Seat 50
I have a bedtime story that we can improve on:
Quote:
There was once a magician who had many dolls. One was a iron clock doll who would hit his iron hammer on the bell on the roof. After 12 years of hitting, the doll stikes the clock again at midnight. It is supposed to strike 12 times but this time it strikes it 13 times. His years of servitude, bound by the spell that made him come to life, has ended. He goes to the magician and tells him that he wants to be human. The magician tells him that he needs to go to the Silver River(has a large concentration of magic) and bathe himself there.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the basement, a sandalwood doll wakes up at the thirteenth strike. She was so used to hearing the bell strike 12 times that somehow the extra one woke her up. Awake, she contemplated her existence. The magicians children had all grown up and she had been left in the attic for years. She leaves the attic and confronts the magician, telling him she wants to become a real child herself. The magician tells her to go bathe in the Silver River.
Somewhere along the way, the two creations meet up and then travel together. They reach the Silver River and the Iron boy is suddenly afraid.
"What'll happen if it doesn't work?" he asked ",I'm made of iron, so that means I'll sink if so."
"It's ok, I'm made of wood so if it doesn't work, I'll still be able to float," said the sandalwood girl ",if you sink then I'll save you."
Hand in hand, the two jumped and resurfaced as humans! Swimming back to the river bank, they danced in celebration and lived happily ever after.
I have a feeling that would be too complicated, or you'd have to make the setting a lot smaller and shorter. Or something like that.
Or...maybe....
So...your idea was to continue the characters as their adventures as humans? If so, I have as a feeling we would be able to use this as a back story so the artists have something to go on.
Everybody else: I think we have enough story ideas, let's vote on them! I'll make a new thread so we can vote, and maybe explain why the idea was voted on.
