[Chiyo :: Outside Human Village]
Chiyo felt like she was going to cry... this world was so mean. The wolf youkai sniffled a little and then proceeded to wipe her eyes with the sleeve of her kimono. Her ears twitched fearfully and Chiyo fidgeted where she stood. Never in her life would she think that she'd get scolded by a shrine maiden of all people.
"Well... you see... the snow on my mountain home is gradually receding and so we have to keep moving farther up the peak but it makes it harder for us to hunt. And we don't know why such a thing is happening so I was sent down to fix the problem. But the thing is... I don't know how to fix the snow. Do you think you can pray to the snow Kami for me? I mean...I'm not sure where I'm going... everything is so green and things are so smelly and I'm kind of hungry. Usually humans would come give offerings to us on the mountains but the offerings have become less and less. I caught some four legged creature to eat earlier but it was extremely slimy and squishy as if it had been living in pond water all its life... and it liked to hop ALL over the place... plus it doesn't bode well with my tummy." Chiyo ranted, answering Reimu's question and then slowly transitioning into a long-winded explanation that had nothing to do with the current conversation at all. She wrinkled her nose instinctively and stuck her tongue out, as if to clear her taste buds of her lunch.

Reimu frowned. Something in Chiyo's story didn't seem right. "The snow's receding? Youkai Mountain is the same as ever. Well, it is the middle of spring, but I'm sure that in the winter it - wait," suddenly Reimu realized that Chiyo's story didn't make sense at all. Humans in Gensokyo don't often go to the mountains, especially to give offerings to beasts. She must be talking about another mountain, which would mean . . .
"Did you stumble in from the outside world? Where are you from, exactly? Here, come with me, I'll take you back to the Shrine. We have food there."

Sukina stared at Kyouko for a moment, before saying "Wow, I haven't seen denial that strong before, but okay."
Sukina looked back at the shrine, her ivy scratching the side of her head. Ooo, good that itch was gone now. "Well, if you want to start someone, perhaps one of the youkai have seen...er, other youkai. Not me. I haven't seen her." The ivy youkai, still smiling, pointed off in a random direction. "But you should probably find someone that way. Probably. Possibly. Maybe. Have fun looking."
Sukina then proceeded to continue her wait for the shrine maiden. Or anyone to come by. Someone was bound to, and maybe they could say when Reimu would come back.

 [Sakuya || Human Village -> Hakurei Shrine]
The maid of Scarlet Devil Mansion wandered through the streets of the village, one hand loosely at her side while the other held a bag of all the things required to make Remilia-Sama's dinner that night. She mentally checked off the items on her shopping list, realizing that there wasn't anything else left to buy.
As usual, Sakuya kept mainly to herself absentmindedly admiring the butterflies that fluttered through and the effects of spring on nature. Ah, butterflies flying about without a care in the world. In her wandering, she realized that she had exited the village and was now passing by the shrine which had two unusual looking characters standing out. Fearful for the fish in her bag, Sakuya swerved a little to the left... trying to look as inconspicuous as possible to the two youkai.

Kyouko Blinked again. "Denail?" She was confused, she was being perfectly honest after all! Then Sukina suggested to go in that direction, which Kyouko followed the pointing finger out into the distance, noting it was in the rough direction of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. "The Vampire's place? ...That's an excellent idea, the vampire needs to feed on blood, so she might know where humans are! Let's go!" And with that, she grabbed SUkina wrist and pulled her along towards the stairs, nearly bumping headfirst (or Horn-first) into Sakuya. "WOAH. Hello Sakuya! All the humans have disappeared, and we were just heading to your place to see if Remilia knew what was up! Can you take us there?!"

"What do you me let's--" Oh, apparently, Kyouko wanted Sukina to go along with her. To the Scarlet Devil Mansion that she, by coincedence, pointed to. Drat...this wasn't waiting for Reimu or gardening..
Of course, with the appearance of Sakuya, she tried to get her wrist free from Kyouko's grip...and made no progress. Double drat. Of course, then something dawned on her.
"Hey, Kyouko. Isn't this person here a human? Wouldn't she know what was going on or...something?"

"Huh? Sakuya? SHE DOESN'T COUNT." Kyouko stated loudly. "But you're right, she might now something. Sakuya!" She turned back to the Maid. "DO you know why all the humans have gone missing? Were they kidnapped?! Do we get to solve an INCIDENT?!!"

