Polecat couldn't help but feel sorry for Talon at the mention of drowning. She herself had grown up on an island and had been swimming since she was a year old. She couldn't really emphasize with the inability to swim. But she knew how frightening the ocean could be, oh yes. 'Porting', as Talon called it, was a mystery to her, but she nodded politely. "I think they age pretty quickly. Compared to us humans, that is," she said.
The thought of flying amused Ezra. He had never had much of an urge to fly. Though Ezra wasn't exactly all that snake-like in personality, he shared the snake's desire to remain firmly grounded, thank-you-very-much. He had been flying with Polecat and wasn't afraid of it, but neither did he have much interest in it. "Yeah, that would be cool," Ezra said noncomittally, bending back over his picture.

"Oh." Polecat shrugged. She had met plenty of people of different species in Gaia, and it wasn't really a big deal to her any more. She sipped her cocoa, watching Ezra and Tiwaz out in the main room.
It seemed that sooner or later everyone wanted to touch Ezra's scales, and by now he wasn't fazed at all. He smiled at Tiwaz, considering her words. "I don' think you can fly out to space. There's no air in it," he said gently, hoping that Tiwaz wasn't too disappointed. She could be excused for not knowing much about space yet, after all, she was younger than him.

Talon hid a yawn in her cup and smiled at polecat. It had been interesting meeting this young woman and she'd hope to run into her again in the future. There hadn't been any crazed or pained shouts from the other room so she had a feeling Tiwaz had enjoyed making a friend as well.
Tiwaz looked sort of sad, no air meant no flying and no traveling in space. With a soft sigh she stared at the ceiling" Well maybe someday I'll find a way." Optimistic and stubborn Tiwaz was determined though she trusted Ezra's words. " If you could go anywhere where would it be?"
