Ahri's ears flicked as she talked, so society cast her out as well?
"Do you..." he didn't know how to ask her without sounding just awfully rude... "Do you have a problem to?" his head tilted and he ducked a little, his ears flattening to show that he really didn't mean that to sound as awful as it did.
She had been a kind mare for the short time he had spoken with her, he didn't understand why others would see different.

"Perhaps it's a bit of a problem to them. Socially unaccetpable." She said, looking back at him, not caring how rude it sounded or not. Especially when she seemed to have the ability to snap back at him when he lashed out at her.
"What soquili in their right mind would more or less sell their own soul in the practice of voodoo?" She asked, smirking at him. "No on trusts me not to set some sort of curse on them. I can do more than that, you know..."

His head shot up at the mention of voodoo. He had heard stories of soquili with great powers in that area of magic. If she was a mare that practiced voodoo, then certainly she would have some type of magic potion that could cure him! Alas, he knew very little about the actual art of voodoo or how it worked.
"VooDoo,"...he looked over to her taking a few steps towards her, "can you...can you fix me?" his voice almost pleaded.
"You're a witch! A damn disgrace to the species. Stupid little charms and chants, do you really think you do a damn thing? It's all nonsense, Fool. You're wasting your time on such things." he snapped again, ears pinned to his head. "There's no place for you here, go on. Get out of here!"

"There's no place for you here either!" She scowled back out of instinct. After realizing what just happened, her ears fell back in shame. "Sorry. I can't help it...I can't stand being insulted." She muttered, turning to walk away from him.
"I don't know if I can help or not. The most I can do is try...but I doubt anything can fix such a split in your personality." She said, barely glancing back at him.

His ears flickered than flattened, he must have done it again. "I...I'm sorry." he offered to her, a sincere apology. "Can we, can we at least try?" he inquired. He'd try almost anything to be able to have some sort of 'normal' relationship with anyone. He got tired of being alone.
He watched as she turned away, he was unsure if he should follow or not, but he took a few steps anyway. "Please...Please help me."

She quickly turned to face him again, doing anything to keep from snapping in frustration. "I said we'll try!" Well that was a failure...
Guedes sighed and laid her ears back again. "I-I'm sorry. Forgive me." She muttered and motioned him to follow her. "I suppose...I can trust you enough to not reveal the location of my home." Guedes continued on the originally path into the overgrowth, stopping briefly to gather the bundle she hid in the bushes before continuing on to a large bundle of rotting logs. Each were leaning on or tied together in some fashion to form a rather crude structure. Various charms, feathers, skulls, fur, cloth and beads decorated the outside of it while still more piled up inside.

His ears remained flattened at her tone with him, perhaps he should just stay silent from now on...if he could. He followed her through the marsh to her home. She had all sorts of charms and trinkets about, he was curious of what they did, what they stood for..but he kept quiet waiting on instructions from the mare.

She carefully a moved a log away from the entrance and disappeared inside. After a moment she looked back out at him, raising an eyebrow. "Are you coming? Or are you just going to stand out there all day and admire my rotting home?" She asked, smirking slightly before going back inside.

He watched as her head popped back out of the home, and her words sounded like they were in gest. He smiled and carefully made his way inside, not wanting to disturb anything. "Did you build this?" he inquired? He had never seen a soquili with a home like this. Himself, he just lay in the bushes or in caves if they were empty, this intrigued him.

Guedes began browsing her various piles of items, moving things around and adding objects and herbs every so often. "Most of these logs were like this when I found it. I can only assume a two-legger started this and either never finished or called it good before leaving. I've only added to it and pushed a few more logs into the mess for extra protection." She stated, picking up a string of bones and rocks and throwing it around his neck.

He had heard his father mention two leggers in stories, but he didn't know much about them either. He continued to look around and looked down at the necklace she had tossed around his neck. "What's that?" he cocked his head to one side trying to see it better. "How long have you practiced?" he asked out of curiousity.

"Don't remove it." She muttered, digging around again for various other things. "It's one of the few objects I'll need to help you if you want it. ...and if we can do anything." She stated, piling up a few herbs and pouring some sort of oil over them carefully.
"Nearly my whole life. I screwed up, started young and can't get out of it. It's like a binding contract." She finished, smirking up at him again in an almost demonic way due to a mix of her face paint and the lighting.

He nodded in understandment. He'd leave the necklace be as long as she wanted him to, especially if it seemed to help. He watched her as she carefully mixed ingredients, the scents filling his nose.
"Contract?" he wondered if one could really sell their soul for such things, "You've been alone your whole life as well?"

She nodded once more, looking back around for something. "Entire life. Don't know where or if I still have living family. No children. No mate. Nothing. Even then I'd be afraid of...'them' taking any family away from her." She muttered, grabbing a bag and moving around to dump around him on the ground. She quickly followed with some berries, painting several symbols and writings on the ground around him as well.

The more she worked the more distant she seemed, but he figured it was her trying to concentrate on her work. He listened as she spoke and was sure to stay very still for her.
Ahri was thankful to know that his parents and siblings were still alive, even if he had no contact with them now, he couldn't imagine not knowing. He continued to watch as she worked. In the dim light he could pick up on several of her features, she was much too pretty of a mare to not have ever found a mate, but it sounded more like she was scared than having not tried. "Them?" he questioned.
