Ssussun waited for Mikaril to get himself comfortable before moving to crawl onto the bed herself. Soon... Soon they'd have a better bedroom to share. Ssussun was a tingle with excitement. Mikaril was not exactly her first quest. She had dabbled in seduction and it's outcome with a few other males. It was sort of expected really. Ssussun however had always insisted on taking her pleasure from males in cities they passed. Males who would not be inclined to following her and the circus. She didn't want to have to deal with a male she had grown tired of. It would ruin the working relationship possibly if she chose from those who belonged to Laz'erou. Too much rested on tentative trust when traveling the Underdark.
So for her to take a husband, to make him a part of the circus. There was a new element to this relationship. Ssussun found it rather exciting because of that. She moved to place her hand upon Mikaril's knee, and leaned in towards him. "Oh Ril..." She murmured softly, the lids of her painted eyes lowering a little as she ever so casually brushed against him. "I am so very very happy. You know. I never actually thought of myself as the marrying sort of girl. But I think that's because I never found a male good enough to consider it. You...are a good male Mikaril. I hope that we stayed married a very long time." She murmured before seeking to press her lips firmly to his.

Taking a deep breath as he felt the touch of Ssu's hand on his knee, Mikaril fought to stay calm and collected as he saw the female lean in to him. He listened to her words, so vibrant with hope and desire, and a little irony. She thought SHE would never get married?? If anyone, be they drow or dwarf or even messenger of the Goddess, had told Mikaril that he was destined to be wed, he would have laughed in their faces. He would have traveled to the surface before getting linked to a female, who would undoubtedly abuse him every night until she finally got with child and became too swollen to do it properly. Then she would doubtless have another consort do it for her. It sounded like one Hell of a life, and it was something that he could happily do without.
But.....looking at his situation right now, and with the female that he had ended up with, he found it a whole lot harder to just deny the entire thing, or even pass it off as pretend. If it really was pretend....it wouldn't hurt this much. He found tears starting to wind their way down his face as Ssu moved in for a kiss, and he put up a hand to stay her. "I'm so sorry Ssu, but......you're wrong. I'm a horrible male. I tried to tell you that I wouldn't be any good, and I'm not. My being a bad male is the whole reason I......I've been running from my house in Undrek'Thoz. I never did learn my place, and I paid a heavy price for it, one that was supposed to have killed me. But....it left me broken and scared. I wish I could please you the way you want, but......I don't know if I have it in me. I've lost so much from that......I'm not sure if I have any more to give." Biting his lip, Mikaril reached up and wiped the moisture from his eyes, not wanting Ssu to see him as even more pathetic than he was surely perceived as now.

She had not even touched him yet and he was already in tears? Ssussun came to a pause as Mikaril held his hand up. She looked at him, her face mildly flickering with disappointment and confusion. He'd never gotten this emotional on her before. There was soft..then there was ...this.
As Mikaril spoke, she found it very easy to believe that he was every bit the broken male he described himself as. No male in his right mind would break into tears like this if he wasn't already wounded deeply. Well..that was a bit of a mood killer now wasn't it? At the same time, she was not completely surprised by his words. She knew he had to have a very good reason to fear returning to this particular city. She knew that it had to be something terrifying to allow her to manipulate him into this marriage so effortlessly. How was she to handle this now?
Mikaril reached up to wipe away the tears from his eyes, and Ssu leaned back a bit. What to do? What to say? Every ounce of her female nature said to brush it off. Merely take him. If he was so worthless and broken then what did it matter what she did now? As far as everyone was concerned, and in the eyes of Lloth, Mikaril was her's.
But...what about that..thing...that strange vibe between him and Kyil?
Ssussun lifted her hand, and for a second time between them, she snapped her wrist out to slap it across Mikaril's face. Just as the time before though, she cupped her palm, so the slap had a louder effect without requiring the full force behind it to actually hurt. "How dare you." She challenged him. Her lips pursed into a angry scowl.
"How dare you tell me I'm wrong. Who are you to decide what I think and feel? Your just a male, it's a females privilege to determine just how worthy or unworthy a male is to her. I don't give a damn what some other female may have filled your head with. Your my Husband and I would never chose a male unworthy of my attention.I would never degrade myself by picking some weak pathetic male to attach to my life. This is my reputation, I would never make a mockery of myself!" Ssussun's features remained firm as she spoke. Her hand reached out in an attempt to grasp at Mikaril's chin as she continued her softly spoken rant.
"You are not broken. You have pleased me very much. I do not know what your talking about. I've taken everything from you thus far that I want. You have given me nothing but satisfaction. You have just confused yourself with all these other thoughts. Now no more of this fussing. It is our wedding day and I want a kiss from my husband. If I do not want anything more then that, then it has nothing to do with you or how you may be lacking. It is just because I've decided I'm not ready to do anything more yet."

