"Well Ignacio's mother, who really isn't that bad I assure you, and my papa are good friends. And so 'Nacio and I grew up together, we may as well be siblings." She smiled at him, both hands holding her binder close.
"Of course momma, the loving and insufferable woman that she is, thinks that I should be dating Ignacio because he's a good boy and will do right by me. Never mind that she thinks I should be dating now to be prepared for the future, which means she really wants me to date in hopes I'll find the man who I'll marry later on in life now."
She loved her mother, really, but she wasn't ready to think much of dating or marriage now despite the fact she knew she had some sort of feelings for Azzo. But that was something she was going to keep to herself and only to herself.
"But no, aside from immediate family and Ignacio, that's about the only family I have. I don't even really have people I can call friends, to be honest." Unless one counted Ignacio, but that should have been a given. "Though I'm trying to make some. It's... just not that easy I'm finding."

Azzo nodded listening to her as the waitress set their things on a tray and nudged it towards them. Azzo picked up the tray, "Where would you like to sit?"
He sighed, "Yeah. Making friends isn't always the funnest thing in the world. Sometimes you have to pull teeth to get anywhere." He chuckled at his own lame joke. "Though normally, thanks to my grandmother, I can start conversations with food." He'd started a few like that.
"That is if I wanted to actually talk to someone to have something to do." He shrugged, "I'm sure you'll find some people at Crystal. Though form what I heard most of them are...." He paused thinking of how Marlo put it. "Lets see I think Marlo said, it was witch bitches." He shrugged, "Though I'm sure they're not that bad. Considering he was Hillworth."

Melody found a nice little table in the back by a window, sitting down and smiling up at the boy who was following her. Though hearing what some one else thought of the girls at Crystal Academy, Hillworth or no, she had to laughed. "That about sums up what I've heard about a lot of the girls there. I don't really think it's a school for me, but it's what momma wants so I won't complain."
She just wasn't sure how well she'd fit in... and hoped that her dorm mate would be some one she wouldn't have to spend a lot of time ignoring. "Most of the conversations I've started, with the except of you and Yvette, have been over music it seems... I wish I could use food as a conversation starter, every one likes some sort of food~"

Azzo chuckled, "Yeah? I think I met at least one person attending crystal. She was very... schedule oriented. She did seem nice though"
He tilted his head, "Eh you'll find a good thing to start conversations with. Sometimes music is something. Then you know you have something in common with someone." He paused and chuckled, "Yeah you just trip into me to start a converstation." He grinned teasing.
"Oh I met Yvette too, she's in my lunch." He set the food down and paused, "Aw she forgot the silverware." He sighed, "I'll be right back, lemme fetch some before the cake gets soggy." He hoped back over to the counter. "Excuse me ma'am. You forgot the silverware." The waitress blushed as she hurried to get the silverware.

"Yvette is quite the sweetheart," she replied with a smile. "I vaguely remember her going to Barren Pines, honestly... We went and visited the graves of the lost together."
Of course that was all she really managed out before he moved to go and get the forgotten utensils needed for their desert. Which was good because it meant he missed the flush that cropped up when he mentioned her tripping into him. The biggest reason for the blush, though, was because she did actually like being close to him... Hm, maybe she should trip into him again? No, that was too desperate a move, even she could see that.
Binder discarded for the moment, she lifted her cup to take a drink from her cocoa, brown eyes watching the dark haired teen from her seat.

"Yeah She's kinda quite." He said before he got out of hearing range. He didn't want to hear people talk about how much they remembered of Barren Pines.
He barely remembered anything. A few faces... How he got the broken ribs were bothering him. He couldn't even explain them without sounding like a wuss.
He was leaning on the counter when the lady returned with two sets of silverware. "Thank you." He said and turned on his heel as he headed back over to Melody. "Here you go."
He sat across from her staring outside as he took up the cup of cocoa.

She took the utensils with a smile, thanking him before she moved to take a bite of the cake. Not sure what to expect, she let out a small coo of delight at how good it tasted. It may end up not what he remembered, but to Melody this was one of the tastiest things she'd ever had!
"You should try the cake, Azzo~" she smiled after she had swallowed the bite. "It's really quite good."

