ElliotxxxTerry xxxGates Everyone knew that those first moments where something feels like things are finally turning around are only going to come back and slap you in the face. Elliot knew that as soon as the words left his mouth, chances were he was going to sit back and regret them, but he still blurted them out. Hoping against all hope that maybe a glimmer of something would stop the boy from rejecting him and walking away. The boy that he’d had his eye on for so long. Sometimes Elliot noticed that opportunities that presented themselves like these ones tended to work better when ignored than pursued, simply because they tended to end in heart break, and yet, Elliot still waited, holding the hand with Alex’s phone number on it and smiling expectedly. He shouldn’t have been so surprised when that one word that he really didn’t want to hear fluttered past Alex’s lips and echoed tauntingly in his head.
“No.”
Of course not. Why had Elliot even asked? The smiled immediately dropped from his face, replaced by a look of shock and bitter sadness. That little glimmer of hope was crushed down and snuffed out. Why did s**t like this always happen to him? It had happened with Devin, it had happened with a handful of other people who meant nothing to him but heart break now. It was that feeling that struck you in the heart that killed you a little with each breath you took. Sharp and unforgiving, that pulsating rejection that stabbed with every sharp breath of air. It had looked like Alex was about to say yes. But Elliot knows that looks could be deceiving to the point where you just don’t know the person anymore. Or maybe, you never knew them to begin with. He really didn’t know anymore, but he wanted to. He wanted to know that Alex that hid behind the books and the mumbled stutters of sentences. Part of the small brunette wanted to believe that Alex had meant yes, but when he turned from the scene, flustered and angry, Elliot was afraid to pursuit him any further. It was actually his sister’s words that made his feet move as she rolled down her window and a puff of steam erupted from the inside of the car, warming him up slightly. He looked at her with slight tears rimming his eyes. It was times like these that he knew him and his sister sill had that bond they had created when they were children.
“Well? What are you waiting for Elliot? If you stand there gawking any longer he’s going to get away. Don’t let this same s**t keep happening. Go on! Go get him—don’t worry about this stuff I’ll take it in by myself, let mom know you’re probably going to be late home for dinner.” She reached he hand out the window and gave him a shove to tell him physically to get his legs moving, he stumbled forward, tripping over his jeans and the ice under foot. Stumbling and slipping the first few feet, he fell to the concrete on his hands and knees and looked back at Nicole, tears glistening and a soft smile playing on his lips once more before getting up and bolting off in the direction that the other had taken off in. His sister was right; he should never just give up and let things happen. If he wanted to be happy, get to know someone, he had to be willing to follow and pursuit them. Letting his real personality shine through, Elliot knew his persistence would come in handy one day.
His legs carried him the same direction Alex had headed off in, following the tracks until they mingled in with others and he couldn’t recognize them anymore. Stopping to catch his breath he looked around, people were walking about and chatting merrily about the holiday to come. Elliot pulled his sweater closer to his shaking frame and looked around frantically—he couldn’t be that far behind the boy that he had lost him already. The crowds were sparse at best, so one would assume that someone as able to stick out from the crowd as Alex would be easy to find. Not the case according to Elliot who couldn’t see him anywhere—at least, that was until his eyes scanned across the image of the park in the distance. Lo and behold, there he was, walking towards the park. Probably back to that little snow man he had seen there earlier. Elliot figured, as he ran after the boy once more, that to Alex he was nothing more than some stupid kid from school who he didn’t really know and he shouldn’t be talking to. But he didn’t care, nothing that anyone else had said ever really got the best of him, stopped him from wanting the things he wanted.
So it should have come as no, or little surprise to the boy he was chasing when Elliot yelled his name and flung his small frame at his back. Tackling him to the ground, Elliot cried triumphantly and laughed. “Alex! Man, you walk really fast, you know that?” Shivering in the crisp winter air, and smiling down at Alex, Elliot was happy; not caring about whatever consequences might follow his actions.

Nikoli Aleki Pravoti Nikoli is wearing: This~ Nikoli is talking to:Asher, Devin, Chris Nikoli is thinking: Wait what? Nikoli is: Standing outside freezing trying to think of what to do.
