"A worthless male..." Achilles chuckled slightly "Yes he did mention your thoughts on the opposite gender. Mores the pity if our fight was any indication - a fine team we could have made" Any further comment was cut short with the arrival of a second wold - a bright green wench. So the lynx had sent help after all, Achilles appeased himself with the knowledge that the fight would have been long done by the time she arrived if he had followed through with things, or even if Penthesilea had.
"And that I think..is my cue to disappear" He told the tan wolf with a roguish look at her companion. How angry she seemed that he had marred her pretty queen. It would be amusing to stay and see what else she had to say but there were undoubtedly more wolves on the way and Achilles disliked crowds as a rule and taking a few steps back he waiting until he had gained sufficient distance from the pair and then turned dashing into the underbrush and disappearing.

Thealia was completely appalled that the Queen told her to stand down. This male had tried to kill her and she was willing to let him go! She couldn't hold back the angry growl as the male backed away before turning and slipping into the forest. "We should go after him immediately. I can call the others and we can hunt him down."
"No." Penthesilea snapped at the green female. "You will let him live as he has allowed me to live." There was a mutual understanding it seemed between her and Achilles that they both wished to back out of the fight gracefully. They had been equal on skill level and strength and who knows what would have happened in one or perhaps both of them had not hesitated to make the killing blow.
"Come, I have been meaning to speak with you." Turning Penthsilea began to lead the way back to the dens, though she did make sure that Thealia followed her and not the male. Today she would confront the other about her mistreatment of her pups and other things. Today she would make some changes that prior to the fight may have been put off for some time.
