♥ Super Awesome Ostian Noble Lady ♥
Not many things went flutter flutter! Oh no, they didn't. Almost as soon as her dainty ears heard the sound of rustling feathers and that deep, sexy voice (...what? She was celibate, not dead.) coming from beside her, Serra immediately turned around, absolutely beaming up at the Hawk King that had appeared before her. Ooh, wonderful! Absolutely wonderful! Two sweetie pies in one day. Now that had to be a record!
Two people that wouldn't run screaming from her when she approached them!
"Oh, Tibby baby! Oh, I haven't seen you since... oh, since your wedding, huh? Oh, you little devil. ♥"
Possibly no one else in the entire world could manage to gush so much emotion into one exclamation that a heart was truly warranted in an otherwise text-based post.
And while Amelia conveniently tried to weasel away, Serra had grown so used to coping with such escape mechanisms (a la Erk) that she had no problem holding onto the girl's wrist, an eyebrow arched high as she turned those eyes back on the blonde. Suspicion leaked from every pore of her body as she openly scrutinized the spear user, torn between glaring, pouting, scowling, and arching a brow. The result was a mishmash of emotions that might have been humorous, if Serra didn't look so darned hostile about it.
Who wanted to get away from her, after all? She was a noble! Everyone wanted to be by nobility!
"Waaaaait a minute. What's the rush, hon? ...Something the matter?"
If she was exuding suspicion earlier, her last sentence now was absolutely pouring it out it like the frost in last winter's snowstorms.
Her hand was still gripping Amelia's fairly tightly. If she was to jerk her hand away, it would be an open sign of defensiveness- Serra had seen it from Erk all the time, back in the day. And yet, if Amelia didn't shake her off, she'd have to answer her questions.
Oh, decisions decisions.
Either way, Serra would get answers!

While the group assembled and chitchatted in front of the Guard barracks, they soon heard the trumping footsteps. If the group turned their attention to see who was coming, they would see Isadora strolling her horse toward them.
Earlier while she was looking at the reports she was given, she received a call from Rath. When she went to meet him, the nomad explained the situation of what happened in Estarcia. After hearing the explanation, she was given an order to go to Estarcia to help them. The paladin was a bit confused as to why the Estarcians asked for their help. She remembered clearly that she had asked for their help when Learania was attacked during Easter and they declined. So why the sudden changed of mind?
However, it was not the paladin's position to question who should receive their help or not. She knew well that it was her knight's orders to help those in need, whether they were rude or not. In addition, if Nino was well from her fatal illness (She wondered how critical her illness was. If her illness led her near the deathbed, then it would give another reason for the paladin to avoid Ayra's cooking.) and active, Isadora knew that the Archsage would help the Estarcian, no matter what.
So once again, the paladin was heading back to Estarcia. In addition, she was once again in the same mission with Vaida. Isadora began to wonder how well the Wyvern Lord would do in a forestry country such as Estarcia. It would be difficult for Vaida to battle if the war took place in the forest and not the open spaced area. But no matter. Isadora knew that the fearsome woman would find a way, one way or another.
Isadora stopped her horse and looked at the group before her. She saw some who were unfamiliar to her, but most were familiar to her such as Amelia and some of the Watch. When she saw Tibarn among the group, her face remained the same. But deep inside, she couldn't help but felt a bit disappointed. Rath and Ayra had explained to the crew about Tibarn's resignation and informed not to bother him whenever they saw him in the castle (He was still living with Ayra.) Though the paladin understood that Tibarn didn't wish to continue fighting, she couldn't help but felt disappointing to see him among the group. It would make him contradicting his reason to resign. But if the Hawk King decided to help those who were injured like the healers, then maybe.... maybe he didn't contradict himself.
"Excuse me! May I have your attention?" Isadora shouted in case those in the back couldn't hear her. "First off, I like to thank you for participating in this campaign. We cannot express our gratitude with words for your help, but we thank you with our hearts. Now, here is the explanation for the gathering for those who don't know."
Isadora scanned the area one more time to see if there were any who didn't hear the news Vaida's guards sent. She didn't want to bring those who had no desire to go into war. It was not as if she was going to force draft them. "We received words that our neighbor country, Estarcia is being attacked by unknown force. We don't know what this force is or where they come from, but what we do know is that the force is quite powerful. And due to the unknown force's tactic, the people of Estarcia are calling us to assist them.
"Not only are we going into battle against the unknown force with the Estarcians, but we are also going to aid those who are injured in battle. Therefore, we need as much healers as we can to help those in need than in battle. So if you wish to participate to aid Estarcia, then follow me and Vaida. If you have no desire to go into the war, then I suggest you should stay behind and go back to your daily life."
Isadora pulled the reins and turned her horse around. When her back was facing the group, the paladin turned her head and said. "Now, let's go to Estacia and help them. We shall go to their capital, Archesis. ONWARD!!"
Tuomas let out a neigh as he stood on his hind legs. He then began to gallop, heading toward the gates of Eyris with Isadora on top of him. The paladin looked down toward her side to make sure that she was carrying the crest of Learania with her. It would be foolish of her to go into Estarcia without the identity that she's from Learania. She didn't want the Estarcian soldiers to mistaken them as the unknown force. As she continued marching, Isadora hoped that the people of Estarcia would put their high society prejudice aside and work together. She wouldn't be surprised if they refused their help just like how they did to them during Easter.
((Terrible post, but I have my reason why it's terrible. ._.; ))