Nikoli normally didn't get angry this fast..well okay he might be a bit testy when drunk but, still. It's not that he felt jealous or that he cared for Asher. Grumbling softly Nikoli moved closer snatching Asher's wrist to keep him from mister goody two shoes. God, he wanted to punch his freaking lights out for being so chipper..that wasn't a bad idea. Sadly he had other things on his mind. Asher's complaints fell on deaf ears, Nikoli had heard it all before. All he needed were a few minutes alone with Asher..he would be putty in his hands. At the words he was hurting him the male scoffed softly, his eyes also gave a light roll. "I'm not hurting you Asher..you get off easy admit it." Anger for not getting to see Asher hurt by the jocks and talking to some seemingly stuck up male had his hackles raised. Therefore his grip did get a bit tight, tight enough to leave a bruise. The tears meant nothing to Nikoli, in fact they egged him on a bit making him smirk triumphantly when Asher finally went silent. As the snow crunched under their feet Nikoli let his grip relax a bit, no need to ruin his toy hm? As he prepared to speak however something again had to ruin his play time. Dammit.
Hands he did not really know that well pried Asher free then pushed the smaller male away, back towards Chris. The protest's died on Nikoli's lips as his eyes caught Devin. After the shock fled his mind brightened. Well well. Now up close near the one he had pined after for such a long time Nikoli took his chance. If Devin decked him oh well, he had taken worse. "Devin? How can I help you? Not jealous are we?" The smile lifting up Nikoli's lips was, for once, sincere. Something inside him fluttered. Strange. The thought of someone being jealous over him made a little giddy flutter hit his heart. All previous dark thoughts vanished like vapor on the wind oh how he hoped Devin might just maybe..well..be his. Not that he would ask. Nikoli was far too proud a creature to simply spill his guts to another. For now he would just wait and, see what sweet Devin said.
Then..and, only then the rocker would perhaps let some of his true feelings slip free. "Come walk with me?" It was just so cold outside..he could hardly hide the shiver that made his skin stand up with goose bumps. "In the mall preferably?" Impatient as ever Nikoli grabbed Devin's hand in his own and, tugged him toward the entrance. However he still had unfinished business. When they passed by Asher Nikoli paused glowering viciously. "Don't think this is over my little boy toy..you can hide all you want but, I will get what I desire." After these cheery words were exchanged Nikoli waited for Devin to follow along inside. Damned cold. He hated this time of year. The only thing that might even make him think of ever leaving all his boys toys alone..well that would be the male whose hand he now held. It was a nice hand..it warmed his own with mutual body heat. Perhaps he would get his wish for Christmas?

||xxchristopher мiles נohnstonxx|| •мr. ηice• ♥ The smile on his face faded, watching as Ash gained a look of panic and fear. Thoughts were coming together, trying to bring himself up to speed as Chris stood in the middle of the two. Whatever Ash had with the smirking male, he didn't want it anymore. He glanced to Ash when his wrist was tugged, looking into the pools of fear in his eyes. With a shudder from the look, he walked back to Ash's side. This wasn't enough to help though. The male, now figured out as Nikoli after poor Ash screeched at him, tore them apart from each other. His instinct was to reach back out again and grab Ash but, he wasn't fast enough.
For a moment, Chris wondered how, if ever, they got in a relationship. If Nikoli was so rough with such a fragile person like Ash in public, behind the scenes would be more horrifying. Probably yelling and force was the only way he even had Ash around his finger. It was disgusting to Chris that people could act so harsh when a relationship was supposed to be built on trust and love. At this point Chris was going to pull them from each other and give the rocker boy a piece of his mind. In an instant, like the drop of a coin, another person was with them. Devin, one of the few people the goody good would admit to disliking a large amount. Hate was a harsh word that Devin gave the perfect excuse to use.
Christopher would also admit that he was surprised by Devin separating the quarreling pair and pushing Ash back to him. In reaction, the boy wrapped his arms around Ash so he wouldn't be tugged violently again. The motherly sense in him urged Chris to rock Ash in his arms and take him away from the scene. The funny thing was, not knowing Ash so well, it'd be a tad strange to sweep him away from people he does know. Even if they are violent sex fiends.
