((XD Thanks. I was waiting for Neptune Bride to return my PM, which she didn't, so I didn't know it started until about half an hour ago. Literally.))
Arisu was sitting in her room, lost in a book. She turned pages and read, oblivious to what day it was. It wasn't until after she finished a chapter that she realized what it was. "Oh no, I forgot!" she cried and slammed the book shut. She threw it onto the bed and practically ran out of the room. Today was the day the new owner was supposed to move in. The previous owner, God rest his soul, was the grandfather of the new owner. Suzuka Usagi, if Arisu wasn't mistaken. The previous owner had been very kind to the vampires, giving them a place to stay when the rest of the world shunned them. As a way to repay him, none of the vampires turned him. Arisu slowed down as she reached the stairs. She fixed her hair to make sure she looked presentable to the new owner and walked down the stairs. She saw the new girl with a bunch of the other vampires. "Hello, you must be Suzuka," Arisu said cheerily, holding her hand out for a handshake. "My name is Arisu Atsuko, but just call me Arisu."

Idly he sat in a rather ancient looking armchair in the expansive library of the mansion, ebon locks falling across his emerald eyes as he thumbed through an incredibly old looking volume. It was one of the old books, one from his days, he remembered a new copy of it residing upon the mantle of the home he'd shared with his family as a child. Ashii chuckled to himself at the remembrance, surprised he could see such things so far into his past with such clarity. The centuries he'd lived had all begun to spin and blur into one giant entity... he wasn't always sure when occurrences had taken place anymore.
He felt the shift in the occupants of the house as the sound of the car rolling up outside reached his ears through the cracked window. A flicker of interest crossed his eyes as he marked his page and arose to his feet, tucking the book beneath his arm. It seemed, their new 'Master' of sorts had finally arrived. He'd only heard as many rumors as the others had about her, nothing more than she was the granddaughter of the previous owner whom had opened his house to them, the rest they would surely find out in due time. As he made his way out of the library, his thoughts drifted to Korsu, wondering to himself just how well the younger male would hold up with a new human in the house... especially if she were young. He knew how strong the cravings could become, how irresistible the temptation. If the girl were to stay human, he would need to speak with Gitano in order to arrange a bit of a 'watch' for Korsu; the two of them making sure the younger vampire was always well above hungry, and never alone with the girl. At least, not for a while.
Ashii made his way down the spiraling staircase that lead to some of the upper floors, one hand skimming the banister softly before stepping from the stairs and entering the common area. He leaned in the doorway, surveying the situation and the occupants of the room, his eyes resting on Suzuka. Indeed she is young... quite young, though thankfully older than our Korsu. Perhaps, this won't be as hard as I was imagining.
Re-positioning the book beneath his arm, he made his way over to where their newest addition stood, waiting for Arisu to greet her before giving the woman a short bow and a flash of a smile. "Welcome, you must be our new 'Master' of sorts. Suzuka Usagi, correct? My name is Ashii Kuromori, one of the older residents of this house, a pleasure to meet you."
He gave the same small smile to Arisu and Thirin in greeting before taking a half-step backwards to allow Suzuka room to breathe, assuming she must be overwhelmed by all the greetings she was receiving. Vaguely he wondered to himself if she had even been informed of all the conditions of the mansion in which they lived.
((Ooc; So... I hope that's not too long of a post, and I hope nobody minds that I just kind of assumed some 'friendships' between any of the characters. >.>;; -- I read through all of their profiles and kind of made decisions based on what was written. If anything's unacceptable, I can always re-write it. sweatdrop
...and, is my font too small for everyone to read comfortably?
Also, is there any sort of ground-rules for just how they all live there? Did they just drift in, or did they all owe Suzuka's grandfather something so they lived with him? Anything like that? xD ))

