Seeing Vira's reaction just made him smirk even more, his hand moving from her cheek and instead he walked his long elegant fingers up across her brow and along her nose before trailing down beneath her chin and neck.
"Well I don't know about that..." he practically purred at her, snow white hair mixing with her turquoise locks to look like a breaking wave in the sea.
"They follow your orders after all, maybe it is You in need of forgiveness?" he suggested, the smirk on his lips impossible to distinguish between flirtatious or cruel.

User ImageWhen his hand began to move, her eyes moved to follow when possible, shivering once more though not just from the cold. As his fingers passed her chin and neck it tickled, almost able to refocus despite that. However, the minute he purred at her it all went down the drain. God.... dammit! If this were an anime, she would have had swirly eyes, her eyes darting to his face before lowering. Was that the case?

Somehow her brain managed to fall into some sort of gear, shrugging a little though it wasn't like she could since his chin was still on her shoulder. "W-well.... They remain their own beings. I cannot presume to say that I control the elements of water and air. That would be arrogant and stupid..." She started softly, tilting her head away from him in the slightest. "However, they do listen to me. C-call it a um... a... a partnership. No... more like-" She paused to think of the right word, able to see the smirk on his lips. "Like asking a friend a favor. Or your sibling. I guess?" She shook her head again, now confusing herself, holding a hand in front of her face. A small breeze of cold air flowed over her, avoiding him rather carefully. "I stopped the sprite from attacking you. I didn't have to, but I did. If I do need forgiveness then so be it. Again, I am sorry about that." She ended up confirming, her hand lowering back to her side, cursing the blush that remained in her cheeks.

As she shook her head he removed his hand, giving her head breifly before continuing to let his fingers dance across her features.
"Your right, that would be awfully arrogant of you. Only the fae may assume control of elements...that is how it has always been, how it allways will be," he hissed, a bitterness to his tone that dared her to argue before he continued in his tempting purr again,
"Your intention was to protect me you say? Well...isn't that pointless," he seemed to be trying to be friendly, but probably just sounded insulting.
"Your little sibling or whatever you call it could not hurt me if it's pathetic life depended on it, to try would be suicide, and it knows it as well as I do..." Jareth's pride and general cockiness kicking in as he grew more comfortable around these new strangers. As he spoke he wondered how far he could push them, if he pulled their strings too much would they break or try and fight back? Either way it would be fun to find out...

User ImageSlowly, his fingers dancing along her features was having less effect upon her. At least, in terms of her being able to think straight. It stung a little to hear him say that only fae could control them, closing her eyes against a memory that threatened to surface. She shoved it back into it's dark box far away in her mind, she did not need that now. No one needed to know any of that. A wind sprite swirled between her fingers to comfort her, remaining invisible since she didn't want him lashing out at this little one too.

She was quiet until he was quite finished, quelling the wind sprites desire to get her away from this man or to attack him. "They are my friends. And you will show them some ounce of respect." The sprite darted to her other hand as the one it had been resting in moved up to gently move his hand away from her face. She then stepped away from him, turning to face him as the bright and bubbly facade fell away from her. Raising her eyes up to meet his, the golden depths seeming to burn before they calmed. "Just because your people can say that they can control them, does not mean you can't show respect to the elements. They are not tools, they are far more important than simple tools. You of all people should know that."

She glanced down as the wind sprite flew up her arm, holding onto her shoulder rather than doing anything. "I would learn some hubris if I were you, it's a healthy thing to have." She told him quietly, her eyes only holding a passivity that spread throughout her entire body. It was obvious she didn't want to fight. She realized full well that she probably wasn't expressing much hubris right now, but oh well. She just hoped they wouldn't fight at this point, or spar for that matter. "Forgive me if I have overstepped my boundaries, but I felt I had to do so." She added, her gaze holding even with his. She didn't want to show him weakness, not any at all. Otherwise he'd use it against her, it was just a feeling she had.