In the spur of the moment, Chris turned his head and whispered to Ash, "Do you want to go?" It was a soft and polite question in a darker confusion between the three boys. A thick murky water which he had no understanding of. Besides, if he pressured to find out, he'd further disturb the situation. All Chris wanted was to make Ash smile like he had earlier. Sure it was short-lived but, it felt like he smiled just for the charitable teen. And, it felt better than cleaning up all the trash in town. "We can grab lunch? My treat...?" Chris smiled softly to him, slowly letting him out of the embrace as the tough couple walked off. Not without giving poor Ash a threat. He'd have to make it a good lunch to make up for letting Ash down in his struggle.

Being tossed around so much was starting to give Asher whiplash, this time it was Devin. Why he even took a stand into the situation made no sense to Asher. Devin was the main person that picked on him. Oh well, he was away from Nikoli and back with Chris. He felt strangely safe in Chris' arms, which was strange considering the fact that he did not even know the other male all that well. The whispered question came to Asher's ear and he looked up and over his shoulder at Chris and nodded wanting to get out of there quickly.
"I would like..." Asher trailed off hearing Nikoli addressing him and shuddered against Chris watching the two walk away. Well more like watching Nikoli pull Devin away from them. "I would like to eat with you. Thank you for inviting me" Ash finished once that he was sure Devin and Nikoli were actually gone and not just going inside to mess with his head and come barging back out to finish the job. Asher slid from Chris' embrace and turned to look at him. He felt that he should apologize for what had happened but he wasn't sure where to begin.
The silence between them became awkward and Ash rubbed at the side of his neck clearing his throat as he tore his eyes off of Chris. He was a little shy around Chris and though he did feel that the other wouldn't hurt him, Ash knew way to well what happened when he started trusting people on a whim, that is how he ended up in the mess with Nikoli and that he would make sure was not going to happen again. "Should we go inside?" he asked wanting to escape the cold that had him shivering in place and enter into the heated building of the mall. At least in there he and Chris had a chance to escape Dein and Nikoli and if his luck changed the rest of the jerks that were looking to pick on him just because they felt that they had to.

||xxchristopher мiles נohnstonxx|| •мr. ηice• ♥ Chris was thankful the loud boys left them alone, for now at least. They hopefully had better things to do then torment them. From the looks of it, they were going off to have fun. Whatever kind of 'fun' they had. Chris was sure to stay out of it. Once Asher agreed to lunch, Chris felt quite content. He didn't know what it was about him that made him feel like this. Maybe it was the good energy he felt when he lead away the first round of bullies. It was possible that he just felt a little more for the smaller male. It was high time he figured himself out.
"Its no problem really." The generous male replied, nodding to him as they stood outside in the cold. The weather wasn't being very nice with its whipping chills and nipping at their bodies. Taking the suggestion into consideration, Chris smiled and gestured him to follow. "Yes. Some heat and food will do us good right about now." After a moment, he offered his arm to him. Couldn't leave someone who bashed around to walk with support. And yes, this was a justification and a reason to have him hold his arm. But, Chris wouldn't quite see it.
As he awaited an answer to his extended arm, Chris remembered he had things to buy as well. Quickly, he tried to calculate a schedule in his head that would make time for shopping and Ash. Hold up a minute. He thought to himself. I could eat with him THEN shop with him. Ash might even be able to help me find something for my cousin! And spending time with him seems like fun.. even if he's on the quiet side. Its precious. Grinning to himself, he took a step closer to Ash, feeling the cold wind against his back again. "C'mon, lets get you inside before you need a helmet." This day was turning out better then it was before.

 DevinxxxNicolasxxxKovaldxxx
There were really no words Devin could come up with and make them into a legitimate excuse. Jealousy? Perhaps a little... Okay, he hit the nail on the head now that he thought about it but there was no way he would admit it, at least not right then. No, never...! Good God, he was so frustrated with himself. You ******** queer, you made a promise. PRAH-MUS.
Devin wasn't done scolding himself before more words were shot at him, something about taking a walk to the mall then some other things that weren't directed at him but still managed to make him angry. Nikoli sure had giant balls to call out Asher like that in public.
Somewhere in the conversation Nikoli grabbed his hand and instinctively he thought break free and wrestle him to the ground. That, however, might have been counterproductive in more ways than one. What if he actually hurt him? Devin would feel awful but even if he didn't cause any damage Nikoli seemed just crazy enough to do something, well, crazy.