He should have known that the physical answer to his idiotic babbling was coming, but it still surprised him. He sat there, once again with wide eyes and drying tears, and again marveling at the lack of sting that the slap left behind on his cheek. Either Ssu didn't know how to slap properly, or, more likely, she wasn't trying to hurt him into silence, but merely stun him into silence. At any rate, it worked. He sat there with a face flushed in shame as she chided him, feeling as though he would love nothing better to find a muddy spot outside and wallow there, even in his fine clothes. He hadn't wanted to imply that Ssu had disgraced herself; he had still intended to outwardly act as the best male that he could, in order to keep up the pretense to others, but he just felt as though he would bust right out of his skin if he didn't tell her once more what it was she insisted on having. If only he could make her understand! Kyil had understood, the first time they had met. He had been so kind and understanding, listening and observing the pains of others; how long had it taken Mikaril to get him to share his own burdens? It suddenly occured to him that Ssu might have burdens of her own; secrets and shames, just like his. And she was remaining strong and not blubbering into her fine clothes like a child after his first beating.
He meekly allowed his chin to be cupped, and he met Ssu's gaze as squarely as he could, willing the remnants of tears to dry on his face and angrily shoving back any more that wanted to surface. "I....I'm sorry.....I didn't mean.....I know you chose me, and I'm grateful. I guess I'm just not used to.....actually pleasing a female. It's a bit frightening when it hasn't ever happened before." Which was completely true; how many times had he sought to please his mother and had his efforts shot down and trodden upon? He should be happy that according to Ssu, everything he had ever done had pleased her. And yet......he found that he couldn't quite believe the last part. She said that she had taken everything that she wanted from him, but he knew that it wasn't so. He remembered the way she had looked at him so often in the past; there was no way all that desire was for a mere couple of kisses. He knew that deep down, she was wanting to take him, claim him, ensure that he was no longer a stranger to the ways of the bedroom. But still, after all of that, she was still holding herself back, even now when it would be completely within her right to do so! Why wasn't she?
Biting his lip, he nodded at her, forcing himself to smile, though not widely, lest it look too obvious that he was just trying to seem as though he had camled sufficiently. "Yes....it's the least I could do, after all you've done for us, for Kyil and Mikkyila.....and for me." He closed his eyes as he let his body relax more, and when he felt Ssu's lips touching his, he allowed himself to be swept up in the moment, letting the feelings he had nurtured for her blossom like a rose at it's zenith.....then his eyes suddenly flew open in sheer terror as he heard a faint popping sound, seeming as loud as a snapping bone in the silence of the wagon. He knew that sound all too well, and he felt his breath catch in his throat. In all the excitement with the wedding that same day, he hadn't had a moment to himself to renew the illusion spell on his ears, and so he had forgotten. But now they were there, in all their hideous whiteness, and it was far too much to hope that Ssu had not seen the sudden change, or at least not heard the noise.

The look on Mikaril's face after the slap was sort of satisfying. He looked properly stunned, but without the look of pain she was attempting to avoid. Oh, Ssussun knew that pain was a excellent tool for controlling ones male. Thar was what Mikaril was. Even if she had told him the marriage was pretend... well that was a lie now wasn't it? They had been married by a priestess in front of so many others. Mikaril was her's..she only chose to let him keep thinking the marriage was fake. It wasn't like he was going to run off on her anytime soon! Ssussun held his chin in her palm for a few moments longer as Mikaril faced her. She listened to his hesitant apology, and her head bobbed up and down in a short nod.
"Then enough of that. If you displease me I'll be very sure to let you know. Really Ril. If you had never pleased me I wouldn't be putting myself in this situation! Honestly. What female in her right mind places herself directly in the path of another female if the thing she is doing it for isn't worth it?" Ssussun's hand slipped from Mikaril's chin so she could lightly tap his nose with one perfectly painted nail. Her red eyes crinkled with a bit of a smirk as she leaned in towards him. "Females rarely fight over males unless it's some sort of contest of pride and position Ril. Since I don't know this other female, there are not many other reason's I'd contend with her you know."
With Mikaril relaxing his stiff position, Ssussun felt herself eager to move on to..well..kissing she supposed. Just because they were married it did not mean Ril was going to bend to her will like a wet root. She moved her arms to lightly wrap around his shoulders so she could focus on obtaining what little she could right now out of her male. Her lips touched his, and she closed her eyes. Such soft lips! So yielding and meek. There was no dangerous bite to them. Just this..gentle weakness that she adored. Mikaril was not an aggressive male, which was just one of his most endearing qualities. As Ssussun enjoyed the meeting of their lips, she heard the strangest sound. Pulling back,s he opened her eyes and blinked. At first she had though perhaps, by some ill turn of luck, a bolt had broken on the bed under their weight. But in the dim light there was something acutely...well..out of place.
Normally the white of Mikaril's hair was nothing to notice. But she'd always been able to see the cute little wedges of his ears when his hood was down. Now though..they looked so very very very...wrong. Furrowing her brows, Ssussun's arms unwound from Mikaril's shoulders as she reached to grasp his ears by their tips so she could rub her thumb pads over them. "Ril....What in the name of Lloth is this!?"

