"Alright Shade, get ready. This one looks entusiastic." Haunter laughed and nodded, bobing his head over his hands. He floated in front of Panther, a hand streached out "Haunter!" he said with an air of confidence. He knew he was going to win this match, he had a fair amont of expreiance. He grined down at the Pichu puffing up and floating about Panther's chest hight, 4 1/2 feet above the ground.

"Ok Skye, get ready!" Cal was bubbling with excitement. She hoped that her first battle with Skye would go well, but the opponents did have the advantage of experience over her. She called forth her most commanding voice, "Skye use-" but before she could finish, he was starting with a Thundershock, making his blue cheeks spark tremendously aiming stright for Shade.

The thunder shock hit dead on, injuring Shade a bit. He shook his head a moment, startled by the fact it hurt.
Panther frowned a bit, the pichu was defently not taking comands, this training match was proabley just what they needed. He remembered Swiftwing how long it took them to get it together.
"Shade, lick."
Shade smiled ,floated, down and stuck his tounge out, licking the Pichu, with bit of affection behind it.

The lick was a direct hit. Skye was knocked back, already panting with fatigue.
Cal sighed at the Pichu. He wasn't listening, and that wasn't good for a battle. She tried once more to instruct the little Pichu.
"Skye, use Thundershock!"
But again he defied her and used Charm, trying with all his might.

"Little Pichu you really should listen to your trainer." Panther said to Skye. This battle was less fun and now starting the Pichu was starting to get on his nerves a little. The charm had no effect on him.
Huanter though was charmed by the little guy's attempt to win him over. However when his trainer comanded him, "Confuse Ray." He was ready. After all, the attack could not hope to hurt the young opponate. Opening his mouth a beam of confusion was sent directly at the Pichu.

Confuse Ray hit with a subtle blow. Skye had looked to be ok, but a moment later he was swaying and off balance. He couldn't quiet focus on his opponent.
This battle had been turning into a nightmare. Skye wasn't listening to any of Cal's commands and she was beginning to get fustrated with him. She knew that Charm would have no effect on a ghost type, but Skye seemed to have other plans.
"Thundershock!" she commanded at the obviously confused Pichu.
Skye stumbled, set his cheeks to spark, but it backfired and he shocked himself. He staggered and fell over, that match had been an utter failure for Cal and Skye.

Panther watched as the little guy zapped himself, making sure to keep the smile off his face for Cal's sake. He didn't want to hurt her feelings. "Shade I belive the match is over."
Haunter frowned and floated down and poked at the still sparking Pichu. "Haunter?"
Panther walked around the two to Cal. "At least he tried to listen in the end."

"Return!" Cal called the fainted Pichu back. She stared at the pokeball, a bit disappointed in him. She laughed at her defeat, "He probably thought it was his only way of winning." She walked up to Panther and patted him on the back, "That was a great battle." She turned her attention to Shade, "You did a very good job out there." She began to rummage through her pockets for a revive so that Skye could get a thorough talking to.

"Haunter haunt!" Haunter said quiet pleased with himself. He floated mid air bobing, next to her.
"Good point. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon. I had trouble when I first started otu with swift wing back when he was a pidgey. Actually, come to think of it, I still have trouble with him."

Cal laughed quietly to herself. She couldn't imagine Panther having trouble with any of his pokemon. She soon found the revive and used it on Skye. "Come on out Skye." She tossed the ball gentle and the little Pichu fell out on his face.
"Pi..." He rubbed his cheeks and looked up at Panther, Haunter, and then Cal. His eyes teared up a little, but he turned his head to fiddle with the broken cell phone.

"Oh don't laugh. you haven't met Swiftwing yet. and he's not keen on being up in the night. So I'm not taking him out. He's a theift, which is good, but he theives from me too." he ran his thumb along the pokeball that held the Pidgeot.
haunter floated down to the pichu, trying to comfert him. "Haaaunt."

"Hm... Remind me to stay away from Swiftwing." She giggled as watched Panther handle the pokeball. She turned her attention to the two pokemon at her feet. "Hey Skye, are you going to behave and listen?" She bent down and pulled at pulled at his ear slightly.
Skye shooed Cal's hand away. "Pichu..." He held the cell phone wires up to his cheeks and sent a wave of electricity through the phone. "Pi! Pi!" The screen lit up momentarily and he showed it off to Shade. He appeared to be in a happier mood.

"It's good that after the fight they are still friends." Panther watched as haunter claped amused at Pichu's trick. Haunter smiled and held out a hand to see the cell phone.
Panther streached reaching up his long body into the air, hands above his head and cracking a few key points in his neck and back. "So..."

"Underneath it all, he's still pretty nice." She watched them play around with the broken cell phone. Skye handed to Shade and watched him eagerly. "You've been here, longer than me," She looked up at Panther,"Anything interesting around here? Anything, beats nothing." She laughed as she dug her boots in the sand. "Especially in the desert."

"Here? Not a whole lot. There's sand, sand and more sand. But it you go that away about 20 miles." he getsures to the North. "You run into beach. Traing exercizes and stealing is the best of it. Although I hear about one a week the guys get together with their normal types and battle it out in the dining hall. I try to steer clear of that. I loose enough moeny on my stomic." He pats his stomic.
Haunter picks up the cell and the light fades out. "Haunt?" he shakes it trying to get it to turn on againa nd then gives up, passing it back.
