Delu could tell by the pace Domo set that he was in a hurry to get them to the waters edge and while she herself didn't hurry after him the way the prince did she took pains not to exactly lag behind either - effecting a nice ground covering walk that seemed more akin to a stroll then a hurried pace while she listened to the other's speak.

"So...you do not wish to be a royal then?" She called ahead to the male - how disappointing, to see someone turn away from their duty and foist it off on his siblings, of course that might just be a sore spot for her since thats exactly what her siblings were doing. "Do you not feel the need to take care of the commoners in your pack?" She questioned as she could not fathom not doing such a thing - why thats why she wished to free the lands her parents had lost...the thought of her subjects in the hands of that wretched upsurper..well..it just riled her up it did!

But she only shook her head slightly and turned her attention to the feathered queen as she started to speak. "I see..." Was the first response she could think of "Males and females are equal in my kingdom" She told the tan female "Either can rule within the royal bloodline, it is more based on skill then gender, though I can certainly see the potential in your system. It is quite unique" Delusion concluded with a brief glance ahead to Domo, she hoped he didn't think she thought less of him because he was a male...she just didn't want to anger the queen.

"Of course I expect each Kingdom finds a way that works for them - with the system you describe your pack is probably quite strong and immune to the outside problems which befell my own, as you would all stand together against such threats." There was certainly a lesson to be learned from this strange pack Delu thought to herself.

Mmm, such high talk amongst the girls, it made his head spin for a moment - or maybe that was the lack of water. It was growing warm after all, and not all of that bulk was muscle. But a noble giving up his rank? Another thing Domovoi found hard to believe, but then he did not know Kai's circumstances beyond being "stifling" - perhaps a euphemism for his own political issues. Well, in the least it was going to equally blood-worthy wolves and not completely tossed away, so he could not complain.

Penthesilea's description was bittersweet to the servant, for though Domo was quite aware of his low rank, being told so by a self-assured queen did little to help his already shattered ego. Dirt, he reminded hismelf with an inward sigh, I am just blessed dirt . . . He missed Delusion's glance, keeping his eyes straight ahead. Half of him did hope that Delusion might consider the pack purely for shelter purposes, but the other half was very glad again that Delu really did keep to her belief in equality, double-edged sword that it was. Yet adhering to his code as a servant, these opinions were wisely kept to himself.

"We are close," he announced when there was a lull in the conversation, and sure enough there was the sound of rushing water. The river was swollen from recent rains.

A troubled expression crossed Kai's face, and before he could stop himself, he blurt out, "Supremacy of females is hardly more noble than dominance of males," he said, and meant it. "Supremacy, ranking, dominance, hierarchy...it's all worthless, laws made up by those in power to keep the weak under their heels." His hackles raised, slightly, and something fierce glowed in his eyes; something cold and low took over his voice, giving it an undercurrent of a growl. "I believe in the equality and value of all wolves, not just those chosen to be blessed."

Penthsilea smiled at Delusion though she did somewhat disagree with the princesses ideas that all genders were equal. Ah yes, that was the typical thinking of wolves raised outside of her own pack. They either thought that all were equal or that it was just fine for males to dominate over females. Though she would have argued her point with Delusion she did not want to offend the princess, so she brushed that off. Should they ever meet again without the so-called prince with them then Penthesilea would enlighten the princess as to why her opinions were wrong. "It is true, each pack does have it's out way that works for them. Those that do not agree with a certain packs ideals are usually free to leave to find something that better suits them."

Penthesilea noticed that Domo had remained quiet throughout this conversation. Her certainly was a well behaved slave - er servant Penthesilea corrected herself. If the princess wished to refer to him as a servant than that is what he was. Though a servant and a slave were basically the same thing.

When the prince spoke Penthesilea nearly lashed out at him in anger, but she restrained herself only because Delusion had chose to take the male under her wing for a short time and because of a royal connection Penthesliea would not harm the male...yet. Taking a deep breath Penthesilea tried to speak in a non-angered voice. "Our laws are meant only to keep our pack strong. Those males that live with us choose to do so under their own free will, they wish to serve us. We do not force them to do so, should they want to leave then we let them. Without laws even the best packs turn to chaos and infighting, laws are necessary whether you think so or not, they keep everything in balance. Only the blind would think they are meant to keep the weak under the dominant ones heels."

Delusion wasn't sure exactly what she expected of Kai, but that certainly wasn't the answer she had been looking for. Neither did she think his ideas were wise or right. Letting out a small huff delusion let Penthesilea speak before chiming in with her own opinions on the matter.

"Someone has to lead" She agreed "Clearly you have never seen what happens in a pack when there are too many leaders and not enough followers, wolves bicker and fight and very little ever gets done. No there has to be some form of hierarchy or you risk anarchy...anarchy is good for no wolf, neither the followers nor the leaders" She expressed with a slight furrowing of her brow. "But while it must be so - it is also important for leaders to act in the best interest of their followers, for what is a leader without followers then a rogue wandering with no idea what to do..or followers without a leader who run about doing as they wish despite the fact that wishes are not always good for you?" She asked of the blue wolf. "It is a mutually beneficially relationship - and you should not be angry at others just because you could not live up to your responsibilities."

