FOXCLOVES I Have A Question! Browser: Question: Thank you for your time! heart
Additional Info: My sister told me it can but i am not sure. No, when your computer is off there is not power running to any of the drives and data transfer is disabled. However it would be possible for them to place something on your computer prior to you turning it off and then obtaining the needed information on the next start up.

Wanted to recommend that you add AVG Free 9.0 to your list. It combines AVG's great anti-virus and anti-spyware all into one program.
Links AVG Home Page: http://www.avg.com/us-en/homepage
Cnet Download Page: http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html
Also the Firefox add-on KeyScrambler Personal page on Mozilla's add on section is out of date, to get the latest version of the add-on you have to go to KeyScrambler's home page and get it there.

I am trying to shy away from posting links to different Anti-virus programs, simply because some people will find it to be a hassle. Ty for the info on the KeyScrambler link, I will update it later tonight

Yternity I Have A Question! Browser: Firefox and Google Chrome Question: How do you protect a mac from hackings? :c Thank you for your time! heart Additional Info:To be quite honest, Macs are inherently safer than PCs and are much much more difficult to hack. To date I believe there has only been 1 virus that has ever been created that infected Macs and was eventually nullified through a patch. I personally do not know much beyond very basic information about macs. I personally wouldn't worry much as a mac user, you could always look for Mac compatible versions of the software I posted or an equivalent of them if something does currently exist. http://www.clamxav.com/Is like Malwarebytes, but for Macs. The company has noted on the front page that there are currently no malicious programs to really worry about.

I Have A Question! Browser: Firefox Question: Is the master password option for Firefox a 'safe' option? Thank you for your time! heart Additional Info: I've always wondered about the safety of using a 'master password'. I will say I haven't used it, mainly because I am a paranoid person. So I ask you x3.
I would think it would work great if it was protected enough that way you could use longer more sophisticated passwords for each of your websites/accounts to keep hackers away. Especially on Gaia, as most exchangers who are here are probably in the Marketplace looking to snatch a good deal.
Big time difference in typing:
Example A: ihatehackers
To,
Example B: IhaT3.Z1ki7LOGMEOUT75.3HackERS
Also, if I am thinking this through correctly you would be further protected from keyloggers.
Because a keylogger would read that you put in 'ihatehackers', the master password, and then Firefox would past 'IhaT3.Z1ki7LOGMEOUT75.3HackERS'.
Depending on the reliability and security of the 'master password' function I would think it would pave way towards yet another way to protect yourself allowing more longer, complex, passwords. I know plenty of people who use shorter passwords (even the same) for multiple sites because they don't want to be looking at the piece of paper they wrote it down on every time they log in. If there was a master password they might be inclined to make better safer passwords.

Thought I might psot this here in ase it happens to anyone: It's on the Gaia Facebook page: " important my friend told me to tell all of my friends this. If someone by the name of j_neutron07 wants to add you to their list don't accept it. Its a virus. Tell everyone on your list because if somebody on your list adds them you will get it too. It is a hard drive killer and a very horrible virus. Please pass on to everyone on your list. We need to find out who is using this accounts. Sorry for the inconvenience. Copy and paste this message to everyone on your list!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! P.S. his other name is umakemefeelgo "

The most possibly overlooked tip is to not look like an obvious target for hacking. In other words, don't look rich, and tell everyone to send their offers on the Exchange thru PM. Assuming you don't go on any shady sites *coughsporncoughs* then you should be ready to go. JamSiee_Boy- Thought I might psot this here in ase it happens to anyone: It's on the Gaia Facebook page: " important my friend told me to tell all of my friends this.
