Not sure. Probably within the next week, seeing as we only have 20 days before the actual festival. And that week we are starting monday night rehersals, where i will be sitting in a chair for 3 hours straight. At least for 3hour marhing rehearsals we are up and getting bloodflow to our body, but during oncert rehearsals, the only bloodflow is in our hands>.>

I'll definately let you know if I mad eit, which I should. I did waaaayyy better then last year, so I'm hoping for at least 2nd part. I was second third part last year, so 21 out of 33 is not bad at all with such a bad audition.

That's good how soon you find out. 3 hour rehearsals? Sounds amazing! smile

Okay. Looking forward to the results. smile
Well that's good. Well if you did a lot better this year, you'll probably be on a much higher chair.

For my audition tomorrow, I won't find out my results until March Break-ish. sad

Wow, thats a long time. I've just realized how busy February to May will be for me.

Starting the 15: Monday night rehearsals for 3 weeks
19 and 20: Regionals
March 4 or 5: Concert festival
March 10: Spring Concert
8,15,22,29: Student staff auditions(*Gulp* Hope I make DM!)
13: allstate auditions, if my bd lets me
20: Really big bbq fundraiser that could get all my schools fine arts programs 25K each.(If all goes well, no band fees and coach buses to all the farther marching festivals!)
29, (April)12, 19:Anaheim rehearsals(Our band trip to Disneyland will include Heritage Festivals, which is what the rehearsals are for. 3 hours)
April 9: Student Staff auditions
22-25: Disneyland!
May 3, 10: More 3 hour monday night rehearsals
12: End of the year concert
15: End of the year Awards picnic
26: Graduation and last day of school I think

Seems a lt busier then last year. not to mention I have a church thing every wednesday night, and the dreaded homeowrk from math class that we get every night>.> I'm not going to be bored though. Practicing conducting, my instrument, and homeowrk will take up whatever time I have left oer, and free days will be pretty much what I am doing right now. Sitting on my computer eating peanut butter covered ritz crackersXD

But yes, I really hope my doomsday ideas don't happen. AKA, I hope I don't break my arm like I'm almsot positive I will before dm auditions. Because of my recent audition luck, I wouldn't be surprised...

This happened to me once
IT was before a parade
My director told me to get my bass clarinet
he gave me tenor music
i was immobile for 3 hours after that
xD
sorry random,
but, maybe take it off only during the audition? :/
epends how ba it is, is it a huge gaping wound? sad
edit:nvm xD

*Happy dances around the house a couple of times*

I made regionals! best yet, I beat all three other clarinets in my band, including my sl! 13th chair overall. The next highest from my school was my sl, who made 19th chair. Then the freshman who made 25th, and finally the other sophomore who made 31st. I get second part too.

Out of 35 clarinets who auditioned, 34 made it. Poor 35th chair. The only one who didn't make it. I decided to annoy my bd and ask exactly how many clarinets auditioned, and my whole section had amused grins while he counted them. It took him a couple minutes. Surprsingly, a lot of people from my band didn't make it who you think would. Two seniors, one our main dm for 3 years who auditioned on both tenor and alto saxes, and our trumpet sl, didn't make it(trumpet sl was threatening to kill one person because he was first alternateXD) We do have the honors of two first chairs, our euph and tuba. Euph is only a sophomore, tuba was unexpected and a senior. Our frenchhorn player made second chair violin(obviously, she also does orchestraXD) It was funny because she asked to call her mom, and the senior tuba guy was like "Can I call my mommy too?" And they both ran outside the band room to call. their moms didn't answer.

Now I'm in a really good mood and excited.

Songs we are playing(you have to look them up. they are so awesome!)

-Amazing grace by Fank Ticheli(I love this version to deah!)
-English folk Song Suite by Vaughan Williams
-Commando March by Samuel Barber
-Toccata Marziale by Vaughan Williams

I'm so excited. and hopefully by then my finger will be better. It is looking better already adnd I managed to go a day without a bandaid.

Listening to the amazing grace on youtube, i'm pretty sur eFrank ticheli is now one of my top 10 composers, maybe top 5 or higher.

I think I've sight read English Folk Song Suite...if I remember correctly, I really liked it. :] That version of Amazing Grace is amazing, too. =D

And thirty-four clarinets...that's like, attack of the clarinets! It's just scary! xd

I know! I love it! It still isn't as bad as this one time at a game. The whole band was rude and only the student staff actually mingled with us ebcause everyone else walked right past us, and the clarinet sl said they ahd 36 clarinets. I knew I was afraid of their section! I saw them marching and I'm like "wow, thats an army!" and I was right.

Armies of clarients are bombdiggity. Yup yup