((Bwaha, love the detail in your post.. it's like reading an actual book.. haha I like that. <- sever book nerd...
And nope! I don't mind the assumed 'friendships'. I assumed that there would be people with friendships already hehe, considering some of the vampires have been living their for quite sometime.
And from what I gather, the house was set up by Suzuka's grandfather so that the vampires had someplace to live. I think that they are free to leave and do what ever they want but they stay because it is comfortable for them. At least that's what I got out of it. But I could be totally wrong XD
And nopes, yer font is fine!
And I'm gonna stop doing this ooc and get to posting my character now.. I'm going to unfreeze people just cause we won't get anywhere until Neptune gets on to post heh.. ))
Korsu heard another person greet the human after Arisu. He looked over his shoulder and grinned. "Ashii! You've come out of your room!" he lightly walked over to him, stopping a good few feet away from him though because he was still near the owner. His eye's lingered on Suzuka before moving onto Arisu and finally onto Ashii. He leaned forward slightly, hands clasped lightly behind his back and looked at the book, "Oh, is that a new book you're reading? Whats it about this time? Not anymore ancient histories and their languages is it?"

((Really sorry for up and leaving. Had something really important to do.))
Gitano watched as the other's made their way towards the new owner. She must be overwhelmed by now. But as the granddaughter of the last owner we all are very much excited to meet her.
He smiled at Korsu and tousled his hair before the boy ran off to Ashii. He stayed by the couch, idly tuning his violin.

Emerald hues flicked in Korsu's direction as the younger male called out to him and made his way over. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he un-tucked the book from under his arm and held it out so the boy could see. Watching Korsu's eyes linger on Suzuka, Ashii inclined his head away from her and took several short steps back, raven locks brushing against his cheeks as he moved.
"Mm, it isn't exactly what you would refer to as new, I'm afraid." He admitted. The volume in his hand was horribly ragged looking, the leather peeling from the edges and the spine cracking; there was a printed date etched into the bottom left hand corner of its cover, though time had again been unkind to the book and had made the date nearly illegible. "Though, it's not about ancient histories and their languages, I can assure you of that. No, it's a Hunter reference book... written far too long ago for anyone to still hold a copy of it. Truly, the books Usagi has hidden away up there astound me."
He referred to the previous owner as 'Usagi', never having really cared to use the man's actual first name. Ashii had found it easier to stick with formality on that one; all of the others he would call by name unless requested otherwise, but Usagi had been special. Something different. Human.
The elder vampire flashed the younger a light smile as he handed the thick volume to him. "Even you might find it interesting. The 'references' it holds are stories written by some of the first Hunters in existence, or at least some of the first to document their ventures. Truly, an interesting read."
A light smile touched his lips as his eyes flicked to Gitano, watching the other male as he tuned his violin. It was no secret that Ashii for one, enjoyed listening to him play, and it was nice to have another classical musician in the house beside himself. A piano sat in a small outcropping of a room off of the dining hall, and since Ashii had moved in, its keys were never allowed to remain cold for long.
He turned his attention back to the younger vampire before him, lowering his voice to speak in a quieter tone. "By the by... how are you holding up? I assume you ate before she arrived...?"
((Ooc; Awesome stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes! -- And sorry for the disappearance earlier, though I think this will be my last post tonight.))

