⇨Anya was beside herself to receive scratching beside her ear; like any cat, she enjoyed it immensely and let out a string of soft purrs until her purpose of visit finally kicked in. While Kono collaborated with the Shinigami nearby, Anya stayed perched on Amaranth's shoulder. "Been well, I trust-nya? I heard of your promotion but I couldn't make it down, unfortunately." She explained, pausing to let the woman speak and remark whatever she had to say. "Do they keep Vera's grave clean, at least? I should hope so-nya. Lest I need to crack some heads around here..." Anya's voice petered out and her eyeballs drifted off, gazing around and watching the people.
Shinigami had begun to congregate, alongside a dusty old relic Anya wasn't too fond of. Some people did not age gracefully. Old and new faces, some who seemed interesting. Ah, who was she kidding, everything was interesting! Young and old, male and female; at least the Gotei was diverse and not full of dusty old men. That would get old super quick. Soon a little runt of a thing stood nearby Amaranth greeting her, attracting Anya's attention for a brief moment before it shifted to Kazama, who greeted her, likewise Jousake and finally, Kokoro. "I'll take a rain check on that party, bozu." She said to Kazama. "Jojo-san." She said, flipping Jousake's greeting right back at him. She gave Kokoro a sideways glance; as if she wasn't expecting them sooner or later. "Desperate times, as the saying goes. But you look well, Sotaichou-san."

Roka curtsied slightly towards Taiyo to show his upmost respect. Yes it was not traditional for a boy to curtsey but Roka was bieng himself. Roka's feelings were deeply conflicted because he would love to introduce himself like he did with the Royal Guard member but towards everyone he did not know, but he did not want to ruin this occasion. Roka turned slightly around as a slight breeze began to blow and his scarf danced in the wind. He let his mind wonder about all of the deceased. Even though Roka had turn slightly his Third Eye watched the progress of the events that were occuring with everyone else. Roka did not wish to be rude or mean but this is how he personally deals with Death. Roka decided it would be best to sit and wait as events unfolded around him. Roka's eyes starred off into the distance which was off the cliff as his third eye watched everyone else. ✲═━┈┈━═✲

Kokoro lets out a small sigh as she feels an eerie web of reaitsu pass over her from behind. The woman doesn't even have to turn around to know that the force was none other than Ichijou. "Ichijou...pleasant surprise. I see the King believes I need a watchful eye over my shoulder, eh?" she says with a rhetorical question expecting no answer from the burly man. His appearance reflects the King's worry; it's a sign she knew from her days as the Captain of Eleven. This man was the malice one feared to tread across. Clearing her throat, the Commander turns to Kono with a light smile as she informs her of T'Challa's absence. "He's probably off creating some doctrine for us to follow." she now turns to Anya, "Thank you kindly Anya. Your fury is as lustrous as ever. I knew you'd all turn up sooner or later. It's such a shame it's the day of a funeral." she says trailing off. Kokoro exhales, collecting herself. Katashi has now joined the gathering. A smile begins to appear on her face. "It's like a reunion wouldn't you all say?" she asks making note of how all of them were members of the original Gotei faction. Kokoro peers over now at the figure of the Squad Thirteen Captain. "The haori fits you well Captain Gravellia." is all she says with a smile.

Katashi Kazama, Division Eight Captain Location: Sōkyoku Hill Company: Gotei Thirteen + Zero Division Being addressed by Sasuke, the captain turned towards him, listening to what he had to say and thinking it over in his mind. He wasn't exactly forthcoming with his breakdown while fighting the Rogue of Madness the last time. At least that was what he liked to refer to it as. He had certainly lost all his composure at the very least, but losing a loved one will do that. "Yes I am, along with Kokoro, Kinji, Naoto, and Chieko." Just saying the names out loud made him very aware of how few of them were left. It was a somber moment for the captain. "I'm not exactly an expert on them. You would be better of speaking to one of the more intelligent originals for that. I just swing a zanpakutō and plan parties really well." With a shrug, Katashi turned to the Zero Division members present.
Mentioning a party, Anya mentoned taking a rain check. "Maybe it can be arranged for another day. Depending on how things go." Kono greeted him not long after, elicited a wave of his own. Jousake mentioned sake helping him out with all of it and Katashi nodded faintly. "Unfortunately for once, I did not bring my own bottle." It was a rare thing, but he was expected to act all proper at these sorts of events. Kono mentioned a party being a better fit to all the drabness and the Eighth Captain shrugged. "Not exactly my choice either. That's also probably for the best." The man mentioned in reference to the end of Kono's statement. Katashi had never wanted to lead. Not the whole Gotei Thirteen. It was a job that came with too many headaches.
Turning to Kokoro, the captain nodded in reference to her statement. "A reunion too long in the making I would say. Still, we are missing too many at this reunion of sorts." The man made in reference to those that had died and to those who had yet to make an appearance. "Seems being old is becoming rare." He said in an offhand manner. Not really expecting anyone to respond.

