about to walk away, she heard someone clearing their throat from behind her. Turning her head, her dark brown eyes fell on the rat himself as he stood in the doorway of his apartment, waving and smiling at her. Okay, now something was totally wrong. The rat was never like this to Tatsuki, he was always serious because of his work. Again he calls her a priss, and Tatsuki clenched her free hand into a fist. She watched with dark brown eyes as the damn rat walked down the hallway, metting her halfway, before taking the grocery bag from her. This guy was making her blood boil and she nearly exploded when the rat said that she should come inside and dry her paws before she caught a cold. "Shut up you damn rat!" Tatsuki snapped. She was very close to removing her shoe to throw it at the rat's head. Still, he had her food and she followed after him, trying to remain calm.

She watched as he set her groceries on the counter before he started boiling some water for tea. Tea sounded good right about now, but she wouldn't take any from the rat. She'd go home and make her favorite tea, milk tea. Green tea was good every now and then for when she got herself sick, but milk tea was always her favorite with a little sugar in it.

"So what's the deal with your message? Do I look like I really want to cook for you? I don't care if you pay me, understand that I hate you!" Tatsuki said in a harsh tone of voice as she stood there by the door with her winter jacket still on, her arms folded while her eyes just glared at the rat.

Sure she was being stubborn right about now, but that was part of her personality. She wasn't all bubbly like the Rabbit, or sweet like the Ram. No, she was loud, stubborn, and obnoxious most of the time. However, Tatsuki isn't always like that. Would you be all happy and bubbly if you were an outcast? If you had to wear beads that stopped you from becoming a monster? If you knew that one day you would be locked in a room to die alone?

Everyday Tatsuki was worried that the day would come where she would be forced to live in the room where those who were cursed as the cat were forced to live in. To sit in a dark room of solitude and to look at the world through a window with bars on it. That would be her fate one day when the God finally wanted to put a leash on her and keep her away from the rest of the family until she dies.

She stood there and looked down at the beaded bracelet on her right hand before she looked back at the rat. She just remained silent as she waited for the rat to explain himself to her.

█ ██ █ ██ █ ██ █ Satoru Sohma █ ██ █ ██ █ ██ █

A smile was the only expression Satoru could muster as Tatsuki simply told him to shut up, for lack of a better comeback. Of course she was bitter about it, as always. She really should learn to laugh. Come to think of it, he had never heard her laugh before. He knew why she was bitter though, and couldn't help but think about it every time he saw her. Was that why he felt the need to get on her nerves? No, that wasn't the only reason. She made it too easy.

He noted how wary she was being inside his home, ignoring the cup of tea he had so graciously made. Her voice was harsh, as was her stare, full of disdain for the man. Satoru really couldn't understand why. Sipping at his tea, he stared back at her through his glasses. "My message was exactly as it appeared. Hate me all you want, but you came up here of your own free will, so your sharp words can do little to wound me. If anything I'm flattered that you considered my offer. If you truly hadn't, then why are you here?" He paused, just to let it sink in, staring back at her almost knowingly.

"I'll admit that my life skills in the culinary department are lacking, partly due to my ambitious nature, which even as a child left little room for developing such talents. Honestly, I'd be grateful if you would so generously cook for and keep me company...for only a little while. We could say I owe you a favor that you could call me on at any time convenient for you," he explained, finishing off the last of his tea. His proposition was simple, food for favor, seeing as how she didn't care for money.

Of course, he knew how stubborn the girl could be, so he would keep hassling her if he had to, just to break her out of that shell. Even though he was trying to play on her good side, there was something in the back of his mind nagging at him, telling him to mock her, like the little devil on his shoulder. "Besides, being a prissy diva and all, I'm sure you have some elegant, if not picky, tastes. You're even too select to drink the tea I made."

Tatsuki stood there as she listened to the rat speak, saying how she came up here on her own free will and how her harsh words could not hurt him. Arrogant b*****d. "I came up here because you kept harassing me with text messages you arrogant rat and I wanted to know why!" She said before she listened to what else the rat had to say.

