im new 2 this but a quick question can a terminator use space marine bikes

Negative, Terminators are not allowed to be mounted on bikes. If you look on your book they can only use certain wargear. It should give you a little marke by the stuff they can't use, but I could be wrong.

Go with the full out Master instead of the commander, and ya know if your only running a single HQ make him the most bad a** thing on the field consider a Chaplain the MOS variety. Don't bother with the rocekt launcher in the tactical squad you already have a lascannon of the AP dealy. Take a regular old Melta gun and a flamer where you can, Melta guns are assault and you can move and fire, if your troops are un mounted you'll get ranged to death.

Option. 5 man squad, mounted in a rhino, divergance cleans and purify, 2 melta guns make them fire out the top hatch, result = melta mower. Rhino has pintle mounted storm bolter HK missile, smoke launcer and, search lights just incase.

also you can have 6 characters on the field

In order for him to be able to select equipment from the armory he must be given terminator honors. Then he can be given the artificer armor as long as it doesn't go over the 100 point limit of total war gear on the model.

A sergeant is considered a character, when you consider that, as long as the unit list is legal you can have up to 15 characters on the field not including command squad sergeants.

There is a limit to special characters like Marneus Calgar, Captain Lysander and people like that.

1500 points is nice, thats what i useually play. this list is a bit more balanced, Your marines might want to look into transports, Drop two mariens from each squads thats 30pts each and give them Drop pods for the 30 points, this way they are mobile and you can get them where you need them. Pluss the Drop pod comes with a stormbolter, ok it's only BS2 but it's still a stormbolter.

I have also found that dreadnaughts with drop pods, live longer but only if they are the regular Combat claw and Assault cannon loadout. But then thats the way I run them, I do like the range happy shooty ones alot also.

Just out of curiosity, What edition of codex are you on ? 3rd or 4th ? Because it makes a differance of what you can field. Also don't depend on the special characters to much because you MUST have your oponants permission to use them and if he's a brat and says no your boned. I ran into that with Captain. Shrike

the most updated one...i kind of new that...but still ill make one with Calgar and with out calgar so ill look at the options that you gave me

1.its possible that you can have a sargent with artificer armor at 20pt if you have gotten treminator honers for him

2.no it is not possible

if u want a good command squad then have a captain or lord/master with a ten man command squad and add a chaplain without jump pack it cost a lot of points but its good if you give them therminator honours a** well.