As though the entire thing was happening in slow motion, Mikaril saw Ssu's eyes meet the stark whiteness of his ears, saw them widen, radiating shock. He felt her passionate grasp on him loosen, saw her hands reach out to grasp his ears, and he winced hard as he felt their touch; not because it actually hurt, but for fear that she might unconsciously react the way he had reacted so often when he had seen them; just yanking them out and casting them into an abyss where they could rot like twin white maggots. Not to mention the fact that they had experienced so much pain since Haellara had learned of their existance. Not even he treated them with any sort of gentleness outside of the standard cleaning.
"It.......they're.......p-please don't look at them." He felt his entire face burning with shame as he fought not to tear himself away from Ssu; he feared his ears might just come away in her hands if he did. In his nervousness and terror, he started babbling like a dripping vein that had been cut. "I'm so sorry; I should have told you sooner, but I was so scared to; I could barely show Kyil when we first met. My sister; she cast a spell on me when I was little and tried to turn me into a.....a unicorn. It didn't work right away but it's been happening slowly ever since and I can't fix it. I can't ask anyone for help because they'll kill me, so I've been hiding it. I'm so sorry; please forgive me." He wished so much that he could hang his head in shame; he couldn't bear her seeing him like this! Her approval had come to mean so much to him, and now it was all ruined, because of HER. Even here, where the promise of a new life dwelled, she could still ruin things.
Swallowing a lump in his throat, Mikaril made himself hold his head steady, looking at Ssu's face and feeling the shock of it cutting into his insides. "Do.....do you hate me?"

How queer! Ssussun looked at the white tipped ears in her hands. She did not pull or yank them, but she certainly wasn't going to release them yet. Ssussun ran her thumbs over the strange flesh. It felt... "Is this fur?" She spoke over Mikaril as he stammered. Ssussun's head tilted to one side and she released one of his ears to focus on the second. She pushed his hair back so she could get a better view of the weird white things. Mikaril was babbling over an explanation. Blah blah scared. Blah blah sister.
"So this it a magic spell?" She continued, her red eyes suddenly lit up. She didn't even hear his trembling question of hate. "Oh...my..Goddess..." She breathed softly, she could feel her heart racing as she gently petted the ear she held. "Your...your turning into a Pony Boy!" She exclaimed with sheer delight. "Oh oh oh! Do you have a tail too!? That would be so...so cute!" Ssussun shifted back and dropped her hands down towards the waist of Mikaril's pants. She paused then, before actually grabbing his pants to rip them from him. "Wait? Hate you? Oh Goddess no!" Ssussun tilted her head back and gave a trilling laugh of delight. "Oh Ril! Your so adorable!! Do you have any idea how cute animal ears are on a boy? Oh sure, I doubt Ninety Nine percent of the females in the underdark wouldn't know how to appreciate a cute little half animal boy. But really! I think they are the most darling things I've ever seen! I just wanna kiss them! In fact, I think I'm going to!" Ssu moved her hands again, though this time she reached to loop her arms around Mikaril's neck as she attempted to do just that!

Mikaril had already gone into a state of wincing, trying to prepare for whatever Ssu was going to say, be it abject denial or her outraged cry for him to leave her wagon and never come back. He shivered as he felt her thumbs running over the ultra-sensitive fuzz on his ears. "I think so.....it's more like fuzz, but it feels....everything." He continued to let himself be examined, wondering just what she thought of his explanation, and the hideous things that had taken the place of his ears.
Whatever the reaction he had expecting, it was NOT the one that Ssu had. "P-Pony Boy?" He almost found himself laughing aloud at the thoguht of his having a tail, but any laughter died on his lips as he realized that in time, he might very well have a tail. The thought was so terrifying and distracting that he didn't even notice Ssu's hand straying dangerously close to his pants. But when he heard Ssu gushing on about how cute they were, how much she loved them, he couldn't take it. "Wait, Ssu, please; you don't understand. I mean.....I'm glad you like them and don't hate them, but.....it's not going to end with this. Sooner or later, I....I may get hooves instead of hands, and I won't be able to touch anything ever again, or I could grow a horn and be hunted for it, or a multitude of worse things." He felt himself wanting to sob hysterically, but not wanting another slap, painless or no, he fought to keep it in check. "I might even lose my mind and forget you all; it's a curse, and I can't break it. Do you still want me, even then?"