Devin let himself be strung along until they were inside but almost instantly pulled him out of view from any passersby. "What the hell do you think you're doing? You think this is funny?" With rigid arms he pinned the boy to the wall, "What makes you think I'd let someone like you push me around? I have half a mind to kick your a** right here, right now." Adrenaline rushed as his heart beat faster. Why he was so worked up was up for debate. Was it because he was actually angry at the boy or just the close proximity? To deter the latter option Devin tangled his finger's in Nikoli's bangs and pulled them back roughly to glare into his eyes. This action actually backfired and he felt himself freeze, now able to see all of Nikoli's features. He was hotter up close than he ever thought.
When his rigid arm actually started to wobble and give way, Devin took back his hand from his hair and gave him a light shove before spinning around and stomping off. Unable to throw an insult over his back, Devin hastily made his way back out into the cold and headed for his car to compose himself.

Nikoli Aleki Pravoti Nikoli is wearing: NEW Nikoli is talking to:Devin, Himself Nikoli is thinking: Well... Nikoli is: Sitting on the floor in the mall, then driving towards home. Sitting at home drinking and, readying himself to shoot up some drugs.
Karma was a b***h. Niikoli felt his heart race then sink slower and slower into a dark deep pit. He couldn't even get angry. All he could do was wince when Devin's hand grabbed his bangs. All he could do was flinch at the angry words from someone he had hoped...well that had just been stupid hadn't it? Stupid of him to think that after so many years of sleeping with just about everything that moved..that he might find something more. Heart slowing even more Nikoli slid down to his rump an unfamiliar wetness touching the corners of his eyes. Tears? No! He wouldn't cry over something so ridiculous! It's not like he knew Devin that well..he just had hoped. Lesson learned..hoping was for suckers..and writing to Santa had been even more stupid. Wiping his eyes angrily the now downcast rocker pushed to his feet and, left the mall. It didn't even matter when his feet slipped under him, nor when he fell to his knees. No..nothing mattered right now. He just had to get away. After dusting snow form his pants he stood again hurrying onward. Shaking fingers unlocked his car, the cold numbing his senses even further. With one soft sigh the car had been started, the car pulling out and, off towards home quickly. Dark thoughts loomed and grew the farther he drove, thoughts that had been reawakened when the last bit of his hope had been snuffed out. Poor little flicker of hope never had a chance really. Karma hated him..Devin hated him. Everyone ******** hated him, and Nikoli didn't even blame them anymore. He was a b*****d..a drug user, abusive. Yet he did try..he wasn't a complete monster. Maybe it would make life easier if he became one. As his small house like apartment came into view Nikoli brought his car to a stop and, moved fast trying to get into the warmth his home offered quickly. Heat was needed. That and, some drugs..something to take the edge off, to make the emotions go away. After tossing his coat and, scarf off the male moved upstairs his clothes following suit. Chilled skin soon found itself covered in nice warm at home clothing. Clothing rarely worn by him but, today was a bad day. After grabbing an ice cold bottle of vodka from the fridge and, a small baggie of cocaine Nikoli let his body go limp on the couch. Soon enough the tv sat on some random channel, it was the only thing that bore witness to the rocker guzzling his sweet burning liquid. "Don't worry..I'll get to you eventually.." Smiling at the pleasant warmth filling him Nikoli kept his little baggie close. After today he would have to go shopping for some more drugs. His stash was running low. Drugs were that one magical thing. A thing people kept telling him to quit..a thing his doctor fretted over him about. They told him if he kept going on the path he was on with the alcohol use he could die anytime. Not that Nikoli cared that much, especially now. After a few more languid drinks from his quickly emptying vodka bottle the male opened his baggy, grabbed a clean piece of paper and, made himself four little long lines. "Time to forget.." Those were his final words before that sweet drug found itself off the paper and in his body. The tingling started up right away. Nikoli felt a smile curving his lips, his body quietly curling in on itself.

Chris offered Asher his arm and for a minute all the boy did was stare at him. He wasn't really sure what he was suppose to do, he had seen things like that in old movies that his mom would leave on while she was never the less distracted from every thing that was happening around her as usual. Never had he seen or actually done the arm holding thing with anyone it could not have been so bad though and Chris, at least wasn't going to harm him. Ash finally accepted the extended arm when Chris moved closer to him and shivered when the cold wind hit against him.