The King of Hawks managed a smile when Serra addressed him. She wasn't assaulting his sensitive ears, which went a long way to making her presence bearable for him. He ran his fingers through his hair slowly. "It's been a while," he said, and he began to go on when the fair-haired general tried to make her escape.
And was thwarted.
By a tiny bishop.
A little snort echoed in his nose at this turn of events, and he stepped forward a little to rest one hand on Amelia's shoulder. Something about the way she was moving was nervous. Of course, lots of people were nervous, but this wasn't the same kind of nervousness. Besides, she was acting pretty antisocial, not at all pleased to see someone who she had scolded for never coming to see her just... well, just this morning! "Yeah," he said slowly, "You don't look so good. Certainly shouldn't be out in the cold," he said, glancing at Serra and smirking. "Come on, if you can't meet me for drinks, at least come in and tell me what's up!"
His ear twitched at Izzy's sudden announcement. So far as he could tell, most of the guard wasn't prepared to rush off immediately, so things would be slow moving out. Even a prepared city requires more than an hour or two to mobilize forces, after all.
So... no change in plans. A moment alone to chat with Amelia, if only to mock her for running off when he finally made time to hang out.

Well what’s so bad about a little coin toss now and then?
The Tempest King Ahhh come on. Live a little! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm betting my happiness life on this one Joshua sighed as Amelia tried to escape and the bishop called Serra grabbed her, (He decided to put away a bit of time later to talk to her) and turned to look at Tibarn, "Hey, you still set on not having a bet? It’s really simple, you see all you have to d---" He was interrupted by Isadora. "Dang, well I guess that’s my cue to go form up with the Guard..... Dull lot they are..." And with another nod at Tibarn, Amelia and Serra he walked off, some of the guard had already begun moving out and so Joshua took his place in the front ranks. Some people hated being in the front ranks because of the low survivability rate but Joshua was confident in his skill, that and he was feeling lucky today. Sides he'd noticed a severe lack of officers in the guard who looked like they could fight well, fight hard enough in the front ranks for the commander to see and perhaps hear about you, prove yourself to be strong and maybe there could be a promotion in the future, a promotion meant more pay and subordinates More pay meant he could gamble more often, subordinates meant that he'd have more people willing to make bets, besides... he'd never led troops before, and wasn't that what a King was supposed to do? He'd get a bit of practice before what ever unlucky force that brought him here sent him back home to his nation. He yawned while he marched, marching was fairly boring unless you had someone to talk to…. So Joshua looked to the man on his left, but the guy was staring straight ahead with a helmet covering his face, turning to the right was a man identical to the other…. In clothes and demeanor, as if theyd been cut from the same mold or something. “Bloody faceless soldiers” (And with that the hey bales were violently pushed over…. Sorry Rhys) C’est la vie, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tell you what, We'll flip on it, Heads, I win Tails, you lose DIE