Jareth let her leave his side, taking a half step back as if the force of her rebuttle had stunned him. He was only faking, but he hoped that she would find it insulting.
"What you say is true, they are not tools...they are simply part of what is around us. As are the fae, the humans and every other being in the worlds," as she glared at him he stared straight back, icy eyes unblinking as the coldness of him met the burning gold of hers. With a flick of his wrist he made a ball of ice, so smooth and clear it could have been glass. As if ignoring the rules of gravity it began to roll back and forth across his upright hand, balancing on the tips of his nails before moving either way to fall down the length of his spindly fingers.
"Balance. Everything in it's place for the good of everything else. If you suspected there was a boundary you ought not to have overstepped it foolish child. I'd say that was more important then this 'hubris' you speak of," he said quietly, voice firm and confident.

User ImageVira was starting to have more and more trouble keeping the past from interfering in her mind, but she continued to not show it. She wasn't surprised nor impressed by his abilities, able to see it out of her peripheral vision because she refused to look away. It was sort of like a staring contest and she didn't want to lose. Though her lips tightened as he spoke of balance, her one hand tightening into a fist. She knew exactly what he reminded her of and it was taking some major will power not to react to that thought. Still, he did hold more control over his powers than she did but that wasn't what was at the forefront of her mind.

"I beg to differ. Life is a rolling tide, which means balance tends to fluctuate. Thus we must be flexible in order to adapt and find that balance once more. People, nature, it's the same. So sometimes old boundaries must be bent into order to maintain this 'balance' you praise so highly." Her voice never wavered once, confident in her own beliefs, yet it remained calm and soft. She then gave him a sweet smile, bringing back the nature she normally let the world see. No, she would show no weakness. Maybe this action would infuriate him, maybe not. She didn't care, she wasn't one to play games with people like he did. The wind sprite on her shoulder looked up to her and whispered something in her ear before flying off and vanishing. She had to giggle at what it had said, raising her eyes back up to his as she clasped her hands behind her back and took a step back. "Let that roll over in your head, neighbor. Elly, I'll see you later. Bye!" Turning, she hummed softly to herself, starting down the hallway to head outside. She wanted to fly. No, correction, she needed to. If he followed her then she fine, if not then fine anyways.

Jareth held back a snarl, as the girl began to fight back it annoyed him greatly. Back in his own court he would either be bowed to or do the bowing himself, there was none of this insecurity of position. She smiled sweetly to him, which only made him think she was mocking him, almost driving him over the edge.
As she turned to leave he let the ball fall, the perfect orb crashing to the floor and shattering into thousands of tiny fragments. To him, Vira had no real understanding of life, she spoke of the bending of boundaries but failed to see the larger picture.
"She is simply young...she will learn," he muttered to himself, confident that he could teach her that everytime a boundary flexed something would have to spring back into position. Shaking his head he looked to Elly, raising her chin and giving her a toothy grin. It may not have been noticed, but his teeth were slightly pointed, and closed together as a sharks might.
"Seems to me that not all of your kitties play nicely," he murmured, his head turning to follow Vira as she left, undecided if he should follow or not.

User ImageHearing the crash as the orb of ice shattered, she did not turn, she did not alter how she walked, she did not react. Though, in truth she was a little scared inside of what he may do to her later, but she couldn't let him see. He would just use it. Like the others did before. She ended up bounding down the stairs, running to those open doors, being mindful of those that were around her. She did wave to the couple of people she knew, giving them a bright smile, a wind sprite soaring at her shoulder.

The minute that she broke into open air, she took a deep breath in, a small gust breaking around her, buffeting her hair about. Looking to the sprite, she gave it a grin and nodded. "Lets go!" With that, she jumped up into the air, the wind lifting her up after that. She seemed to gain wings of wind, though it wasn't really visible at all. Not unless you knew what to look for. Giggling, she rose up higher into the air, a flock of sprites surrounding her. She followed after some that soared on ahead, laughing merrily as she did. Up here, the dark things in her mind couldn't touch her. They stayed on the ground, they stayed far away from her.

