Jenneth heard a swishing sound by her right ear as a rock flew past her. She frowned and bent to pick up her staff pieces. A pebble hit her hand. She grimaced, but straightened back up. Someone was tossing rocks at her. Jen heard the faint sound of another pebble coming her way. With an expert flick of the wrist, her blade went behind her back, just in enough time to block the incoming rock. There was a loud ting! as the pebble bounced off the steel. Lucky. Jenneth turned around.

The blindfolded boy had his head turned the sky, searching for the dark, winged one that had passed over a few times. The elf was still in the woodlands. Neither of them would've thrown rocks at her. There was someone else in the woods. Someone who was tossing the rocks. Jen sighed and looked up, assessing the gray sky as the boy was.

"Death to you, Dark One. Murderer..."

OOC: Gah! Short-er post than usual... Grrrr... Not feeling well today.

Ebryn was impressed by the quick movements of the woman. the woman blocked the second pebble with her blade soon after she felt the first stone on her hand. Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea to provoke a woman like her. She could kill Erbryn within seconds. Ebryn wanted to a hide herself in the safe covering of the branches again, but she knew that the sound of creaking branches and the rustle of dry leaves would reveal her presence, so there was no way out. She stepped away from the bushes and low-hanging branches and showed herself to the woman. She bowed gracefully, just like she had learnt from her mother's servant. 'Hello milady, you seem a very skillful fighter' she said as she looked at the blade and the scar across her left eye.

Jenneth Brought her gaze from the sky down to where a girl had appeared. When the girl spoke, she bowed. Polite, Jen thought as she stuck one of her blades into the ground.

"Hello milady, you seem a very skillful fighter."

Complements, bah! Jen silently snorted. Just she doesn't want to get on my bad side. She must've been the one to kindly throw rocks my way.

Jen was silent for a moment. She drew in a breath.

"You don't get nothing from practicing for, say, fifteen years." She placed a finger on her left eyelid, where the grayish-white scar was, pretty much. Then she grinned.

"And I've got a score to settle." She cast a sideways glance at her carving in the tree. The three ancient symbols seemed to glow, for the new wood under neath was pure white.

Light will prevail over darkness, Jenneth found herself thinking. She yanked the sword from the ground.

"Death to you, Dark One. Murderer..."

OOC: I'm sad... Someone's gonna have to buy the BRG, or else we might have to redo this all in my guild, W.A.R.

Lalita sighed. Trickery wasn't one of her favorite things ever, but it was something she believed she had to use every now and then. She walked around until she could find a maple leaf, an essential item for her spell. She threw it on the ground along with a few powered things. With her index finger she mixed everything together on the leaf. "Okaya unum uin" she whispered. A blue flame engulfed the ingredients and she threw the beans in. "Asuru mei uin" she whispered. The leaf shivered and turned smooth and glossy. Images with a light blue background appeared on the surface of the leaf. Jenneth... Allora... Thanatos... The image shifted, making it look sinister. Ebryn... Juan...
Lalita sighed. "That couldn't have worked... Who are those people? What the hell do they have to do with my destiny?!" She crossed her arms and began to think of the components she used in her spell. "I didn't miss anything!" She frowned and looked at the ashes that had been the leaf. "I wonder where I went wrong?!"
She gave the ashes a menacing look and walked off. "Destiny, my ...." she muttered, but her words were muffled by the sound of a near-by river.
Cursing all the way, she went to the river, sat down on a rock and stuck her feet in the water. "Stupid worthless spell..." she muttered, oblivious to anything and anyone around her.

Thanatos Escalus

Even though the wound that can’t be healed only eats away at my heart.....

Thanatos' ears pricked again as he heard another sound. "How interesting...." He murmured, not bothering to use his glaive as he strapped it onto his back again. "So many people under the storm tonight." He flexed his wrist and stepped forwards, into the open.

......I can’t completely hold back my thoughts that dwell within the darkness.

"You don't get nothing from practicing for, say, fifteen years."

'You're right... I guess...' Ebryn said with a whispering voice. I would have killed you if I had a good weapon instead of this useless wooden stick. She couldn't stand people like that...that.. woman... Another arrogant Light-person. She had never met a friendly one. As if being one of the light side means that you have to look down other people. Ebryn grimaced and looked around her. She saw that there were a lot of people near the river. She was surprised because she didn't notice them when she was hiding in the bushes. Suddenly she shivered. It felt like someone was watching her or.. maybe it was just the cold wind.

Juan was about to go in for the kill when both of the women disappeared. He cursed himself and flew off in a different direction.
Allora walked back out into the open by the river. The boy in the air was gone, and so was the woman, or girl, or whomever she was. She turned to she a pale skinned girl with pink hair in the water. She walked over and the faint glow of her staff was re-lit. She didn't notice when it when out for some unknown reason, but she could see better now so she wouldn't slip into the river. She stepped closer to the girl until she was right behind her on the bank of the river.
"Hello? Who are you and who are you aligned with?" she called. If she got into trouble, she could fight her way out. She seemed like something bothered her, but that was her own business and Allora just wanted something to do, or someone to talk to.