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything. You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now. Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}Amelia was certain that she had done it, that she had managed to evade Serra and Tibarn's scrutiny, when she felt a distinctly smooth, small hand grip her wrist with all of the strength of a Mauthe Doog's jaws. Amelia didn't even have to ask who had done it; the perpetrator was speaking almost immediately.
"Waaaaait a minute. What's the rush, hon? ...Something the matter?"
How does that woman have a grip like that when she's a Bishop?? Amelia smiled sheepishly at Serra, letting out a little puff of breath. She was holding her spear awkwardly in one hand now, resting it upright against her shoulder so she wouldn't bump it into anyone who was talking by. "O-Oh, nothing, dear. I just... I gotta keep up with the others, right?"
About that moment, Isadora arrived, and Amelia fell silent, almost allowing herself some degree of relaxation, while she explained things. As her words, Estarcia being invaded and requesting Learania's aid in driving out the mysterious attacking force, washed over her, Amelia felt her stomach churn just a little. The pause in conversation was enough to let her thoughts start swarming again, and Amelia had to swallow back a little nervous gibber.
Why did they have to show up...?
The General tried to smile as she felt Tibarn's large hand come down on top of her empty shoulder, but by this point, she felt cornered, a little mouse pressed between two walls by a much larger adversary, and a much louder one.
The fact that they were only doing this because they were concerned... well, it didn't help her to feel any better.
"I-It's fine, honestly... I mean, I didn't feel well earlier at all, but I'm fine now, really!" Amelia chirped, trying not to linger on whether or not what she was saying was the 'right' thing to say. She just knew she had to get moving with those troops, and these two weren't letting her.
Amelia watched the two for a moment. She looked away from them, though her hand was still dangling limply from where Serra had her vicegrip on her wrist. "Uh... I should... probably go with the others, so..." {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... Being a member of the holy order doesn't mean you can't put your own wants first sometimes. The goddess is supposed to be all‑forgiving, right? You've worked hard and you deserve to do some things that make you happy. I think she'd forgive you for it."

The group was already preparing to leave and no sign of Tristai anywhere. "...Guess she's not coming..." hoping to wait a little longer but it seems to the sniper that the wait was over. Whoever was here was going, whoever didn't show up was to be left behind. All for the better she supposed. Elhaym pushed herself off the wall, patting the bag that was over her shoulder, assuring her that her things were still with her, elixers, steel bow, her own personal bow which she named after her mother and other things she possibly needed like water. She barely noticed anybody else here until she started following after the blue-haired paladin..Isadora...if she recalled reading certain files. She hadnt' realized that Roy decided to volunteer and come along. Least that's one familier face she knew of. A crew member from what Elhaym remembered or have been told. She hadn't been here long but the girl did her homework on this place. Pausing for a moment, Elly pulled her cap a little further down. She didn't bother changing out of the skirt for some very odd reason or maybe just in a hurry to simply care. Whatever, it wasn't like she was going to be pulling any crazy stunts anyhow.

Melethia ran to the guard house as fast as she could, which was a good speed for someone in a dress, though not as fast as she once was. She tripped a few times while running her way here though. One could tell by the scrapes on her knees, hands, and face.
She had made her way to the place, with a little aid from her good sense of scent tracking. Roy's scent is one of the easiest for her to track. To her he smelled like ashes and iron. Not too many people would smell like BOTH of those things.
She looked around for Roy, but saw that the group was leaving. She figured it wasn't the best time to get all emotional with Roy, but she wasn't about to stay behind. She was in her battle clothes and she had a tome (or 2) with her. (A cookie to the first person who can guess where the 2nd tome is!) She had a feeling she was going to be in battle anyway so she took a deep breath to calm herself down and started to follow the group. All she had to do was follow the scent of Roy and the tracks left in the snow. She wasn't going to say anything that would make a big scene. This was a group headed to battle. Even though her heart ached a bit, a battle was a battle and her family's blood stirred. She was prepared for battle. Oh she wasn't going heartless or nothing, it's just that Melethia just gets really serious when it comes to battle. She was still going to have her heart to heart with Roy, it just wasn't going to be until after the battle.

More people were showing up now. There was a pink-haired Bishop (if he recalled from a long, long time ago, Lord Hector did mention a pink-haired bishop that seemed to match this person's description that traveled in his and Eliwood's group. Serra, was it?), Joshua, the grouchy mage that hung around the idiot Jaren (where the hell was that idiot anyway?), some blond bowman he never met, Amelia, Tibarn, some guy with armor he didn't recognize (Ashnard) and Isadora.
Isadora made some speech, and before long, they were heading out. Roy wandered over to Elly as they began to walk.
"Hey. Let's hope for the best, huh?" he said with a smile.
And then all of a sudden, BAM! His dragon senses were tingling! He glanced over his shoulder and paused. Mel had arrived. The last person he wanted to see right now, considering how a) he still had no idea how he felt about her, b) he still didn't get a chance to search his heart like his shotabard of an Uncle suggested him to, and c) she was probably going to pester him about why he didn't go to her house and blah blah blah.
He sighed wearily, then said a small farewell to Elly before he hurried to catch up with Isadora so he could at least try to get some information about the mysterious forces attacking Estarcia.
"Lady Isadora. Aside from what you've told us so far, what else do you know about the group attacking Estarcia?" he asked the Paladin.