After she reached a certain altitude, her wings became a small buoy of wind that remained beneath her, keeping her in one spot. She watched as the new students came in, the smile faltering from her lips as she thought back to Jareth, her hands coming up to hold herself. "Only the fae may assume control of elements...that is how it has always been, how it always will be..." Her head bowed at that, hair falling free of it's bonds, flowing down her back. "But I don't even know who or what I am...." She sighed heavily, closing her eyes as she tried to regain her bouncy bubble, a water sprite suddenly coming up and splashing her in the face. Cringing, she shook the wet droplets free from her face, pouting as she looked at the giggling sprite. "Oh is that how you want to play it now?" Grinning, she started to fly away again, dodging the balls of water that were thrown at her. She ended up darting around the taller buildings of the school, finally coming to rest on top of building number two.

Landing lightly on her feet, part of her hair was clinging to her face at this point, forming a small ball of water in her hands and throwing it back at the sprites. Even though they could simply absorb it, they still played like this anyways. She was still so much a child, and in other ways she was not in the least. They didn't end up stopping for a short while, and at that point she was damp mostly all over. She sat down on the roof, gathering the excess water from her body into a large ball hovering of her fingers. She formed it into a lotus blossom, holding it in the palms of her hands before she made it into ice. She added a small breeze in the center, looking at the replica of the gift she left for her friends back in that distant city. A faint smile touched her lips, looking up to the sky as she began to sing, the wind sprites deciding to allow it to carry a bit before all of them vanished. Even the water ones too. It was one of the few things she held from whatever her life was like before the orphanage. The facade she displayed to the world faded away and she was simply her calm self, watching as a few clouds danced across the sky.

Jareth watched the girl leave, despite his harsh words his curiosity growing by the second. She wasn't heading back to her room, so where was she heading? Looking over to Elly he grinned and bowed his head to her,
"If you do not require anything else of me...roomie..." he said, starting to walk away to follow Vira.

As he reached the door to the outside world he grimanced slightly, the sun was still rather high. He ran his hand through his hair quickly, and an ice helmet began to come into existance around his face, as if the water was freezing in the air around him. It was covered in frost to make it a stark white, and it was shaped like the head of a polar bear, Jareth's turquoise eyes shining through the slits and his own cruel mouth and chin sitting inside the sharp pointed teeth of what would have been a real bears jaw.
Striding outside he could not spot her straight away, and so instead walked over to Calcifer, his dappled grey horse. Whistling softly he rubbed the velvety dark nose of the animal before running his free hand through the long, untrimmed mane. It was only when he heard the song being sung that he remembered the girl. Still unable to see her he mounted Calcifer, setting off at a slow walk around the gardens trying to spot her. They got a few looks from annoyed pupils and staff as the large horse left small craters of hoofprints in the grass but the fae didn't seem to care. Finally, Jareth spotted the girl on a roof. Stopping his horse he patted the stallions flank in a gentle manner.
"And now we wait...wait and watch," he murmured gently, leaning up to speak into the horses ear. Despite his cruelty to others he seemed to be gentle and kind to the horse.

User Image"Koko wa attaka na, umi da yo..." Evian let the notes fade into silence, her legs dangling off the edge of the rooftop, kicking the air a little. Lowering her eyes, she sighed heavily, looking down at her legs. Just who am I... Shaking her head, she started to look up, something reflecting the sunlight up towards her. She gave him a smile and a wave, pushing herself up as she brought back up the bubbly facade once more. You will not play with me as if I were some toy. She then started walking along the edge, the wind catching her hair, her golden eyes turned up towards the sky.

Then she took a few steps back on the roof, suddenly breaking into a run and jumping off the edge. She heard some surprised gasps and screams from below, a small smirk rising to her lips as the wind caught her, carrying her up into the air. Sprites of both elements flew alongside her, giggling as they soared through the air. It was as if they were a group of close friends having their own little fun, making her laugh as some jostled for a hug from her which she gave without a moments hesitation. She was at home with them, and they made her happy. They were the closest thing to a family that she had besides Tristan.

After several moments, she finally landed lightly on the ground, closer towards the rose garden, taking a deep breath of the flowers. Gathering her hair up, she began to braid it, the turquoise strands flowing down her shoulder. She tied it with a band of water, fixing the lotus blossom she made at the band. Though she shrank it since otherwise it would be a bit awkward. For the moment she pretended that he wasn't around, wondering what he was going to do if and when he got to her. I can handle it. Then she began to move amongst the flowers, seemingly careful where she stepped, enjoying the feeling of the sun on her skin.