(Holy GEEZE, guys! I'm gone one day and look at what happens!!!!! Any way, I've read through everything, but there's no way I'll be able to respond to that all without a 10 page post, so... I'll try and be on at least once a day, but let's not get TOO carried away, alright? Thank you.)
Suzuka had thought she was shocked when the brunette had showed up, but then another young girl appeared, and she seemed as though she was possibly a little less than completely sane. After that, it was as if the flood gates opened. Before she knew what was going on, at least a half dozen people had surrounded her, most of whom seemed to know who she was.
She couldn't help it, Suzuka started to go into a mild panic attack. It wasn't that she was antisocial, but she wasn't used to being the center of attention like this. At least, not without a bit of warning.
Thirin noticed that Suzuka seemed to be loosing it, so she took a step back, pulling those closest to her along. "Alright, everyone. Let's give the new mistress a little breathing room. She didn't know about us, so this is probably a large shock for her." After giving the girl a few moments to collect herself, Thirin started in slowly. "Sorry about that. They didn't mean any harm. We're just all so excited to meet you. This is Arisu Atsuko, Virgil, Tristan Keyes, Nemuriko Yamachi, Thorn Sundark, Gitano, Korsu Nasumi, Amber Scott, and Ashii Kuromori." She indicated each as she said their name. She wasn't entirely sure she hadn't reintroduced some who had already introduced themselves, but figured that Suzuka could use the extra reminder at this point.
Suzuka took a few deep breaths and followed Thirin's gestures as she introduced the other residents of the house, trying to memorize their names, knowing it was probably useless. She counted as she went. So, there's ten of them, including Thirin. I wonder what's going on.
Remembering her manors, she spoke up. "Um, it's nice to meet you all. I'm Suzuka Usagi, but you apparently already know that. I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware that anyone lived here. I'm just a bit surprised. If you don't mind me asking, how did you all come to live here with my grandfather?"

((This thing came so close to not starting at all then boom, eight people join at once.))
"I don't trust you so sorry, you're not getting him," Tristan said still glaring at Thorn, still clinging tightly to Vergil's waist. "So their wasn't anything about us in the will, isn't that vital information" She called over to the new woman.

Suzuka's eyes widened a bit as the one blond girl, the one she had noticed earlier and had thought was a little off spoke to her, mentioning the will. "Huh, yeah. It would have been nice to have some sort of pre-information. I mean, outside those ridiculous warnings the locals gave me."

Virigl stood with tristan still clinging to him he smiled down at her. He always tried to be nice to tristan, not out of pity like when hed first met her, it was strange like he had actually become friends with her while trying to pity her, and now he almost enjoyed her quirky behavior.
Virgil Laughed and smiled over at the new girl calling.
"What do you think the curator of the will would have thought about vampires? Im sure he would have taken that seriously instead of condemning the place.... Th old codger mmight have given me s**t alot for all the rock and roll, but he knew what he was doing."
Sitting back down in a comically accidental way he sat like a king, or a hedonist. It was a strange contrast to the way that Thorn was sitting so rigid.
He spoke again to the people around him.
"Man you guys.... This is pretty intense, good thing i came upstairs, although you guys are stressin me out a little with all the fanfare. As for .... welcoming..."
Vergil left a dramatic pause and chuckled. He was too carefree to not want in on something like that.
"If you got an idea im in, just make sure it doesnt cross that imaginary line thorn... you know all this TV has made you a little careless, you should learn an instrument like gitano, he isnt about to hurt anyone with his mischeif."
He realized what he said may have been a little cold so he smiled over at her.
"Just be careful alright, i trust youll be fine but make sure everybody else is too."
He gave her a playful punch on the shoulder. It was so light that a high five would have stung more but it was more a gesture of warmth. He had always felt a little for thorn as well, She was very cold and almost empty. It bummed him out a little that he was sitting around with so much passion and she would just watch useless TV. It isnt like they didnt have 500 channels either, cus they did.... thinking on it he realized that may have been a part of the problem.

Arisu looked at Virgil. "Virgil!" she said. The poor girl hadn't known they were vampires. Arisu had wanted that surprise to wait until the shock of other people living there settled down rather than overwhelming her with surprises. She looked back at Suzuka, hoping the girl didn't take him seriously. "Ignore him. As for how we came here, I'm not sure about the others, but your grandfather took me in when I was an orphan," Arisu told her. It was half true. Her parents had been long dead by then, but she wasn't orphaned by traditional ways. Her parents had died from age.

Gitano hissed when Virgil mentioned Vampires in the will. He was going to reprimand the other, but Arisu got to it before him. He looked down at Thorn when Virgil told her to learn an instrument. "Why don't you teach her the guitar? Then the two of you could play together."
Looking up at Suzuka he said simply, "Your grandfather was kind enough to let a starving artist in. I stayed even after I was able to sustain myself."
