Santheas shook his head and smirked, "You always did have a thing for brownies. I'll see what I can do, but you still have to have something warm to eat that's healthier. It's my responsibility to worry about your health as an adult," he said, pausing and then looking down at Deskri, "Aren't you older than me?" frowns in puzzlement before following after Edumnd.

"Err, nice to meet you too kiddo," he replied with a grin. "I think the school kitches would be a good idea. I don't know where else you get food around here otherwise."

"Oh c'mon, what's warm and healthy that I haven't already shot down?" Deskri sighed, rolling his eyes sarcastically. "And no, you're born in August, I'm in October..." He laughed a little, shaking his head. "How feral did you get, anyway? Sono's the one that's older than you..."

Off Edmund headed towards the school kitchens. That was a place he was definitely sure of. He did really have a weakness for eating. He listened to Santheas and Deskri talk aback and forth. "We could make mac and cheese." He offered. "It's warm...but I don't know if it's healthy." Then he listened to them talk about birthdays. "Mine's in October too Deskri. October twenty-second." he gave him another shy smile at having October birthdays in common.

[So...lol Edmund is older then Deskri by a day?]

"Ah, that's right, isn't it..." Santheas replied with wonder. It had really been so long. They were already several years old, but adults none-the-less; or at least Santheas was an adult. He didn't know about any of the others.

They arrived at the kitchens, probably noisily too. Santheas was surprised that no one else had come to investigate yet. "Mac and Cheese probably isn't good for you, but I'm sure it's fine for a small snack," he said tieing back his kimono sleeves before washing his hands and setting to work on somethign for the kids.

"You're so weird, San..." Deskri shook his head a little and then found himself a spot to sit. He figured that if he tried making himself anything San would smack his hand and tell him to sit down... He wouldn't making anything healthy to eat.

"You're on the twenty-second?" He eyed Edmund, figuring the kid had caught the sickness and got reverted. How sad. "I'm the day after that..." Then again, as his mind wandered, Rasiel was younger than he was by a day and yet Rasiel was a lot bigger than him. Asu hadn't been joking when she said all those brownies 'n soda were going to stunt his growth. He let out a sigh, being short wasn't too bad. "Mac 'n cheese is fine San... There's milk in it? Milk's good... right?"

[Deskri fails at nutrition. XD; So do I though... and fff Edmund is older than Deskri by a day. hahaahaaa]

Edmund watched Santheas start making something with interest. He wanted to learn how to cook when he was older, so he was always watching to see if he could pick anything up early. "Milk is good. It's got calcium and it will make your bones stronger." Edmund knew a little about nutrition from what he had been taught. He pondered a bit. "I don't think there's much in the cheese and noodles though." He glanced around and his voice dropped down softer. He felt like he was going on about food more then he should so he fell quiet and watched Santheas work.

Santheas chuckled, "Yes, milk is good, but the simple carbs in the noodles aren't," he pointed out. "If you wanted healthy noodles, you would use whole wheat, but then it wouldn't taste as good," he said, tossing the cheese packet in the trash while he boiled the water and dragged some real cheese out of the fridge to grate it up. "I won't feed you kids that fake cheese though. Mac and Cheese tastes best with REAL cheese."

As the water boiled, he turned around and dumped the noodles in and went back to preparing a dish for the macaroni and preheated the oven, "Deskri, could you please stir the noodles for me," he kindly ordered as he preped the cheese and went on to making something else that involved chocolate.

"Edmund, how many years old are you?" he asked. At the mention of age, Santheas was actually curious now.

"You and your nutrition..." Deskri rolled his eyes a little. "But fake cheese is delicious." He stuck his tongue out, teasing. He'd be willing to try the real cheese at least once, since San was going out of his way to make food for him. "Sure, sure..." He set his clothes on a counter and then stirred at the noodles a bit.

Edmund was sitting and watching, swinging his legs slightly. He was enjoying watching Santheas cook and he gave a little chuckle about real cheese versus the fake. "Yeah I always like when there's real stuff in food. When me and my mom make sundaes, she makes real whipped cream. It's really good."

He then watched Santheas switch over to the chocolate and wondered if he was going to make brownies. Next he turned his gaze back to Deskri as he stirred the noodles. "Well...I think Mom said I'm technically three. But she also says that since I'm starting over we can start counting over if I want..." He wasn't really sure what he wanted as far as that went. Sometimes he thought that starting totally new would be less confusing and less worrying.

Adding eggs, oil, and water with a splash of vanilla to his chocolate mix, Santheas began to stir it up as Edmund spoke. His eyes closed slowly as he thought for a moment while continuing his work, "So you're within our years then," he murmured, finishing up his whisking of the brownie batter.

"Deskri, if the noodles are nice and soft, could you turn off the stove and drain them for me. I trust you not to burn yourself, even if you don't mind the pain," he said, pulling out to casserol dishes, lining them both with tinfoil and filling one with the chocolate which he promptly put into the heated oven and then waited for the noodles.

"Edmund, that decision will be up to you, but I think it's cooler to start from your original age. Even if you don't remember any of it, you were still alive, right?" he pointed out with a wink, "It would be a little sad to predend you didn't exist.

"I'm not stupid San I at least know how to boil noodles..." Deskri retorted lightly with a roll of his eyes. He tested one of the noodles, not at all minding the burning sensation that spread over his fingers. He was deliberately ignoring San's "request" that he not burn himself for the time being.

Finding the noodle satisfactory, he turned off the stove and then found a pair of mitts so that he could take the pot over to the sink. Once there he got a drainer and then dumped the noodles into it.

Edmund fell silent as he considered what Santheas said. He wasn't sure really. Maybe it would be sad to pretend he hadn't existed before, but sometimes he thought it was easier then acknowledging that he did. Usually when he started thinking about his life before he was sick he found that he was consumed with wondering and worry about what kind of person he was before and what he had said and done.

He gave Santheas a slow nod. "Yeah it probably would be sad, but sometimes when I think about the past too much it makes me sad too." he admitted quietly. He turned his gaze to his hands which were currently fiddling with a bit of string he had picked up from his pocket.