Ssu's mood dampened a bit as she finally took note of the clear fear in Mikaril's voice and eyes. Ssussun removed her hands from Mikaril, but instead moved to swing a leg over his lap. So she might sit in his lap facing him as she inspected his face and ears more clearly. "How long ago was the spell cast?" She asked with her best effort not to reach out and stroke his ears. "If it's happening quickly we will worry about it now. If it's been slow as you seem to have made me think then there is no rush. It's only a magic spell Ril. It's not like it's a Priestess Drider Curse. Then I don't think I'd be comfortable at all around you." Ssussun lifted a hand to gently rub her palm over Mikaril's forehead searchingly. "Relax. No matter how much you may change I wouldn't let anyone hunt you or chop off bits of you. We'll know well before you actually do lose your mind if you were going to." Ssussun pulled her lips upwards into a grin and chuckled softly. "We travel so much. I'll just check each city for the most powerful spell-casters and see what they have to offer in the way of curse removal. We will find something eventually. If not down here, then the surface of course. There is more magic in the world then you can imagine my husband!"

"Well....." Mikaril paused to think. How long had it been since that fateful day? He had been a page prince then, and while the change had been all too soon in coming, it had been slow and gradual in continuing. All he had to show for it since that day were a pair of unicorn ears and the smaller, less visible change that he had noticed as he and Kyil had sailed across the Glimmersea and away from Undrek'Thoz; a gradual lightening of his fingertips. The very thought of his fingers lighting, stiffening, and eventually becoming hooves was more than he could bear. Without the means to even hold a knife, how would he possibly be able to defend Kyil and Mikkyila, and even Ssu should the need ever arise to aid in protecting the strong female.
Speaking of protecting.... Mikaril looked up at Ssu with wide eyes, and not because he was frightened. So many drow would be falling all over themselves to catch him and lop off his ears to use in potions, or even complete the transformation and hunt him down for sport. Even as he knew that she had married him because she liked him, he had no idea that he meant so much to her that she would even offer to go through the trouble of hunting down a cure for him. He had thought that only Kyil was capable of such kindness on his account.
"You'd really do that.....for me?" Before he quite knew it, he was reaching over and enveloping Ssu in a hug. "Thank you so much. I'm glad that you think me worth all the trouble......and still be able to please you." He almost choked on his tongue as he hesitantly added, "If.......if you like the ears so much, maybe whoever breaks the spell can find a way to keep them."

Ssussun shifted herself to be a touch more comfortable in Mikaril's lap while she waited for him to answer her. If he really was going to transform quickly this was something she needed to take care of...but honestly She doubted it would be a problem for them. There were mages all over the underdark after all...hm... maybe she should have Mikkyila looked at too. If the curse had been on Mikaril when she was created, who was to say it didn't pass to the baby? Kyil was a magical sponge right?
"Hmm? Oh yes. Of course." Ssussun answered Mikaril with a distracted nod of her head. Now that she thought of it. Why hadn't he had Kyil suck the spell out or off him? Ssussun's Eyes fell down as Mikaril wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Well...he really was very emotional over this? How odd. Really. Ril had the strangest concerns it seemed. Ssussun lifted a hand to run her fingers through Mikaril's hair slowly.
"No...no...the ears are from your past life. They come with a bad memory. I'd rather make a better memory with you by giving you back your real ears back. You are my Ril. This is more important to me. Right here...right now. You are mine and that is very satisfying to me." Ssussun spoke with a firm nodding of her head.

When Mikaril had been alone, and even when he had been with Kyil, Mikaril had been positively terrified at the mere thought of going to a sorcerer for aid in curing his curse. He didn't trust a single soul, and he didn't tell Ssu that he had already asked Kyil to try his hand at removing the spell. It had caused him so much pain that he had begged Kyil to stop. It was for that reason that he was certain that a typical fix would not do for his ailment. He would have to have something special to put this behind him, even more so if Ssu really did take him up on his offer to keep the ears even after the danger of them getting worse had been lifted.
He found himself relaxing as Ssu stroked his head, not caring if her newly taken male was a small part hideous monster and all parts frightened as a waif on a slave ship. But now, with a house name to wave around, perhaps any sorcerer willing to give it a try would reconsider doing him harm. "Thank you so much for trying. But I think you should know....I've tried a few things already to remove them. Because the spell is wrongly cast, I think it has to have something different than normal to remove it. But I want so badly to try anything just to have them gone. I'm a drow, not a unicorn. And I want so much to be pleasing to you."
Sighing as he felt himself overwhelmed by calm, Mikaril pulled away just enough to give Ssu a smile. "If you still find me adorable, you can keep kissing me, and then we can go and see everyone. But not before I renew my spell; you may think I'm cute, but I don't think I would be long for this world if your mother saw these."