♥ Super Awesome Ostian Noble Lady ♥
There was an innate part of a Bishop that made them really good at what they did- it was a sort of built-in lie detector that worked wonders, especially when one's job mainly consisted of sitting back and listening to people. Which actually got really boring, most of the time, but at least she knew when they were telling the truth, versus when they were letting dragons fly out of their proverbial behinds. But, but! It provided plenty of time for her to get access to the juiciest pieces of gossip, and she'd be lying if she claimed that she didn't let out one or two of the morsels now and again during casual conversation, despite her vows not to tell anyone...
Oh, right. But about Amelia.
That sense was blaring, like the church bells did when she'd hidden in the bell tower during her first visit to the convent. Not knowing what they'd done, she'd thrown herself on the rope and used her body weight to pull the string down as hard as she could... the resulting cacophony had left her nearly deaf for the rest of the day. It was that obvious.
"Oh, of course you feel fine! Tibby, dearie, where were you off to? If she's going off to see the others, surely you're a part of it, right? Let's just talk for a bit. We have so much catching up to do!"
Without any sort of subtlety, Serra's grip tightened on Amelia's wrist, despite the beaming grin on her face.
No, she wouldn't be getting away anytime soon.

Naught but a few days after his arrival he joined with the Watch, and was already called to arms for a war that he had no clue what was going on. He stood around with the rest of the people and looked over and saw Derrin. He stepped over and said,"Derrin, wasn't it? I would like to thank you for the directions to the Watch." as he bowed and fixed his deep red armour just a little when he came up. "Uh...So have you been in battle before?" he asked stupidly as he tried to break the ice with him again.
"Another call to arms. This time I can't be distracted. This time I will stay and fight the fight. This time will be different." John thought to himself as he stuffed a recently acquired double bow and silver bow unstrung in his quiver on his side. John sat down and fixed his shoulder pad and his left leather glove. He blankly stared into the sky wondering what was coming next.

Its not my fault you’re such a moron
Derrin; Anger Managment Just leave me alone ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A voice caused Derrin to turn around, a taller man was there and bowing to him, a little respect went a long way in Derrins opinion... perhaps this guy wasn't as much of a lackwit as he thought.
"In an official war.... no, but yes I have fought before, against things you've never even heard of, the area I'm from is very troubled." he said coolly nodding his head, "Besides my..... I suppose you could call him friend (though he’s more like a nuisance) has gone missing and I need to find him before he causes a natural disaster or something of the sort."
Derrins eyes narrowed as he searched the heads of the guard.... green hair wasn't very common, so Jaren should have been easy to pick out, it didn't take long for the mage to come to the conclusion that Jaren was not here.
But he might be in this Estracia place........ "He might be whoever caused this trouble as well." he thought irked, "It would be just like the fool to cause a war after I send him on a five minute errand."
Out loud he addressed Levail, "I don't believe I got your name, and if I did I most likely didn't bother to remember it at the time. What was it again?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feh, How annoying. Magic is my life, my soul, my heart

