Biting his lip in a bashful smile, he waited to see if Elbi would take the first bite. He sat like that a moment before perking his ears when he realized his date was waiting for him to do so as well. Releasing the half-strangled napkin, he brought his hands back up and picked up a forkful of his meal. Glancing up to make sure Elbi actually was excited about the meal, he tucked in and chewed slowly. Smiling at the delicious taste, he gave an encouraging thumbs up.

Taking her cue, Elbaima took a dainty bite of her fish and chewed thoughtfully for a moment or so before smiling. "This is amazing!" she said, taking some of the salad too.

Easing into the meal, he started thinking about the next time he could take her out. This had been a mere run-in. Next time, he would make a plan. A whole evening for just them. She might like that...
Before he knew it, his plate was empty and he sipped at his drink. "Well, we can either get dessert now, or just be on our way." He offered, letting Elbi make the choice. After all, she had said that she didn't eat out often.

Elbi's little deer tail flicked in happiness. "Mmm, it was all so delicious... but I should probably be getting back home soon..." She sighed, not really wanting the wonderful evening to come to an end, but knowing that sooner or later it would have to.

Nodding in understanding, he gestured to the server for their check. "I'm really glad you liked it." He purred softly, dropping the appropriate payment. Then he stood, walking around and extending his hand to help Elbi up. "I'll have to make sure it isn't so long until we can come out again." Smiling, he was greatly looking forward to a nice walk escorting Elbi home.