Squad 5 --Kidō Specialists-- Amaranth Trammel Captain of Squad 5 Kidō Commander Continuing to scratch Anya behind the air, enjoying the warm ball of fluffiness pressed against her shoulder, Amaranth turned her head slightly as she felt one of her Squad members approach. Though she nodded a greeting at the 5th Seat, she was unable to wave her over, the cookbook occupying one hand, and the other keeping the cat on her shoulder purring happily, and cutting that short would never end well.
Nodding again as Anya purred a question into her ear, Amaranth's response was affirmative, "It's been all good in Squad Five, research is continuing at a steady pace and as a whole, they're all doing well." Falling silent for a time, as her predecessor was mentioned, Amaranth angled her purple eyes down at the cat, managing to say, "The grave is kept clean and orderly..." before she too trailed off, rotating on the spot to look over at the Captain-Commander as she reached the hill, her eyes moving swiftly past the white-haired girl to focus on a monstrous entity behind her. After following the figure's movements for a time, the pale Captain returned her attention to the Kokoro, observing her interactions with the other Captains for a time before her attention wandered again, leaving her idly examining the people around her. She remained quiet as she was going to pay her respects to the captain. They didn't get along when he was alive however that didn't mean that she would be so cold as to turn her back on a fellow shinigami especially at their funeral. She hadn't exactly received the okay to leave the treatment facility but they didn't say that she couldn't leave either. Even then she's been in there for a couple of days merely resting up and getting used to life with a single arm. She kept her head down and her eyes staring at the ground as there were a lot of captains around as well as other shinigami. In a way she had become shunned by the shinigami but she didn't mind it. It was just something to get used to now. Techniques Used: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Yoshiko Sho Squad Eight Lieutenant "Sigh... a funeral isn't what I was expecting." Yoshiko muttered to herself as she made her way towards the Sokyoku Hill. The young lieutenant expected her first few days after being promoted to be filled with paper work, training, fetching the Captain some coffee, not... this.
"A fitting beginning for you, though."
Came the all too familiar voiced, followed by a quick mental shush from Yoshiko. It seems the somber mood was affecting Sozoshi as well. But she wasn't going to hear any of it from her, not today at least.
Making her way up the hill, Yoshiko was quite exhausted from the climb. Though, that fact puzzled her, she was usually quite physically fit and such a climb shouldn't have had any effect on her. Was it the gloom and doom feeling that was to be expected in these gatherings? She certainly was easily affected by the immediate mood of everyone around her, but that wasn't quite it. Was it Sozoshi sulking a tad bit too much a dragging her along? No, the spirit wasn't that immature. Or perhaps it was the fact that most, if not all of the most powerful shinigamis within Seiretei-- and outside, since the Royal Palace is technically not within the wall's boundaries-- had gathered in the same location all at once.
They weren't letting out their spiritual pressure, of course not, but Yoshiko had a hunch that maybe that was why she was feeling a bit tired. She hadn't gotten quite used to being around such powerhouses, over time she'd get accustomed to it, but for now just being in the same area was a bit taxing "... Ah, Captain." Yoshiko was a bit lost in the crowd, as to be expected from a new member, thankfully her squad captain was there. Although she wasn't about to talk with him about the weather or anything, but it'd be nice to be around someone she faintly knew.
"My condolences, the others told me you were quite close to the... departed. It's sad I didn't get to know them. But, this is quite sadder." Yoshiko paused for a bit before uttering departed, she was about to say 'dead' but thought that would be too disrespectful, she wasn't quite used to being formal yet "Ah, my apologies. I'm your new lieutenant, Yoshiko Sho." she added, was it rude to introduce yourself after saying your piece? Though, she felt it would've been ruder to prioritize who she was before honoring the fallen.
OOC: Not really sure if Yoshiko should be in the same crowd as the Commander, Captains and Squad Zero. But what's done is done, I suppose. > w>

Roka's Third Eye honed on the Head Captain as she spoke towards him. Roka then shifted his body towards the Head Captain but before he spoke towards her, he curtsied slightly towards her to show his upmost respect for her. Roka then walked towards her, so he would not have to yell across all of the other people chattering. Once Roka was in proper distance to where he and the Captain Commander could speak; he spoke to her in a warm and kind tone. " Why, thank you so much for your grace and compliments. As you look devine today as well. I just wish we could reunite on a better occasion." Roka said with a kind tone.
Roka then shifted his Third Eye around the hill so he could get an idea of who everyone was. Even though Roka's Third Eye was shifting his main focus was on the Head Captain. With his normal eyes he focused on her and did not brake attention for he did not want to seem rude. ✲═━┈┈━═✲

Yoko tightened the grip around the flowers, not liking the atmosphere. Sure they were happy to see eachother, but each and one gave a different aura for the girl and it made her eneasy. She knew better than to cry, but all that came to her mind was all that time rouges have done in so little. Before any tears were dropped, she felt herself being liftened and craddled. Looking up she spotted Samui of the 4th division, her grin always there as she held her close. Not the place to cry Yoko, its the place to give a captain their farewells. she said soothingly as she held the child close and approach the group for the dull event.