Her voice was light and non judgmental but it was clear that Delusion felt Kai was shirking his duties n life. unfortunately she didn't think she would be able to convince him of this, Neither did she seem worried of the males raised hackles and fierce look. No with Domo here she merely brushed it off as one would brush off the growls of a pup.

Aah, it was inevitable that such topics would crop up given this company. Domovoi had never heard of a pack of feminine dominance before - very Amazonian, he thought - so perhaps it was a recent one beginning to develop? Though the queen did say she was searching for her sisters, which implied that something had happened to break them up . . . Tough times indeed, especially with that patch of darkness in the center of Telk growing and past, mysterious disappearances with male pups. Were they related? Oh gods, let them never end up meddling with that sort of wolf folk . . .

The women shot down Kai's opinions with reason that Domo too agreed with, though at most the omega tilted his head slightly to Delusion, a movement that could have meant anything to the strangers. He did not wish to interrupt the conversation, but they had reached their intended destination, so the servant cleared his throat politely. "My lady, we have brought them to the river as promised. Shall we take our leave now?"

At the Delusion's final comment, Kai began to speak, but caught himself, realizing that nothing he said would make any difference. Besides, it would be very poor taste indeed to argue further with someone who was at least attempting to show him kindness.

"Thank you," he said, to Domo. "This will be quite sufficient."

And, indeed, the sight of water leavened his heart slightly, and the blue wolf made his way to the water's edge, testing its temperature tentatively with a paw.

Penthesilea was quite relieved when they reached the river as it meant she no longer had to suffer the blue males company any longer. Her eyes kept on him as he left the group and moved to the waters edge. The way he dipped his paw in the water made Penthesilea question if he had ever fished. Well he was no longer a concern of hers - not that he ever was, but she turned her attention to Delusion.

"It was a pleasure meeting your Princess." She said with a slight tip of her head. "If you ever find yourself in or near Antianeira lands then you are more than welcome to stay for as long as you like. Our hospitality and protection will always be open to you," her eyes moved to Domo for a moment before returning to Delusion. "As well as your servant. I do hope you will consider my offer, I would love to speak with you again some time."

Delusion glanced over at the river as Domo spoke, indeed they had. She had done what she had promised and had no more business with Kai. "Very well Domo, we'll continue on our" She assured him with a brief glance knowing that he was anxious in the company of the strangers.

She watched as Kai made his way to the water's edge, she might have wished him luck but she was in a slight huff over the remark he had made earlier and so was content to simply let him go on his own. Crazy male with crazy ideals...

Turning her head as Penthesilea spoke Delusion nodded her head "That is a kind offer, and I shall certainly remember it" She told the feathered queen with a slight bow of her head. "Good luck in your search for your sisters' She told her sincerely before taking her leave "come along Domo!" She called out chipperly to her companion as she trotted off.

Domovoi took the time to bow his head one last time to the pair. "Thank you for your understanding of our situation, your highnesses," he said, "and may you take our haste with good graces. I enjoyed listening." He then lifted his head and trotted after Delusion at her command, breathing a sigh of relief as they parted ways with the other nobles. In a way he felt odd to leave them behind, but it was for their greater good (which was wat he was most concerned about, Delu's well-being more than others' as promised when he first met her). Kai might seem the type to get in trouble, but the queen Penthesilea was a strong woman; though leaving them together might lead to interesting arguements . . .

Regardless, Domovoi kept at the princess's heels, prepping himself for another long day of travel as the light allowed them. In the least they had something to talk about as they walked.

"Bye then," Kai called after them, feeling perhaps just a touch hurt -- a part of him had rather hoped that perhaps they would choose to linger to speak with him. Delusion had intrigued him; something about her manner had touched on his mind in a way that he was very interested....but, well, never mind. Probably best to let it go, in truth.

Shrugging, he turned back to the water's edge. It was cool and comfortable, and in the depths of the river he could see small, silver fishes darting about, unaware of his presence. That, at least, filled him with hope, and he plunged his paw into the water in a long, deft movement, swiping upwards to toss the fish airborne so that he could snatch it with his jaws in a well-practiced maneuver.

Part of him truly hoped that the amazon queen had seen him in action, but he suspected she was already long gone.

Penthsilea gave the princess one final bow of her head as she left, her servant following not far behind. Hopefully one day she would find the pair at Antianeira's border, even if they were only passing through. There was much more she wished to discuss with Delusion but she could tell that the princess was somewhat in a hurry, as she herself was.

Turning Penthesilea padded off completely ignoring the blue male at the waters edge. She didn't give him another thought, as she returned to her search for her missing sisters - a search that she hoped would prove to be fruitful.