Sakuya mentally groaned, what luck of hers to run into a couple of blundering idiots. Massaging her temple, Sakuya strode straight past the two youkai... wondering that maybe, if she just kept walking... they would somehow disappear.
"Remilia-Sama cannot be bothered by your presence. She has much more important things to do." Sakuya responded curtly, side glancing at the two girls. The maid smirked a little when Kyouko mentioned her not counting as a human. She stopped walking and turned slightly, eying Kyouko. "I don't know anything about this human disappearing business. Don't be ridiculous Kyouko, no one in their right mind would go and kidnap all the humans..."

Chiyo's ears perked up at the sound of food. Her tummy was gurgling and now she couldn't concentrate on the question. She walked up beside Reimu, her tail flicking slightly side to side. She seemed like a nice person, shrine maidens were usually nice people from what she heard of them.
"Uhmm.. Mt. Hokkaido! The snow is so pretty there! Very fluffy!"

Frankly, Sukina really didn't give a damn about the maid, especially if she didn't count. So, with Kyouko distracted by the maid, Sukina set to work.
First, the simple tug. No luck.
Next, a more forceful pull. Nothing.
A giant pull with all her body weight pulling away. Nada.
Puffing out her cheeks and blowing her breath out, she decided drastic measures needed to be taken. So, carefully, she placed one foot on Kyouko's back, then pushed off. Still, she was held by her wrist. Drat.
Placing both feet on Kyouko's back, she tugged and pushed and tugged some more. And still came up with nothing but a sore arm and butt(especially after falling to the ground after losing her footing).
Panting for breath, she gave up. No way was she getting out of this 'human's' grip. So, she lay on the ground, tired, exhausted by her efforts, her arm still in the air, as Kyouko held the wrist.

Reimu continued to treat Chiyo with indifference. Inwardly, however, she appreciated the company. Already, she'd almost forgotten about the lecture she'd suffered earlier, and explaining Gensokyo to a newcomer would be a decent enough diversion. Come to think of it, she hadn't eaten anything at the main house, herself. Yeah, some food was definitely in order.
"Well," Reimu began, "now you're in Gensokyo. It's kinda . . . a sealed away land of magical beings. There are some humans here to, like me, but mostly you'll find youkai here. You'll probably like it here, once you get used to how we do things. Most youkai do." Reimu glanced at Chiyo's animal features. "Here, follow me. I'll explain more on the way. Do you know Spell Card rules, incidentally?" Reimu began heading away from the human village, towards the Hakurei Shrine, floating a little above the ground. She had long ago abandoned the habit of walking places. Flying is just so much easier.
The road to the Shrine was long and winding, but had a rugged beauty to it. There weren't many trees here, but many, many fields of multicolored flowers.

Kyouko was shocked. "Huh? Like what? And when I woke up, Marisa was gone! So I came to check if she was visiting Reimu, and Reimu is apparently missing too! So I must be the only human left now! We've got to save them!"
She turned to look at Sukina, who was now on the ground. "Huh? Why are you so tired? We have to go find out who's responsilble!" She exclaimed this and started dragging her towards the stairs again.

The ivy youkai was tired from the futile efforts, so when she saw where Kyouko was heading, she, for once, finally frowned.
Stairs...and she was being dragged along the ground.
Oh dear sweet Celestials, what have I gotten myself dragged into? ...Literally.

"Gen...soh... kyooo..." Chiyo pronounced the name slowly, hearing it roll of her tongue quite nicely. It was a pretty sounding place, though a little lacking in the frigid snow department. It all seemed like so much to take in on an empty stomach. Hardly any humans? Land sealed off by magical beings? Chiyo's ear twitched a little as she tilted her head to the side. How do they do things? Do youkai eat people here? They should know it's very upsetting on the stomach...
"Spell cards... like special powers on pieces of paper?"

The maid shook her head, as if already exasperated by Kyouko's antics. Sakuya crossed her arms, careful not to jostle the fish too much and stared at Kyouko. It was no wonder that Marisa would make a run for it while Kyouko was asleep. SHe was surprised the witch stared with her for as long as she did.
"You're dense Kyouko. Maybe Marisa was tired of babysitting you" Sakuya replied, as she looked to Sukina who really did seem like she was in a pitiable position... having to be dragged about by Kyouko of all people. "I'm sure Reimu will be back soon, so go bug her and leave Remilia-Sama alone."