Hah, so the rat isn't all that perfect either! Glad to see he admits it. What was with him though, to actually be grateful to her if she cooks for him? None the less her wanted her to keep him company? Did he forget that neither of them get along with each other? Then he said that if she did this for him that he would owe her a favor. She just remained silent and thought this all over in her head.

Again with the prissy name calling. Yeah, she'll admit that her taste buds were rather picky, but none the less good since she woulc always figure out what ingredient was needed in order to make the meal taste better. He then mentioned the tea that she refused to touch and she turned her head to look at it. Now he was making her feel guilty.

With a heavy sigh she pushed her hood back off her head and removed her jacket. She hung it up on the coat rack before she headed into the kitchen. She started unpacking her grocery bag, setting the food on the counter before throwing the bag out. She then looked back at the rat as she pulled her dark brown hair into a ponytail by the nape of her neck. "Let's get one thing straight. I'm only doing this once for you, but you're going to get your a** in this kitchen and you're going to learn how to cook." She said before she turned and started opening cabinets to look for the cooking tools she needed. She grabbed a few different sized pots and found the rat's rice maker.

"Okay, first we need to get the water boiling for the noodles." She said, taking a large pot over to the sink and filling it with water. Once it was filled she set it on the stove and turned the knob on the stove so that it was set to high. She then plugged in the rice maker and put in the small box of white rice, adding a small bit of water inside. "We're going to be making nabemono, so I need you..." She said before wandering over to the fridge, looking through it until she found what she was looking for. "To cut up this carrot for me." She finished before placing the cutting board and knife on the counter. Nabemono is a wintertime specialty many often cooked and honestly could have any type of ingredients in it.

While the rat was doing that, Tatsuki grabbed another pot and filled it was a chicken broth, turning it to a medium-high on the stove. "When you're done just put the carrots in this pot of broth." She said. She looked to see the water in the pot was boiling and she grabbed the box of udon noodles before putting it in. Tatsuki then opened a few cabinets until she found the spices, grabbing the salt before adding a small dash of salt to the pot of noodles. "Hey, are you allergic to any kinds of food? Do you prefer seafood or chicken?" She said, glancing over at the rat.

Sakuya Sohma sighed as her light eyes fluttered open. Her room was dark and that was the way she liked it. She didn't need some happy sunlight coming in to wake her up earlier than she wanted to be. Today was the third day of vacation and she was taking every opportunity to sleep in. She hated the cold and she rarely ventured out in the winter unless she had to. She both hoped and feared that someone would ask her to hang out today but the Snake was one of the lonelier members of the zodiac. She just didn't get along with most of her family save for Nana. Her double-sided views on the world and her sometimes vague insults to her elders made Sakuya laugh so she often chose Nana over anyone else. She was also close to Ryouta and Satoru but she didn't spend as much time with either men.

Rolling over in her bed, Sakuya noticed that she had forgotten to close her curtains again and what was blocking out most of the sunlight was, in fact, the snow. That's what she got for having her window under a tree. Sometimes it snowed so much that it fell off the branches and piled up against the outside of her wall. Getting up, she figured she would take a nice warm shower before she got dressed. Slipping out of her gray and red pajamas, Sakuya walked into her bathroom and turned on the water. She inspected herself in the mirror while the water warmed up, paying particularly close attention to her newly pierced eyebrow and tattooed hip. The piercing was healing nicely and it wouldn't be long now until she could start switching it out for different ones, but the tattoo was still red and was starting to itch. Then again, she had just gotten it two days ago so it was starting to heal thus the itching was explained.

Once her twenty-five minute soaking in a bubble bath was over, Sakuya got out of the tub and wrapped a gray towel around her body. She picked out an outfit that might be wearable if she ventured outside but she doubted anyone would even remember her today. Pulling her long white and black hair from the collar of her jacket, she grabbed her cell off her nightstand and went down stairs to watch tv until she either got bored or someone called her. Plopping down on her couch, she noticed the little pink tamagotchi sitting on the table. So that's where I left it... Aw crap, it died... Restarting the little digital pet, Sakuya waited for the egg to hatch before naming it Kura and going about taking care of it.