Azzo stopped, "Huh... Oh right." He was lost in thought about Barren Pines again. He shook his head before picking up the fork and started eating his cake.
"Huh... frozen brownies. Figures." He shrugged and ate it anyways, "Still though it is good." He sighed softly as he wrinkled his nose, "Sorry." He said quickly giving a smile.
"So... seen any good movies lately?" He said trying to pull the good mood back to at least salvage enough to eat the cake and enjoy the cocoa. "Grams was talking about she hadn't seen a movie in so long. I was thinking about taking her to one."

Melody only smiled and shook her head, brownies or not it was really good. She was going to have to get Ignacio to get her some sweet things to try, as long as he didn't make fun of her and say she was going to get fat. Subconsciously she made a face at that thought, knowing her "brother" was very like to poke fun at her for wanting sweet foods.
She looked up at his question, pausing her eating of the cake to take another drink of her cocoa. "Movies?" A blush crossed her face and she shook her head. "No, sorry... If I'm not reviewing lessons at home to prepare for school then I'm working on my music." In short? She still didn't get out much.

He nodded, "I see." He said softly with a shrug. "No matter, I'm sure the movie theater attendants can suggest a good one."
He pondered as he took another bite of cake. "You should get out more though." He said softly, "I'm not saying don't work on the school work." His eyes traveled to the sky.
"You get a second chance..." He paused eyes shooting over to her, "We all get a second chance, you should make the best of it. Maybe next time you talk to Yvette see if she wants to go see a movie or something."
He paused, "Not saying you shouldn't go for your dreams." He added in, "Whatever those were..." He said with a sigh. Depressing matters when you couldn't remember things you think you should.

"I know I should," she replied with little change in her voice. "And believe me I want to. I want to be more then a girl who does nothing but play her cello and write music..."
"The problem is I don't know what my dreams are any more. It's like my life before what ever happened at Barren Pines was something I only went through, few things seem so real but I know it was a life I lived." Brown eyes turned to the window, watching the people pass by them with no thought to any one but themselves. And for a moment she seemed distant, lost some where between thought and reality.
"I once thought I wanted to be a famous cellist and now I'm not so sure. I can't even understand why I was given this second chance when I sure some one else from that incident deserved it more then I. But I don't want to let this second chance go to waste... I just don't know how to go about doing things so different then before."

Azzo leaned back in his seat. Watching the people walk by. "Well do it, and have a little fun too."
He sighed, "Apparently, we survived for a reason Mel. Until we found out that reason we're just like them." His eyes moved around the room. "Save for what we know... and what we don't know."
He frowned and took another bite of his cake washing it down with Cocoa. "I think we just have to play it by ear until things just land in our lap." He finished off the last bit of his cake. "I hate sounding like I just threw faith into the lap of whatever is out there. But I think that's what it is now."
He sighed, "It's not like we can just help the 'terrorist'."

"Maybe we can find some one who knows? Some body has to remember and maybe they could help us remember too."
The question was more of if there was any one remember then a how they would even think to begin. If only they had powers like the Senshi did, maybe then they could help. But until then all they were were students who had been through something horrific and survived.
With little thought to what she was doing, a tan hand moved to gently grab and squeeze one of Azzo's paler ones as a smile formed. "But you're right, we're alive for a reason and I think that one day we'll know why. Just promise me one thing?"

He shook his head, "If they did, I doubt they'd want to talk about it. There's a reason we can't remember. There's a reason I have broken ribs." He said softly, face twisting in to a grimace.
He paused, "I doubt the terrorist would take my theory seriously ei..." He said softly but stopped abruptly when she took his hand. That feeling of something bad was coming back. His eyes were still at the street.
He closed his eyes for a second before looking back at her. "What?" He said softly.

"That no matter what happens, or what gets thrown at you, don't do anything stupid. Don't put yourself at risk, because I want you to live."
There was an odd softness in her eyes, accompanied with joy, sorrow and loss. Whatever she was speaking about, whatever had caused her to say what she did was instinctual and probably heralded from whatever had happened to them back at Barren Pines. It was a gut reaction and she only felt better after she had said it.
