Arcane was just coming back with a kill, he had found a mother deer and her fawn and easily killed the fawn. He dropped the kill when he spotted Nova outside and barked.
"Hey! Get back in bed!" he snorted before dragging the kill over and dropping it in front of Nova.
"Stupid, your still badly hurt, now go lay down and I'll bring you breakfast!" He said the last bit kindly and even wagged his tail giving Nova a worried look.

Nova blinked as Arcane barked at him, "o...o...okay" he said, sitting down on the fur, his shoulder felt so stiff and it hurt so much to move it just a tiny bit. He felt too sick to eat, but he tried to nibble at the fawn Arcane had brought, just to be polite

Arcane pulled off the most tender parts and gave them to nova hoping he'd eat a little and be able to keep some of it down. "How you feeling?" He asked chewing on the left overs of the deer.

Nova moved his head down to the meat Arcane had sgredded off the fawn for him, he was grateful to the bigger male, as in the state he was now, he could neither hunt nor pull the meat of bone very well, since he only had one front leg to do what needed two.
Slowly he chewed the meat, knowing that too much too fast would make him sick. "i'm f..f...f..fine" he said, lying through his teeth, "i n..n..n...n..need to get b.b...b..back to Kyr" he said, chattering from cold as well as nerves

Arcane's ears lay back as he watched the male shiver. He left his place by the meat and lick his muzzle planting his warm body next to Nova's to keep his shivering down. "that's going to have to wait a little bit."

Nova flinched as Arcane accidentaly nidged his shoulder "i h..h..have to g..g...g...get to her" he said, gazing out of the cave entrance. He lay back down though, his injury upmost, keeping him from knocking it in his sleep.

Arcane snorted softly. "You will, but first this shoulder need to get a bit better...." He glanced at the wound and sighed this was his fault and he was trying his hardest to make it right.

Nova noted the sigh from Arcane "Arcane? It's n..n...n...not your f..f..f..fault, if i wasn't so w..w..w...weak i'd not have b..b...b..b..been hurt" he said, shuddering at the memory of himself, freezing, unable to run or fight back.

Arcane smiled weakly. "Its okay...its a scary thing to be charged at by an adult buck..." He gave the pups ear a nibble. "no get so sleep you've got a full belly and I'll get you some water if you need it"

Nova flinched as Arcane nibbled at his ear, he soon regretted it as white hot pain shot through his shoulder, making him feel dizzy and faint, he hissed at the pain.

Arcane clenched his jaw was the smaller pup writhed a bit. "and don't move." He added before he headed out the door. He gathered some of the snow and took it inside using a rock. He then set out again and returned with more herbs to put in the wound.

Nova took a deep, slow breath, watching intently as Arcane did some gathering of thing "what are y..y..you d..d....d..doing?" he asked.

"The snow is for you to drink once it melts and the herbs are going to go in to your wound to help it heal they will also help numb it." Arcane explained as he pinned Nova down with the herbs in his mouth. "Take a deep breath and don't talk or you'll bite you're tongue off!" He then pressed the herbs in to the wound as quickly and skillfully as he could.

Nova whimpered as Arcane pinned him down, he yelped in pain as herbs were shoved into his wound, "W..w...w..what's that f...f...f..for?!" he said, mostly asking why he did it so roughly. His teeth chattered in pain and fright.

Arcane held him a few moments long just so he could get the wound tied back up before he let go and curls up around nova again. "Shh, its alright, I put herbs in your wound that's all." He explained slowly starting to groom Nova in hopes of calming him down.