A small giggle escaped the blond's lips when Chris mentioned him needing a helmet. Which was funny because there had been many times that he thought he actually should have worn a helmet, that way if he had his head bashed into something it would not have hurt as much and the risk of getting a concussion or worse falling into a coma. Was less likely. Together, arm and arm the two of them walked into the mall. The heat welcomed Ash, he brushed some snow from his clothes and sniffled rubbing his free hand across his cold nose, that he could not see had turned red due to the weather.
It was awkward, walking beside Chris. He did not know what to talk about or what he should say, he was not all that social. Unless you counted Nikoli, who was the only one Asher had ever been social with and things had not gone too well with the rocker. Every time they passed some one that Ash was usually picked on by he would lower his head and walk a little quicker then his usual place, pulling Chris along the whole time. "Where do you wanna go?" he asked curiously, he shouldn't have asked though seeing as how Chris was the one that had offered to pay but anything was better then the silence.
Asher wouldn't mind where they would be going to eat, he was fine with anything. Actually ecstatic to eat anything, the night before his mom had her "friends" over and during the time that they had "hung" out they had managed to clean the entire kitchen of food leaving Ash with nothing to eat until his mom realized that she was hungry. Of course she would never remember that her and her "friends" had been the ones to eat everything and the blame would fall on to Asher. As it always did.

 DevinxxxNicolasxxxKovaldxxx
Fear. It stuck with him. The fear in his eyes. Even then, a few minutes after the confrontation, Devin couldn't get the image of Nikoli's terror stricken eyes out of his mind. That wasn't what he wanted to do. In fact, that was the complete opposite. He wanted to talk to him, spend time with him, God, even wanted to love him. But he panicked and did what came naturally; he hid his emotions behind violence.
And now he sat, somehow finding his gaze fixed on the mall entrance until the topic of his thoughts came out. He watched Nikoli stumble pathetically on the frozen ground, even crouch down on his knees before finally making it back to his own car and driving off.
What was it about him that made Devin so impulsive? "Why?" was all he asked himself as the engine roared to life, the winter tires speeding after the other car until it stopped. Devin parked close by, making sure Nikoli didn't see him, and stared until he was out of sight. Then it was quiet, aside from the sound of hot air spilling out of the vents, and Devin thought. And thought some more. And a little more. And then he reached for his crappy prepaid cell phone. Scrolling through the phone book Devin found that the number he was looking for wasn't there and then he remembered why. That number he knew by heart. That number was his ex's.
Slowly he punched in the numbers but hesitated with his thumb resting on the Send button. Was he really that desperate? Was he willing to go that far for some boy who hated him now? Yes. But not yet, he still needed to do something and with that he snapped the phone closed and took off again, heading back home.
Upon arrival the other car was gone and after a shout loud enough to shake the windows Devin knew the house was empty. Kicking off his snow caked boots Devin hauled himself upstairs and into the study where he found the computer still on. Nimbly he typed in the address and surprisingly found the site still running. It had been nearly a decade since he last set his eyes on the cheery red and green letters over a snowflake background. It hadn't changed a bit and if he turned on the volume he was sure to hear the jingle bells playing numerous holiday songs. Now he knew how desperate he really was letting his eyes wander from one letter to the next.
North Pole E-Post Office Send St. Nick Your Holiday Wishes via E-mail! With some reserved reluctance Devin moused over to the crude mailbox and watched the flag pull up as an animated envelope flew out and took over the entire page, opening into a piece of parchment. The cursor blinked at him under a heading of "Dear Santa," and compelled him to start writing.
"Dear Santa,
"I want to be happy this Christmas. No material thing in the world could make me happy enough. I need something more. I need... Somebody. "Your rules say that the naughty get coal. Well, I know that I haven't been a saint but still I'm asking you to help me out. If it's the last gift I ever receive I don't care. "I want somebody... Special to share this Christmas with. I want him. I want Nikoli. I /need/ Nikoli. "So, one last time, would you make my holiday wish come true?"
Devin Nicolas Kovald
As he moved the spinning snowflake of a cursor over the "Mail It!" button Devin took a deep breath and pressed down with his index finger, letting out the breath as the parchment folded itself up before being sealed in an envelope and stuffed into the same awkward mailbox.
It's silly, maybe even stupid, but I hope it works.
The deed done, Devin shut off the contraption and shut himself in his room to blast music and read something, anything, before he considered calling Elliot again.