"It is rather simple to ignore someone who is harassing you or tell them off. Instead you came up here as I asked you. Curiosity, perhaps? I heard that could kill a prissy cat," he rebuttled, his face showing nothing more than his naturally cool facade. This demeanor never faltered, not even when he wanted to cast her that smug smile when she finally conceded and took off her jacket. Setting down his now empty cup, he held his hands up, unarmed, when she said he was going to learn how to cook. "All I ever needed was for someone to teach me."

Tatsuki immediately set to work on the kitchen, gathering up everything she needed while Satoru watched, noting everything she did and how she did it. She was kind of cute cooking in such a flustered state. He knew she wasn't happy with him, so he obeyed and cut up the carrot as she asked, nearly nicking his fingers with every slice. Truth be told, he wasn't very skilled with his hands. A silver-tongue had always been his talent. He took longer to cut the carrot than it had taken her to boil the water for the noodles. He frowned when he noticed, too much of a perfectionist to appear so defunct in the cooking category, especially in front of someone like Tatsuki who already thought so little of him.

Doing as she instructed, Satoru dropped the carrots into the pot as Tatsuki threw in the noodles, nearly bumping into her. A small smile formed on his lips as she asked if he were allergic to anything. Aw, she was concerned, about both his health and his tastes. "I'm fairly positive that I have no allergens." He paused to think about it. Nope, none that he could think of. "As per the meat portion of this little meal, I am vegetarian, for the most part. I suppose seafood wouldn't hurt," he replied, smiling to her.

He leaned casually against the counter, watching her toil away. It was a curious thing that she be in his kitchen teaching him to cook. It was almost amusing. He had only ever seen Tatsuki as someone who either got her way or scratched your face off. "If you wouldn't mind, perhaps you could come back some time and teach me to cook a breakfast meal?" he asked. Well, more like suggesting or inviting her back for breakfast some time. Satoru hated to cook, so having someone else cook for him while he finally learned how was beneficial to him.

Ugh, she hated that whole 'Curiosity killed the cat' joke. Sure most of the time her curiosity got her into trouble, but never anything she couldn't handle. She glanced over at him when he said all he ever wanted was for someone to teach him how to cook. She looked away and went back to cooking.

Every now and then she glanced over at the rat, watching how pathetic and slow he was at attempting to cut the carrot. She shook her head and watched as he almost cut his fingers. He was really this bad? Kinda sad that someone so smart couldn't even learn a simple recipe.

There were a few times where she wanted to yell at him for his stupidity, whether it was cutting the carrots or nearly bumping into her. Still, she bit her tongue and kept her mouth shut. She caught the faint smile that formed on his face when she asked if he was allergic to anything and she turned her head away. "Feh, fine with me." She said as she walked over and started putting in a few slices of crab meat, shrimp, and scallops into the broth. Normally many used salmon, but the taste of salmon never agreed with Tatsuki. "Alright, now I need you to cut up some potatoes and mushrooms." She said, bringing the two small dishes over to the counter. She grabbed the knife and walked in front of him before having him movebehind her so she could have his hands over her own. "Watch how I cut, it's really easy." She said as she carefully raised the part of the knife closest to the handle, leaving the tip still touching the counter. She carefully pushed the mushroom under the knife, taking slow and simple cuts. "See? You don't have to raised the blade off the counter or go too fast." She explained before she moved away from him. "You cut the mushrooms, I'll handle the potatoes."

With that said she grabbed another knife and carefully began peeling the skin off of a few potatoes before cutting them into sliced pieces and then into small chunks. She set the cut pieces into the dish until she had a fair amount. She threw in the potato slices and then moved back to the rat to help him finish the mushrooms. Once done with that she threw in the mushrooms.

She stood there and stirred the noodles so they wouldn't burn at the bottom of the pot, repeating the process until she looked to see the noodles looked ready. She turned the stove off for the noodles, but left one burner still running for the broth. She walked over and started setting the kotatsu he had in the dining room. Good thing he had his out for the winter, she had hers out at home as well. She set down the plates, chopsticks, bowls, and cups before heading back in the kitchen to dump the noodles into a strainer in the kitchen sink. Once all the water was drained she put the noodles into the broth, stirring everything around before she turned the burner on the stove off. With a pair of oven mits on she moved the pot and placed it on the kotatsu with a trivet underneath to avoid burning the table.

