Ahh, what was the name of that fake? The Solar Soothsayer, right? Dayum, I was so sad to find out it wasn't true. But now we have a REAL third game in the works, so I'm not complaining.

Just a question, does anyone know if "Golden Sun DS" is just a working title or the actual, confirmed title? I REALLY hope it's just a working title. As is, it lacks pizazz.

Nah, it was the Japanese fake. I can't read Japanese, so I can't tell you what the subtitle is. sweatdrop The Solar Soothsayer was the obvious one, with the title screen that was just reworked TLA art.

GS: DS is just the working title. They'd never release it like that.
I'm hoping that it's a working title... Camelot can't be that void of creativity...
I guess we've just gotta cross our fingers. I mean, I'm sure it'll be a respectable title. I just also wouldn't put it past Nintendo to do something stupid and leave the "DS" on there. I've lost a lot of faith in Nintendo's... seriousness. And while I'm sure Camelot would protest, I just don't trust Nintendo anymore.

On a side note, just so no one's confused: I'm Mister Nakey Person. xd I've decided to use this account as my main.

Your optimism amuses me. c: Pokemon Black/White anyone?

On a serious note, I don't think so. The placeholder name's kinda lame, and a prettier title will reel in more moneygolds.

Watch it be Golden Sun: The New Age.

I haven't trusted Nintendo for awhile till the release of SSBB for the Wii, but everything involving mario they've been working on for a long time started to irritated me after awhile.

Pokemon Black/White is uncreative, as a title, but in a way it's also sort of creative because they've always done something coloured or a colour in the past, but black and white are not actually colours. They're just tones. It's also sort of goes back to first gen in a way because they actually used colours as opposed to things that are coloured as titles (although, technically gold and silver could be considered colours, and 3rd gen as well, in a sort of not complete way).

As for GSDS, I also hope they aren't just going to call it that. That is completely and utterly devoid of any creativity whatsoever. That said, I doubt they'll keep that as the name.

That said, I apologize for the lengthy rant on Black/White. sweatdrop

It'll be in an issue that's covering E3.

Even so, by the time NP mentions it, everyone will already know.

I gave up on Nintendo Power and other print media for my gaming news a long time ago. I got tired of getting my copy and finding nothing but useless, old news inside. It's not worth paying for unless you like the articles about community and things like that.

I think we're more likely to get info sooner by scouring sites that cover E3 as it's occurring. I plan on having a few gaming news sites open while the event is going and I'm sure I'm not the only one, so if anything is mentioned about GS biggrin S, we'll know in the guild almost immediately.

I just rely on the community to learn about these things, personally. ;P Stuff like this spreads like wildfire, and I kinda like hearing from my friends.

What's so nice about magazines though, is that if there's a kewl looking poster inside... YOU GET TO KEEP IT. biggrin It'll be a lasting memory. Unlike a printed cover on normal printing paper. Of course, you can get special paper, but meh.

i spoke to a guy at gamestop a while ago who says the release date for GS biggrin S is in november. i don't know the exact date, but its such a long time from now.
as for the new pokemon names, i am quite dissappointed. i know there are hacks called amethyst, opal, and coral but can't nintendo just use those. i know this off-topic but go look at the hack for Pokemon Amethyst. it is most bad-a**.

Hey, Black/White are fitting names. :< I think the whole gem/precious material thing was getting old anyway, so it's a nice change of pace... And a lot easier to remember to spell than Amethyst. sweatdrop Also, that question mark button on your keyboard is there for a reason.

I don't think November is too far away, but I also don't have a terribly good grasp of time. 3nodding

I like Black/White too. It's like bringing things back to their roots since the games started with colors for the names.

On topic though, I remember reading somewhere, that Golden Sun is still planned to be released this year. So November seems like a pretty good assumption. Oh yeah, I saw it on the site ZeldaInformer. There was a list of games to be released this year and Golden Sun was on it.

Frick, frick, frick. Sorry to deviate from the topic with useless babbling, but I just had to share. sweatdrop

I had a dream about obtaining a Nintendo Power issue...I don't know what month it was, though. But it had a huge section about Golden Sun DS.

The biggest thing I remember from that dream...is that there isn't exactly a 4th new party member...but a 4th and 5th. Because they're twins...and they seemed ninja-like, or I could just be thrown off by their clothing. Strange thing is...they also had spiky blonde hair (>.<;; ), but one's eyes were blue while the other's was an orangey red. But they are separate party units. This probably goes without saying, but you still use 4 at a time to battle. It was shown that there are slots for a remaining 3 characters, but to keep the mystery, they were blocked over by red ovals with ?s on them. xp

Another is that the release of Alchemy into the world justified that the classes that we used to need Djinn setups for (Pilgrim, Page, Seer, etc.) are now default classes. The succeeding classes are achieved by leveling up. Isaac's descendant is still a Squire to begin with, but the girl is a Seer (Mercury) and the other guy is a new class that utilizes Mars and Jupiter Psynergy. Not the Page line, as his class had more of the lightning-based Psynergy rather than the ones Pages usually have.

Djinn are still needed for summoning, though, and they still do change classes...but at some point, there will be an equippable item that nullifies class changes, but you keep the stat bonuses the Djinn give and all. It also seemed that some summons "upgraded". For example, it appears that Coatlicue has a different look, portrayed like a goddess in very loose, flowing light blue robes with red ribbons flickering about. And she wears a white mitre atop her head (er...think "pope hat", if you don't know what a mitre is xd ). Of course, it's not just looks that upgraded, but also effects...apparently, Coatlicue has better healing and she can also heal party members in the reserves, but she has no reviving power and the "healing-per-turn" effect doesn't apply to them.

Places, places...crap. I don't remember anything I've read about places by now, just pictures. sweatdrop Over the course of time, some new small villages have sprung up, while some old ones have flourished and expanded...for example, there was a bigger, more city-like Vale pictured. And of course, the places we've seen in the demos are still there.

For as big a section as it was, it strangely didn't hint to any plot or even any mention of Alex. O_o

Again, keep in mind this was all some bizarre DREAM of mine! sweatdrop It was just more convenient to describe it in present tense. sweatdrop

Now...to figure out ways to make dreams recur, if that's possible at all... ;;>.>