Jenneth leaned down and picked up the two parts of the sheath/staff and replaced her swords into it. She reconnected the two halves and leaned against it once more. Seeing the slightly blurred grimace on the newcomer's face, Jen sighed.

"I'm sorry if I offended you. It's just that darkness and light don't mix well. The Dark One-" She halted herself. Why was she appologizing to this Dark-sider? Why even bother with her? Why not kill her?

Jen wasn't that type of person. She had one enemy, and that was the Dark One, not this poorly armed woman.

"-murdered my mother when I was young," she finished in a whisper soft voice, just loud enough to hear. Jenneth found her composure again and finished firmly.

"I have one purpose, and that is Calla uin daesc of the Dark One!" With that, Jen spun on her heel, accidentally whacking her marked tree with her wooden stave, creating a cracking noise. She turned her head one last time, a semi-gentle, semi-fierce look in her eyes.

I don't need any more blood on me. Once is enough. Jen gave the boy one more look before starting back the way she came. The wind picked up and the distant thunder shook the ground.

Crap.

"Death to you, Dark One. Murderer..."

OOC: That's alright.

((I forgot to add this to my last post. I haven't been posting much lately and I apologize. It's been an extra hard week. I also have a lot on my mind and it's affecting my writing, which is why posts are so short.))

Lalita glared at the water. "What's it to you?" she snapped at Allora before looking up. She was still annoyed about the spell and was in an exceptionally bad mood. When she finally did look up, her expresion changed from rage to confusion to understanding. "I'm sorry," she said. "I was having trouble with one of my spells, but I think the problem I had had nothing to do with the spell itself." She took her feet out of the water and stood up. "My name is Lalita. I'm a sorceress looking to avenge the death of someone close that was murdered by the dark side. I guess that means I'm aligned with the light." She bowed slightly.

Juan is idle.
Allora bowed also, thinking it might be a custom in her country or town and didn't want to be rude.
"My name is Allora, Miss Lalita." she said standing up. "And I'm sorry about the mishap of your spell. I, myself, do a little magic of my own. Even though most of it is quite small, it is very powerful. It is good that you are aligned with the Light, because I would not have known what I would have done to you." she said. She looked around, knowing that that boy could be coming any minute. She sensed that he has a power that could destroy them all on a whim.

"I have one purpose, and that is Calla uin daesc of the Dark One!"

Ebryn saw the strange look in the woman's eyes. That poor woman, she's full of hate and revenge. I wish I could help her Ebryn thought, but the woman seemed not to need help from her.
'Good luck with killing dark-siders' Ebryn said after a while. There was little gleam of sarcasm in her voice and her eyes glittered.
Suddenly she heard splashing and soft voices from the river. She turned er head to see what was going on. Two people were standing in the river, they were talking to each other. The recognized that blonde girl from the bushes, but she hadn't seen that pink-haired... person before. how could your hair be such a strange colour? she wondered as she kept staring at the two people.

Juan flew swiftly down the river. He sensed three Lights and one Dark and that person, or whatever it (or he or she) is, might need help. He flew right past Lalita and Allora and landed right next to Ebryn.
"Hello, Miss. I fear that you may have been in trouble when I sensed that you were here with three Light-Siders."
he said gestering to Jenneth, Lalita, and Allora. "How could I be of assistance?" he asked.

Allora opened her to say more, but was stopped when the boy that was in the air earlier. He landed next to a girl that was staring at them and started talking in an overly loud, obnoxios voice. She walked over there and leaned in her staff.
"And what are you going to do about it?" she asked, her usual sing-songy, bell-like voice icy cold as she spoke to the boy. "You couldn't do a thing." she continued, prompting him to use his power so she could get a good sample.

((Allora and Lalita are having a conversation after Allora sees her there in the water. Then, my Darkness character, Juan, is coming into the scene and talking to the characters for the first time since I started posting. Allora, the elf, is aligned with the light and came to Jenneth's, Sapphirianna, and Ebryn, Giant Mushroom's, aid. She really wanted to get a sample of his power, which is to make an acid rain stun his enemies. I can explain that because they are my characters, I'm not sure about everyone elses. (: ))

Thanatos Escalus

Even though the wound that can’t be healed only eats away at my heart.....

The sound of the boy talking was all Thanatos needed to pinpoint his alliance, power, and the hazy outline he usually 'saw' for shapes. Wings....Interesting. His own wings were out now, but folded behind his back, unseen in the gathering darkness and the shadow of the forest. "You've miscalculated." He said in a smooth tone. "There are four Light-Siders." He tightened the grip on his glaive. "You forgot to count in me."

......I can’t completely hold back my thoughts that dwell within the darkness.
