Nearly, im second, and gosh the other people who're clarinets have been playing way longer than i have.

im the best in my class =D i mean, im in grade 8 and of course like all the higher grades are tons better then i am but im best in my class and i think probably out of all the grade 8's which is funny because Ive been playing for less time tan this other girl and im so much better than she is. See the other flutes in my class, they're good but they have no concept that a flute is meant to be a pretty and light instrument and so they blast out all these wrong notes. I think they were born to be trumpets (im just kidding!!!!!! god) but yeah. except in my school, we dont have chairs. i wish we did tho because i love being a teachers pet mrgreen

Well, I'm not the BEST in either of my sections (clarinets and saxes) then again... my clarinet section leader is first chair in all state and all southern in high school. If I practiced the way I should, I could be better than him, my private teacher even told me so (after giving both of us lessons at band camp). Also, there are 18 clarinets and 23 saxes, so theres plenty of competition.

i made it first chair and im ahead of 6 other eighth graders and i made it 38th in the competition!! -dances-

Um, I play oboe. I'm the ONLY ONE in my section. It would be hard NOT to be the best... xd

I be the ONLY one in my section.
There are two under me, though, in a different band.
I play bari sax.
The three band directors ALWAYS compliment me on my good tone qualities and this random guy came up to me after a concert and said I did good (I think he might have meant the band in general, but whatever). Also, like all of these peoples came to our rehearsals when we were getting ready for this big concert at the Cleveland Convention Center and two complimented me on my tone.

But everyone tells me to be louder and I try, but I usually run out of breath after like three measures. x_x So I play medium-ly except in pep band, which I blast in, because no one seems to understand the aspect of being PEPPY. They're all so...quiet. O_O But I shine through them all, baby. <3

If you mean in playing your instrument then yes. But if you mean better as in knowing more about it then no. I don't mean note wise but in other stuff thingy stuff thingy stuff... did I mention thingy stuff.