As Isadora galloped, she heard someone called her. Turning her attention, she spotted Roy jogging after her. When she listened to the red-haired lord's question, the paladin let out a small frown.
"I'm sorry Roy, but that's all the information I've received from Rath." Isadora replied. "We don't know the force's identity or what their motive is. What we know so far is that the force had taken one of Estarcian's forts and that they're not related to any of the countries we know in this continent. It is as if they came out of nowhere or from another world just like us. However, once we reach Archesis, we may get more information about the force and the status of the battle too."
As she trailed farther from Roy, she let out a low muttered about hoping to get pass the diplomats. The last time she went to request their help, the diplomats refused to let her see the king and her request. For days, she had spend hours, filling in the papers to get a request to see the king. However, the process of their "diplomat" was ridiculous. She had to fill up the protocol procedure. She had to fill up the order forms to request the king's audience. She nearly wanted to whack her shield against one of the diplomats when they asked for a strip body-search. Seriously, she understood that it was their way of keeping the law in order. However, she had never expected the king or the diplomats to be... paranoid.
Well, now that Estarcians had asked for their help, the paladin hoped that she didn't have to go through the same process to see the king and the captian of the guards. Otherwise, they would be wasting their time on papers while there was a battle in place. That, and they would receive a full blow of her shield to knock some sense into them.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" By the time Vaida came back in from preparing Umbriel to take off, the barracks was swarming with Guard soldiers, Watch members, and Guild people alike. The commander was certain that there were more people that would come, if they had the time, but waiting around was not going to happen. If they ran into a few stragglers running up in their departure, Vaida would pretend to look the other way, just this once. Normally she hated tardiness, but this was extremely sudden, so she told herself that she would shrug it off, since she guessed it was understandable.
Among the crowd, most people did not stand out to her. True, she wouldn't be able to see everybody with just one look, though. She did, however, spot Tibarn. His wings and... other parts are pretty hard to miss. At first, Vaida figured that he was going to be the crew that was accompanying them, but then remembered that he <********> resigned. At least it meant she could order him around and he could no longer stop her from spreading the love of her meatballs to the world. She also spotted Ghis, whom she remembered from their one annoying conversation. The fool can't even speak, and he kept looking at Vaida's chest, instead of at her face! He is truly an infuriating man.
She took another look around, to see if there was anybody else of significance. Hm, some douchebag former king, an annoying cherry whinebox, some male, green sniper with no personality whatsoever.... nope, nobody else Vaida cared about. Her soldiers all looked about ready and she spotted Mihira, so her messengers must have returned. All the other people looked like they were just talking now. All that was needed was for this crew member to show and then Vaida would issue the order to move out-
Before the commander could speak a sudden shout from some woman rang out. Vaida looked over and saw Isadora standing in front of the group. Since she was standing there, it could only mean that she was the awaited crew member. The wyvern lord listed to the dame speak, and once the woman had finished, Vaida could only stand where she was blankly. "Well damn... Just go ahead and steal my spotlight." she mumbled to herself.
The paladin spontaneously galloped off, apparently leaving everyone to go back to their idle chatter. Thankfully, though, the cavalry units of the Guard began to follow her. There was really nothing left to wait on. There had been more than enough time to prepare. Vaida stepped forward and called for everyone's attention. "Alright, you slackers! Enough chattering! Grab your things and let's move out! Follow Lady Isadora as she leads us to the Estarcian capital!" Vaida raised her hand that had her spear gripped and then banged the bottom of it to the ground. At the sound of this, the Guard soldiers formed up, ready to march. It was a familiarity to them, by now. "Move OUT!" At the order, the soldiers began to march out of the barracks.
Satisfied, Vaida turned and began to follow Mihira off to the stables, so that she could lead the wyvern units by air. However, she happened to look back and noticed some hesitation from the guild members. "You all better follow suit. You sure as hell aren't going to be slowing me down." She did not wait for a reply. she simply continued on her way, to catch up to Isadora. Estarcia awaited.

The Tempest King Ahhh come on. Live a little! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm betting my happiness life on this one Joshua had moved out with the frontline foot soldiers, not to far away from Isadora and Vaida.... in fact the commander and crew member were in sight, Isadora on the ground beyond the cavalry and the commander heading off to the stables, most likely to get that flying purse she called a wyvern. Tactically Joshua had nothing against wyverns... He had run into them before during the war and respected their ablity to fight...... He just didn't like them.... and for some reason the few times he had run into Vaidas mount it had glared at him, As if it had just ate a tasty meal... Very unsettling. Once again he looked to either side of him.... still the same guard members... or where they? Nearly everyone in this army but Joshua looked the bloody same as the next solider, he supposed since he last checked the guards could have switched positions just to screw with him..... Honestly.... it was as if he was the only unique member of the guard apart from the commander and her second in command, at least he'd be more noticeable fighting along side these guys..... "Errr, hey buddy? Want to make a wager on how long this will take?" he whispered to the solider beside him..... And got no response, the solider had ignored him outright. The gambler didn't bother to ask anyone else around him; he figured the answer would be the same..... He sighed quite loudly, the prospect of a march with no conversation did not look appealing to the swordmaster. "Its gonna be a long walk to Estracia." C’est la vie, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tell you what, We'll flip on it, Heads, I win Tails, you lose DIE
