"I..." She was about to respond when the phone in her pocket went off with a catchy little tune. She rolled her eyes as she pulled it out, flipping it open to the message she'd just received from her mother. "Uggh. My mother and father got back from their little trip early, it seems. They want me to go have lunch with them and since father's the one who pays for all of my little shopping excursions...."
She made a face, sighing as she reached into her purse for her little heart-shaped note pad and a pen. She quickly scribbled her number down onto it before holding it out to the other girl. "Give me a call sometime and we'll take a rain check on the book shopping? Or text me! My phone's always on unless I'm in class." Except for the times when she forgot to turn it off...

"I'll do that!" She beamed, I'll text you tonight so you have my number too ok! Have fun with your mom!"
She gave another curtsy as she took the note. "I hope it's an awesome lunch, maybe they'll go to the bookstore with you."

"I'll try..." She laughed, shaking her head as she tucked her notepad away, making sure that she had everything before heading out the door with a wave. "See you around, Ume!"
