Jason looks down at Turtwig who had just let go of his leg. "What was that for?"
Meanwhile, Link walked into town with earbuds in that connected to his PokeGear on his waist. His Umbreon followed closely behind him. He was on his way to drop something off the Prof. Elm gave him to give to Prof. Rowan. He looked up and saw a small group of trainers standing outside Rowan's lab. He scoffed as he removed the earbuds. "Johto's got better music stations anway," he said as he turned his PokeGear off.

"Turtwig!" Jason's Turtwig said as it began to rub up against his leg. Jason looked down at his Pokemon confused. "Okay then..."

Dawn giggled. "Turtwig's usually do that when they like somebody," she said, "I'm sure you'll get used to it."

Kisuke shakes his head, and turns to start walking again, having no idea what to say to either of the two.

Jason watched as the other boy began to walk away. "Hey!" he said standing up. "What's the rush?" he asked stopping in front of him with Turtwig following closely behind.

Dawn watched as Jason dashed after the other boy. "Oh geez..." she said, "I hope he's not planning on battling him."

Jason continued to eye the other boy, observing him.
Link watched from a distance as the trainers gathered. "Piplup, Turtwig, and Chimchar, huh?" he said to himself, "Looks like those three are just getting their journey started, eh, Luna?" He looked down at his Umbreon that had laid down next to him.

Kisuke looks at Jason. "What do you mean, what's my rush? I don't want to lag in my journey. There's tons of Pokemon to meet! And, I want to meet them all!" he says, grinning at Chimchar. "Right, buddy?" Chimchar grins back at his trainer, and nods. "Chim chimchar!"

Dawn sighed. "I knew it..." she said hanging her head slightly. The Piplup in her arms looked up at her and said, "Pip Piplup!"

Jason smiled. "That's right!" he said pointing at the boy, "Because this Turtwig is gonna help me become a champion."
"Guess that's my cue," Link said before striding over to the group of new trainers, with Luna following him. "So you want to be a champion, eh?" he said addressing the one dressed in green.
Jason turned as he saw a young man approaching them. "What's it to you?"

Kisuke raises his eyebrows at both Jason, and the newcomer. "I don't care to be Champion... I just want to travel the world and see all kinds of Pokemon. If I must battle Gym Leaders, then I will."

Link smiled. "Both of those are admirable goals," he said, "But I should warn you, many challenges lay in your path."
Jason smirked at Link. "That's alright by me," he said, "I've have some tough Pokemon to help me get through them!"
Link smiled wider. "I like your attitude," he said, "But what really interests me is to see how you fight. Both of you." He looked between both the boys before asking, "How about a two-on-two match? You two versus me."
Jason nodded and said enthusiascally, "Yeah! Let's do it!"