She retreated back in the kitchen to scoop out the white rice she made and put them into the bowls and placed the dumplings onto the plates. Yeah, she found some spare time to make dumplings. She made sure everything was shut off before she turned to the rat. He asked if she wouldn't mind coming back and teaching him how to make a breakfast meal. "You put bread in the toaster and wait for the bread to pop up. And there is your breakfast." She said before she moved to the table, placing the blanket part of the kotatsu over her legs before she picked up her chopsticks.

"Don't complain if you don't like the taste. I usually cook to my own taste, but I tried changing it a bit." She muttered before she placed her hands together and said a short prayer to herself before she picked up a dumpling and blew on it since it was still a little hot. Once it was cool enough to not burn her mouth she bit into it before she ate the other half.

The dumplings weren't bad, hopefully the nabemono was to the rat's taste. She took pride into her cooking and if he went and ridiculed her cooking she was sure she'd throw food at him, and honestly she hated wasting food. At least there was seafood in the nabemono, being the cat she enjoyed seafood more than meats. She set her chopsticks down and grabbed the cup of tea that the rat made her. She had warmed it up a little before she sat down, and she looked at it before taking a sip. It was kinda bitter but it was kinda soothing as well. She still liked her milk tea though.

She just sat there and ate silently. She couldn't believe she was eating with her enemy.

: | :Lazily, clouded black eyes read line after line of the dribble people called a letter. The mail was mandatory from each family member if they decided to not visit her. Two letters a month was equivalent to a visit every other.

: | :The head of the Sohma family, Megami ruled with an iron fist and she needed to know everything that went on. Call her overbearing, call her nosy, call her whatever one will but they would never cross her. Scapegoat of the entire family, Megami took all the physical pain of the curse upon herself as well as the emotional. The mental pain came from her being constantly ill and cooped up in the main house while the others were able to lead relatively normal lives. Well, as normal as can be expected.
: | :It actually cracked her up at how much the others fretted over such a small and easily remedied situation. So what if someone saw them transform? Their memory could be easily wiped and they could go on without ever knowing, much better than the alternative; death.
: | :While Megami suffered she never wished death upon others. Pain, perhaps, loneliness, definitely but never death, something that separated her from the former in her position. Even though just like them she was told she would die at a young age, Megami accepted her fate. Sure, over the years she had become detached and bitter but it was to be expected. Who would want to be close to others when they knew that someday she'd abruptly disappear? Not her. Then again, she was a hypocrite. Megami wanted loneliness not only for the rest of the family but for the rest of the world. They knew not of such an occurrence as their curse and they led lives filled with pain and joy. Never was she able to feel such a thing as joy and her cruel tendencies wanted others to suffer just like she did.
: | :Contrary to common belief, Megami did want to be happy and did want to be close to others but after such an empty life she simply did not have the will to nor the time.

: | :So there she sat, reading each letter without a hint of emotion on her face or in her body language. There was just the stillness interrupted by deep, ragged breaths.

Asuka Sohma
The Monkey

With her tart nearly finished, she continued to snack away, sip at her tea, and let her foot tap against the floor to the beat of her music. For it being such a cold, early day, Asuka was in a fairly good mood. She was pretty excited to head over to Shuichi's place, he was one of her closest friends not just in the family, but overall. One of the only Sohma's that could manage to keep up with her.

Taking one last big bite of her tart, she licked off a small bit of custard tucked into the corner of her mouth, and smiled contently. This bakery was freakin' awesome, she'd have to come here way more often. Feeling a 'buzz buzz' in her pocket, she slipped out her phone and read over the text, quickly typing back a reply to her buddy.

