When hearing his name being called he turned his head in the drection and spotted Bleez and smilled at her and waved. "Thank you," he said to Rhys as he was going to move as then he was hugged by Bleez. "I wasn't sure I was eather but my mother thought it would be good for me," he said to her. "Ok," he said Bleez pulled on his hand to get away from the stairs as he also looked around the room and spotting the couch and set his stuff down and then crouched down to be more on Bleez level as his tail moved back and forth. He was still a little shy with so many other that he didn't know and wasn't in a hiding place. "So how you be?" he asked Bleez as he moved his head lure around.

Bleez giggled at Marii, or Ma'ii, as she called him, as he dropped to all fours and wriggled his lure. She battled at the lure a bit, not reaching quite it. "I good, Ma'ii. Your head shiny is still pwetty!" She smiled.

She reached out to the nearest person, grabbing a sleeve or back of their shirt (she wasn't paying to much attention) and tugged eagerly. "Lookit! Isn' Ma'ii's head shiny pwetty?" She kept her focus on Marii's lure rather than whoever she grabbed.

Lucky for whomever it was, she hadn't swiped at them with her clawed hand. But she might have accidently jabbed them a little with the spikes on her right arm.

Europa just frowned deeply and looked to the boy when he approached. Sure, she was glad there was finally someone here she knew, but it was in her nature to not simply jump back into contentment once upset. She did not answer the first question posed, and upon the second she simply pointed into the group of kids toward Espen.

"The Pride boy."

((@Sekkai I don't have the ability to delete posts, and seeing as how people have already reacted to Pip being here it'd just be awkward otherwise now. I'd appreciate it if next time you'd please ask me in advance of posting as I clearly wrote a doors close rule.))

Espen looked at the package and then after attempting to build up enough courage, lunged for it and then made a small dash around the group of kids to stand close enough to a bowl of pretzels to grab a handful to pop in his mouth before he began to open the package. It was an...interesting book. Looked like it had some good pictures in it too. He'd read it later, as a book wasn't really something for a party.

At the metal boy's mention of their game, Espen looked at Europa to notice that she was sulking. It suddenly occured to Espen that she was sitting over here because he'd neglected to finish their game. Oops. Not wanted to seem at fault, Espen replied half to Vali and half to Europa.

"Well, I was gonna keep playing if Europa wants to keep playing. Everybody else can do whatever they want butchu can watch too." He said this as he moved back to his position at the air hockey table.

Noticing the new boy who had joined their mix and his reference to a birthday party, Espen waved but with a bit of a giggle and look of confusion in his eyes.

"I'm Espen, but this isn't a birthday party. Just a party. What's your name?" As he asked this, Espen was distracted again momentarily by a thought of making the hockey game a little more interesting. He knew they had some spare puck slappers under the table in case some of the others got lost, and thought that just maybe they could do something with two-person teams in their game.

He'd mention it to Europa later only if she wanted to play, and if not he wasn't going to let her foul mood spoil his party.

Vali tilted his head slightly to the side as the host ran away from him. It seemed like the other spawn could not get away form him fast enough. That was odd to him. He sighed a bit and looks around around seeing everyone hanging near or with someone else. And has he did scan the others here he could see his friend Pippin. So he was here. At least he would not have to be fully alone this night.

He could see that Pippin was talking to others so he smile and picked up his bag as well. It seemed that Espen had told him the wrong place to put the bags. Maybe Espen didn't really want him here. He looked around for the other one who share a parent with him so they could get play a game.

Pippin nodded to Europa, smiling at her before turning to see the boy she was talking about speaking to him. "Oh hai, I'm Pippin. I never been to a regular party either." he said in response to the other, blushing lightly. He felt sort of lame, never having been to a party. It sounded like the type of thing other people went to a lot, but not him. Not unless being asleep while his mother had some people over was a party at least.

The boy turned to Europa again, tugging gently at her clothes, "Europa, will ya read to me sometime again?" he asked, trying to pay attention to both of the people he had talked to. He was trying to be like his mother, who frequently hopped from person to person in conversation. She was real good at it.

Though he still hadn't noticed his best friend around. He hadn't heard Vali yet, but would surely be excited when he did.

Truth be told, Espen had never been to a party himself either, but he'd read about them in books and heard stories about them so figured it wasn't that hard to have one. Turns out though, that having a bunch of people in one spot was much harder than it had originally seemed.

He looked at everyone and tried not to seem as lost as he felt, after all, he was the host of this party and now that everyone was here maybe it would be best for them to do something together. The party needed something more though, something to make people relax and loosen up.

An idea struck Espen's mind and he snapped his fingers together. He decided to leave the air hockey table on in case anyone else was hoping to use it and wandered over to the jukebox area and clicked a couple buttons quickly. Suddenly, there was a beat in the room and music played from hidden speakers throughout the basement. It was fast paced and electronic, but not obnoxiously bass-heavy. Espen had never actually heard this song before, but it sounded good enough, and reminded him of another band that his dad listened to from Earth called Daft Punk.

He then walked over to the lightswitch area for the stage and miniature dance floor and jumped up to flip on the switch that made all the lights in the area change colours really quickly. He loved that light switch, and figured it was a good way to get people interested in the stage area for what he was planning next.

Now...he just needed a hand with the box in the closet. Rhys and Pip were too small. Bleez was talking to Ma'ii (who would've been Espen's first choice to get something off of a shelf). Europa was...well Espen hoped that the music would cheer her up. So that just left...

"Hey, umm!" Espen waved to try to get Vali's attention "Vali! Yeah. Umm...can ya help me getta box inna closet? I havea idea for something fun but I needa bit o help getn it. S'not too high up, but's kinda heavy y'know? Canya help?"
