[I padded next to Brightspirit and Willowheart, purring happily.]
"Seems that this fantastic journey isn't all that exciting, huh?" I asked Brightspirit, blinking. "But once we reach the meadow, things will become very dangerous..."
[I narrowed my eyes, my fur standing on end at the thought.
Oh well...as long as we stick together, things will be fine, I thought.
I let my eyes wander, and they rested on a warrior conversing with Nightflame. Curiously, I flicked my ears, and padded up to them.
I caught the last part of what the other cat (Trouttail) had said.]
Tilting my head, confused, I said, "Why wouldn't we accept you?"
Then, embarrassed, I said quickly, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. My name is Thunderpaw."
[I dipped my head and blinked, staring confidently back at the warriors.]

*cough* ...Technically, since Embergaze is the only one who knows where the remedy is, he should be in the lead... He tried to keep his face expressionless, but in truth, he was nervous out of his mind. There were many cats following him, most of them the finest of their Clan, to a place that could very well be their death. He shuddered, trying to remain expressionless.
He was grateful that nobody had attempted to speak with him, and at the same time wished for somebody to speak to him, to distract him from the fears and thoughts tumbling around his mind.
What am I getting everyone into...? he fretted silently.

[A laughing purr rumbled through my chest, and I snorted.]
"Who cares who your family was?" I said softly. "They don't decide who you will become. You are who you are. No cat should doubt you because of them."
[I shook my head at the thought. I had no idea who exactly my parents were. At least not my father. My mother...everything was so fuzzy. I wasn't sure. I knew we were running, and who knew what that meant? I just knew that family didn't decide who you were.
It never did...
...and I certainly wasn't giong to judge another cat for it.]

"Wise words," I said cheerfully. My face darkened, and I said softly, "After all, you aren't the only one with a dark past."
[I nodded goodby, then turned away and padded forward, out to the edge of the group. I glanced out at the wilderness surrounding us, wary of any surprise attacks. I stared silently, thinking quietly to myself.
I wonder where he is now...my father...

"Greetings," he said, his deep voice flatly emotionless.
[The only hint of his anxiety was his trembling tail.]
"I wish that such happiness and friendliness between the Clans didn't have to come with the price of such mayhem," he said softly, looking ahead.
[His paws followed the path his spirit had walked. He still remembered the way. It was a miracle sent from StarClan that the remedy happened to be in the meadow he had visited since childhood...he breathed out happily at the thought.]

___________________________________________ [Silverstar dropped behind with the rear cats. She nodded a greeting to Lightningstrike, Ravenwing, and Troutail, then signaled for Embergaze to follow her. She bounded around he group, back to the front with Embergaze following.]
"Embergaze, you know where the cure is. Please lead us onward."
[Silverstar retreated a fair bit, now padding alongside fellow warriors. She dipped her head to Smokewhisker, then sidestepped over to Brightspirit and Willowheart.]
"Well, Brightspirit. I see you have made an friend, am I correct? I only wished other cats would see it like you do. . . I am afraid this journey will fail unless we all unite as one. My mind always floats back to the Great Journey, where all the Clans finally made it into our territory." _________________________________________