To:Shuichi
From:Asuka
Awww! Everyone's getting sick lately. ; (
AND OF COURSE. It looks amazing.
Snowmen! <3 I'll be over in a bit.
See you soon. > ;D

And with the message sent, she slipped her phone back in her pocket, took the last sip of her tea, placing the cup back down on the small saucer. Now she was satisfied and ready to head out. Adjusting her earmuffs back over her ears, and slipping her mittens back on, she grabbed her purse, the shortcake and her dishes and rose from her comfy little seat. Setting down the dishes on the counter, she let herself out, and started to head for her friend's house. It was nice having male friends she could actually cling to. Asuka was seventeen now and wanted a boyfriend a ton, but with this curse it could never happen. She could never date a normal boy, and dating any of the male cursed members would only end horribly. Megami would never allow it, any time it ever happened in the past, there was very harsh punishment brought to one of the two lovers. Sometimes both. She sighed, slipping one hand in her pocket, while the other carried the bag containing the dessert.

The subject of boys and relationships stayed on her mind the entire walk over there. She was so distracted, her pace had actually slowed down, and now the tips of her ears, nose, and cheeks were a bright cherry red. Once arriving at the house, she began to listen for the sounds of voices. She was going to sneak up on them. Grabbing her mp3 player, she paused the music, and tugged her earbuds out, letting them fall into her jacket. Raising a brow, she could hear the brothers playing and she grinned. Hiding behind trees, and bushes, she waited for the right moment to strike. Asuka was a pretty stealthy girl, so catching Shui offguard was always pretty easy. Rolling a snowball into her hand, she took a few quiet steps, and with one swing of her long arm let the snowball go, aiming right for the back of his head. "GOTCHA!" she said running up to him plopping another mound of snow right onto the top of his head. "Hey Shui-kun, how are you doing on this very snowy day? Happy to see your favorite face?" she said with her usual warm smile poking his arm with her mittened hand.

Tatsuki wasted no time, and as soon as he had been done with the carrot she was already moving him on to something else. At least he knew his brunch would be fresh. He had felt her eyes on him before, but had ignored it, because it amused him that she was so impatient. All of the cat's negative traits just amused him and he couldn't explain why. She showed him how to properly cut a vegetable, starting with the mushrooms needed for the broth. As he was told Satoru watched, quickly catching on. When she moved he took the blade and finished up the mushrooms while she went ahead and undertook the task of peeling and slicing the potatoes. Satoru hadn't honestly known that so much had to be done to prepare noodles.

By the time she had come back to check on him he was done, so Tatsuki threw the mushrooms into the pot after the potatoes. It smelled good. Leaning against the counter once more, he watched her stir the noodles, which surprised him since it took patience to do such a thing, and patience was not one of the cat's virtues. Patience did not stick with her either, because soon she was running about to set the kotatsu for the two, which he could have done if she had simply mentioned it. It seemed to Sotaru that Tatsuki often thought too much on one thing, only to ignore another. His only real complaint was when she carried the pot over to the table instead of letting him.

Going back for the rest of their meal that was when Tatsuki had finally answered his breakfast question. The answer was not to his liking. His smile faded. What a prissy puss. Following her back to the dining area, he sat down at the kotatsu and took up his own chopsticks. He rather preferred English eating utensils, but said nothing of it since she had prepared the meal for him. He also said nothing as she briefly prayed, something Sotaru was against doing.

Taking a bite of the food, he savored it, despite the seafood flavor, and swallowed it down. "As much as I would like to anger I have to say that I don't mind it. Thank you for changing it. You didn't have to," he replied, taking another bite. It was all he really said for most of the meal, seeing as how Tatsuki wasn't quite up to holding a conversation with him, and just occasionally glanced to her as they ate.

Eventually the silence killed him, and having a full belly was lightening his spirits a little. "So what did you have planned for today, miss pr--Tatsuki?" he asked, correcting himself before he had something thrown at him. He was a creature of broad intellect, he didn't need a diva throwing things at him like a lower life form. Conversation was something he often craved more than anything else and the silence was nagging at him. It would be even better if he could get the cat to put up a good argument. She was always more lively and interesting when arguing. Otherwise she was quite boring to the rat.