Elly just stood there, watching what happened. There were a couple of times that she wanted to intervene, but there was no chance and before she knew it, they had both left, Vira's goodbye was more energetic despite Jareth. Then Jareth left and Elly was just standing there, not sure what to do. She scratched her head in bewilderment and then did a face palm and shook her head, turning down the hall and walking, chuckling to herself. She didn't have any other new students to help, though she did help a few on the way down to the administrations office. She then went behind the secretaries desk and along a hallway that was to the leftside of the wall, the wall going from a plaster painted over wall to a stone wall that was part of the oldest part of the castle. This was where Master Atlas' office was. The door was already half open and Elly walked gently up to it and knocked on it. "Excuse me sir, I have papers for you" she told the figure who was cast in darkness with just one little candle burning. Elly did infact have papers, they were at her side the whole time in her pouce of a purse. She pulled them out, the paper making its crisp, thin noise while doing so.

User Image
The person at the desk hardles made any movements. When looking at it, the figure did not move at all, though there was a small silohette of a chair that flickered in and out of focus due to the slight draft from the door creaking open. The figure lightly flicked his hand up and opened it for Elly to come and hand him the papers. As Elly walked in there were other candles that suddenly flickered on, as though set off when someone walked past them. Elly handed him the papers and then stood off to the side of a large and long desk that seemed to have just been cleaned. The figure turned around in his large, red chair and a larger candle flicked on, revealing a rather gold flame, much different fromt he rest and definately brighter. The man was a lot younger looking than his actual age, in which no one, not even Elly, seemed to know. He looked about his late 30's but also seemed to have the body of a bummed out 25 year old. This always confused new students and teachers, but there was something about him that made people forget about that, perhaps his smile that he hardly ever cracked to anyone. "Hmm, this Jareth kid seems to be rather interesting, like royalty, doing what he wants... I see. And this Vira girl, very peculiar... I see you and her getting along more and more, Elly. Two opposites... I like it. They will be of good use.. yes, yes, indeed. Now Elly, I had a preminition that something is going to come to the school via the forest, but I am not certain to when that is. I felt the vibe through the preminiton in the forest at The Rock or Celestation, in which I need you to go and scout out the area, tell me what energy you feel, this is important. You may to people if you wish, but do not tell them. The last thing we need is for rumors to spread through the school. Though that would be rather interesting... I do like choas sometimes..." he told her in his manly voice that sounded rough, but in a way that was pleasing to talk to. He cracked a smile at the end and took out a cigarette, flicking his finger and having a flame light it. In a place like this a flame wouldn't sustain due to no air to curculate, but perhaps that was his power. There were many things that Master Atlas could do, so no one knew exactly what his powers entailed either. Infact, no one really seemed to know Master Atlas at all, as though he never existed at all and as though he was this big mystery.

User ImageLeaning against a tree in the second courtyard, she wasn't really worried about anything that may come to attack her, her eyes closed as she dozed lightly in the sun. Even though she was often caught enjoying the sunlight, she never seemed to get a tan. Yet her skin never seemed too pale either. It was a puzzlement to many of the students, which always made her chuckle.

However, her light nap was interrupted by a lovely voice that carried from the building where her technical classroom was. It brought a small smile to her lips as she opened one seemingly grey eye. She does have such a lovely voice.

"I keep telling her to do something with that voice of hers but she never listens." Tristan materialized next to his teacher, arms folded over his chest, leaning against the other side of the tree with a foot propped up against the trunk. "Forgive the intrusion Ms. Kobiyashi, you-"

"Can't help yourself. I remember Mr. Alvientyr. Have I ever mentioned how I do love the last names your people often have?" Tsuki's smile softened as she opened both eyes, turning her head slightly to look at her student. Both Tristan and Vira focused their studies upon the arts, hence why they were so familiar with her. Though, Tristan seemed to want to also delve more into something else but he hadn't told her yet. Which was perfectly fine since it was always good to maintain some kind of distance between student and teacher.User Image

At that Tristan smirked, the light seemingly to glint around his eyes, the glow fading from them. "Only every time you say it Ms. Kobiyashi. And every time I thank you for it. If only my people weren't so looked down upon."