Even though these days were sad but at least the time rogues aren't attacking. To kill a captain is a great task and Sakura couldn't even compare to a captain. How would she fight off a time rogue and what about her captain. She couldn't bare to lose her captain it would end her. The rock she was sitting on was starting to hurt her butt. Sakura hopped down and smiled and sighed at the relief she had now. Sakura's mind went back to the old days with Hiroshi. The games they played and time shared, but now he was nowhere in sight.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.נσυsαкє нιяσѕнι ▭ "You don’t have to force a party." Jousake chuckled after hearing Katashi's remark. "Eh, I think it was best that you left your bottle behind. After all, we came here to give a proper fairwell to our fallen comrade, so let's make things right for him." Sighing, Jousake blanked out into his thoughts, as he began to think of his late wife, Juri Hiroshi. Even though her death happened over forty years ago, he still didn't seem to come to terms with her loss.
This little thought remained in Jousake's mind, as he felt rather depressed about this all, especially on a day like today. Being at Ishtar's funeral didn't make things any easier for him. Jousake eventually snapped back into reality, as he looked around him and noticed the arrival of Tomoyo. He did the same simple wave he gave everyone else with Tomoyo, as he kept quiet to himself.
However, Jousake also noticed the arrival of a rather strange visitor. Waving at Noroi, Jousake kept his distance from her, as he wasn't entirely sure how she was feeling and more importantly, if she would get upset at him like she did before in the Hospital yesterday. "Wonder how she's doing on such a day..." Sighing, Jousake then walked towards Noroi and gave her a light smile. "How are things holding up Noroi?" "Just love life and the party happens effortlessly." ▭ ┏xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┓ Mood: Depressed Location: Sōkyoku Hill Thoughts: Oh dear... Zanpakutō State: Sleeping! Shh! Jousake was surprised that Noroi was in a rather good mood compared to the last time that they spoke. "I see. Well having a missing arm isn't something you get used to completely. As for the pain, I can check it out for you sometime after the funeral?" Sighing, Jousake then heard her question, and thought back to Ishtar and then suddenly his late wife and all.
"I've had my better days, but hey, this is part of life. Just gotta learn to live past these kinds of things and move on I guess." Jousake then smiled, as he tried to look okay. 【 Taiyō Kono ≎ Zero Division ≎ East City 】 ☼ Harbinger of One Thousand Suns ☼ __ __【 Φύλακες-A | Guard of the Eastern City | Ex-2nd Division Captain | Adorable 】 Kono laughed some at Kokoro's response to T'Challa's absence. It was comical because Kono knew just how much of a workaholic the man was. Chuckling she let a response go. "Fufu~ Probably, the old fart." Katashi's response to Kono was met with her attention. She made a responsive nod with a soft spoken "aye". There was a reason people with a habit of partying or a habit of being detached were not in charge of things such as this. It would blow over poorly with the other Shinigami should they be "living it up", regardless of the intentions. Either way, the funeral was here and now, so there was nothing she could do about it. Around this time, Kono noticed Tomoyo appear on the Hill. Her attention perked at the sight of the Captain. Tomoyo was beneath her before she left to become a Royal Guard; it would seem time has brought her a new position in life.
Smirking, Kono vanished from her spot amongst the people and appeared just behind Tomoyo, throwing her arm around the girls shoulders. "Ohoho~ Tomoyo-tan, you've grown some. I hope you're doing well by the Second Division. Nothing falling apart, eh?" Kono walked forward halfway through her sentence, running her fingers through Tomoyo's hair as if she were a child, which was hard to not imagine considering when Kono left, she was depicted as such in her eyes. She was about five feet from Tomoyo by the end of her sentence. She spun around in place and looked at the dark-haired woman. "You'll always be like my Imōto-kun, though, Tomoyo. No growing out of that..." Kono began to wonder when this funeral would actual start its procession. She did not want to rush it all, but waiting seemed like a bad idea to her. If the Time Rogues made it in once, it was only a matter of time that they did so again. Kidō barrier or not, it would only stop them so much. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ [OOC: --- ] ✾ | Location - Sōkyoku Hill__✾ | Company - All the peoples__✾ | Word Count: 331__✾ | Music Choice: Perfection - Super Junior-M__✾ | Post - [10]__✾ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