Tatsuki glanced at the rat when he actually thanked her for changing the recipe so that way it was a little more to his liking. "Yeah well, I knew I would end up making too much and I don't like wasting food." She said before she finished eating up her white rice. She nearly dropped her chopsticks though when she heard the rat correct himself when he went to call her Miss Prissy but instead called her by her first name. He had asked her what she had planned for today and she looked back at her nabemono before setting down her chopsticks.

"What I do shouldn't be any of your business damn r--ahem, Satoru." Tatsuki said, looking away out of embarrassment. She had always called the rat by Damn Rat, never his first name. It felt weird to her but she wasn't going to let Satoru make fun of her for being a stupid cat or something. "Um, I really didn't have anything planned. Does that answer your question?" She said before she popped a few pieces of crab into her mouth. Oh god how she loved seafood.

"Also, I'll come by and teach you how to cook. I'm only doing it though so you don't keep harrassing me on my cell though, I'm not doing this to be friends." Tatsuki said rather sternly, but really she was kinda kicking herself for saying it. Yeah she and the rat didn't get along because of the story, but she sat there and remember what her grandmother told her. Her mother, Tatsuki great grandmother, was the one who told her that one should never let hate cloud her judgement on others, that one should learn to accept one for who they are.

Yeah, but it was easy for Tatsuki to follow that advice but she knew nobody would ever accept her for what she is. She was a monster, just like the previous people who were the ones cursed by the spirit of the vengeful cat. She looked back at Satoru and she cleared her throat. "Hey, Satoru, don't think I have anything against you. I just don't like the rat. So, I'll try...not to be such a priss." Tatsuki said, although she said it while looking away from him. She kinda didn't want to see what his face would look like after she said that.

She was getting flustered now for looking like an idiot and she quickly got to her feet before she gathered up the empty, dirty dishes and brought them to the sink. She started hand washing them one by one before putting them in the drain board to drip-dry until she used the towel to completely dry them.

Ugh, what was she doing? She was just here to cook and now she was feeling like a maid. Then again, whenever she gets flustered Tatsuki had a habit of cleaning to keep her mind busy.

"I didn't mean to wake you..." Kaname mumbled but Hikari was already out the door to shower and make breakfast. Kaname was one of the few who decided to stay in the main house. For whatever reason, he felt comfort in staying so close to Megami even though more than half of the family chose to live in their own house somewhere on the property. Getting up from his bed, he spotted the calender that Hikari had insisted he put on his wall. December twentieth. Tomorrow was his twentieth birthday and no doubt Hikari had something in mind for him. He only wished that Ryou had something in mind as well... Wait, no he didn't! He didn't want some 'special' birthday surprise form Ryouta! Ugh, he had to clear his head.

Getting up from bed, Kaname went over to his closet and pulled out a pair of jeans and a dark blue shirt to go under his black jacket. Slipping on his favorite pair of boots, he left his room and walked down the hall. From the silence in the house, it seemed like most of the other occupants were either sleeping or already left to play in the snow. Hopefully he wouldn't get caught in a surprise snowball fight. Shoving his hands in his pockets, Kaname felt his cell phone press up against his hand. Sometime in the next few minutes Hikari would be calling him to find out where he disappeared to. Until then though, he would probably just wander around, maybe pick up some candy for Hikari as a present.

Sakuya was now thoroughly bored. When was Satoru coming home? For that matter, when had he even left? It hadn't been long since she had moved in with the rat and she was more of a cook than anything but he allowed her to stay there, for mostly free, as long as she prepared dinner for him. Sakuya was stretched out on the couch with her head hanging over the side as she grabbed her cell phone off the table. Pulling up Sato's number, she typed up a quick little text.

To: Satoru
From: Sakuya
Hey, where'd you disappear too?
I'm bored...

Yeah, it was a crappy message but she wasn't going to beg the guy to come home. She just wanted something to do. There was nothing on tv except for the usual feel good Christmas movies and things like that. There were a few things airing from American but she really didn't care what the weather was like in Texas. Sitting back up, Sakuya fixed her hair to its usual style of hanging over one eye and thought about who else she could text.http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/posting.php