Pushing herself up, her kimono rested around her shoulders, though it wasn't like she cared too much. It never slipped further down or open unless she wanted it to. "Now now, your people were very helpful in Japan at one point in time. Not to mention the US, China, France, England, Russia.... Do I need to continue listing names? Just because there are those who don't appreciate your abilities does not mean that all feel that way." She pointed out to him, though she knew his scars ran deep with this particular topic.

Sighing lightly, he straightened up as well, turning towards the school to look at some of the students that were running around. He noticed Vira flying, then landing by the rose garden, his gaze softening from the usual distance they held. Hopefully she would do even better this term, she always had such difficulty with people. "No, you need not list anymore. I know, it just seems like humans put such a negative spin on what they think are ghosts or some such. Ah well, they are ignorant and most seem to enjoy such ignorance. They have that quaint phrase, 'Ignorance is bliss.' Enough about such matters though. Aren't the teachers having some sort of new school year party or something tonight?"

She chuckled lightly, not commenting further since there would be no point. Raising an eyebrow, she shook her head, cuffing his lightly. "Tristan darling, you really need to stop spying upon such things. You'll end up in trouble again. Yes, if my memory serves there will be such a thing for the faculty. I'm not sure if we're doing something for the students or not, it all depends." A slight breeze from Vira passing along them both, ruffling her long hair slightly as she turned to look at him. "Now, you should probably be helping some of the students right?"

Shrugging, he smirked with a chuckle, taking a few steps away as he gave her a lazy salute with two fingers. "I guess so. See you later Ms. Kobiyashi. Don't get too plastered at the party." He began to whistle a tune, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he headed to one of the buses that were pulling up in the distance. He rose up into the air and hovered/flew over, remaining still in corporeal form. It was a new trick he was working on, and so far he was doing fine with it. He gave a wave to a group of students, greeting them and explaining things as he began to lead them towards the main building where they would receive everything.

((Just so you guys know i'm away for about 2 weeks now, however I shall be returning lol xD As such, I'll get Jareth out of your hair...then shall tangle him back in again at a later date lol xD ))

The fae quite suddenly snapped to attention, sitting upright upon his horse. If someone dared to get close to the aggressive looking horse and it's rider they would notice the clenched, tight look of the faeries jaw which contrasted to the semi-lidded, sleepy look to his eyes. Silent as an iceberg the two began to walk away from the others, and eventually Jareth continued alone to the corridor outside of his room. Dropping to one knee he picked up one of the larger peices of ice he had dropped. Cupping it in his pale hands as if afraid to hurt it he muttered,
"My Queen," bowing his head in respect. In the reflection of the ice was not Jareth as one might have expected, but a young woman, with sharp features and grey, storm could eyes...

(( Aww, alright. Hahaha, oh my. xD ))

User ImageHumming lightly as she checked the flowers, she gave some of them some water since they seemed to be asking for it. Vira did look up to check to see if the fae was going to come bother her, but what she saw was rather unexpected. He was riding away towards the dorms, which allowed her to exhale in relief. She didn't quite like what he did to her psyche, not when she was just starting to get a little more normalized around people.

Turning her gaze away from the distracted Jareth, she noticed Tristan float by and towards the new bus of students, a small smile rising to her lips. He seemed so distant and intimidating in that way at first, but then he was such a jester once you got to know him. Or rather prankster. He enjoyed having fun to be sure, and his kindness sometimes came unexpectedly. The sprites left her alone for the moment, having to turn their attentions elsewhere. Brushing her bangs from her eyes, she left the rose garden once she was content with the flowers amount of water. On the outside it almost seemed strange for her to be there since it seemed like she held such a strong grasp on her abilities, but in truth it was when she felt a strong emotion that made it difficult for her to keep control.

Her golden eyes surveyed those that were still running about, walking over to a sakura tree and taking a seat in it's strong branches. Some teachers yelled at her for doing so, others just let her be. So far she seemed fine, the colors of her clothes contrasting and yet complimenting the soft pink of the blossoms. She did love to sit up here and relax, it was somehow comforting for her to be around nature in such a way. She could sense the water that flowed through the tree's, the 'air' it breathed out and took it, the tree's very life in that way.
