Poor guy... Koyuki thought, listening to Jerome as he did seem well....at a block in the road to the rest of his life. She knew of many inspirational words of wisdom that had helped her in times of frustration and hopelessness....but the barrier between their cultures might have been too different for him to relate to the words like she could. Still as she listened she pondered, knowing she wanted to help him.
"Letting go is one thing...but moving on does not necessarily mean you must give up your hope, or leaving being a soldier. Why can you not have it all, have fun and live while you wait for them to bring word to you. If they don't, well then you cannot regret not wasting your life just waiting?" She was about to assure him his company was always welcome even though he was finished with the sake when a brilliant idea struck her. A mischevious grin broke out on her face as the clogs of her mind began to turn.
In the heat of the moment and excitement, she broke all manners and protocol and in two shots she tossed back her cup's as well as the bit that was left in the flute before she stood with a bit of a wobble in her posture. Apparently she'd had more that she usually did and she could tell, but otherwise tried to remain sober. "Then, my friend...I will help you like you so graciously helped me. If you get 'stopped' I will simply push you forward!" Handing Jerome his helmet, she quickly took his paw in hers and with a gentle pull she motioned for him to follow.
"Come, come! I want to show you something."

Before he could really say anything further, he noticed that Koyuki suddenly became hasty. He looked at her trying to figure out what suddenly possesd her as he had his helmet given to him and one of his paw taken. "Wh..Wh..What are you?" he stammered as he put his helmet on and sealed the airlock in his suit. "Show me something? uh..." He said as he stood and shrugged "Sure why not?" he said as he prepared for whatever was to come next

Laughing at his reaction, it only feuled the fire of her determination even more. Before she left the room she snatched two long white ribbons and tucked them into the sash around her abdomen. Leaving the room she dragged him down the stairs and through the shop, right out the door and onto the front staircase. It was there she stopped a moment and released his paw, pulling out the two ribbons and tied onbe around her shoulders and across her chest as her sleeves were pulled up high. Grabbing the bottom of her kimono she entwined it with the ribbon and wrapped it around her waist, creating a mini skirt of sorts with the fabric.
"There, now lets go! It is a good thing!" She smiled and bounded through the snow like a deer, avoiding any large drifts of snow and stayed on a path that seemed to consist of many tiny paw prints. Leading him out into the woods, it wasn't too far away from the shop.
"Keep up Jerome! I know you can! Tell me, have you ever stopped to have fun before?" Koyuki called back over her shoulder, obviously excited.

In complete and utter shock at her mere strength, Jerome was dragged through the shop by the new fox he now assumed was drunk, but he just wasn't sure. He was surprised to see that they had stopped and that she had adjusted her....outfit so quickly before she took off outside. Surprised, he started to "jog" after her. Training had always taught him never to sprint as it would be fatal to run out of energy in combat.
"Where are we going?" He said as he picked up the pace a bit, feeling as his alive as he once did when he ran with hi team mate from Covenant.

"You'll see!" She winked to the Spartan, before sniffing at the trail they'd been following for a moment; moving carefully around some bushes to save her kimono from getting caught. "I think its right over...aha! There it is."
Coming out on the other side was the top of a rather steep hill, the plateau littered with tobaggans and tubes. A few noodles and kits were off to the side going for runs, but the hill wasn't very crowded today. Turning back to Jerome she smiled and held out her paws, "Tadaa! You're used to adrenaline, so this should be a breeze for you!"
Picking up a longer wooden tobaggan by the rope, she smiled longfully as her eyes navigated down the slopes. "I used to come here as a kit, watch the rest of them play and have fun. I was too scared to go down, mostly since no one would go with me. Its unusual to come to this hill alone..." She sighed a moment, before her energy returned. "How about it Jerome? Will you sled with me?"

Perplexed further, he continued his run, only to nearly run into a tree when he suddenly saw that the one he was following had slowed her pace down. He backtracked a bit and followed, and soon found she had lead him to a hill where others where taking wooden things and sliding down the hill at break neck speeds. He raised an eyebrow under his helmet and turned to see she was wanting him to try it. He then looked at the tobaggan and back to the hill.
"I don't know if that will hold me. This armor is...very heavy, and I wouldn't want to dull the experience by a slow ride" he said with every bit of honesty in his voice. In his mind, he thought if he hadn't had the bulky and often overbearing armor, he could do a lot of things, but he just wasn't sure if the wooden object would hold

Ah, yes. She hadn't quite thought about that, not to mention mostly kits rode the tobaggans. Rubbing her temple a moment she tried to think of a way he could tobaggan with that armor, the both of them. Hell if she was going by herself!
"OH! Wait here." It might not have been the best solution, but it would work. Jogging down the bush line she peered over a few of them, continuing down the plateau untill she seemed to find what she was looking for. Braving her Kimono she pushed herself intot he bush a bit and pulled out a larger innertube, its thick hide and large frame would easily hold them, and the best part was that it was inflated, and wouldn't slow at all.
Lugging it back to Jerome she flopped it down at his feet with a triumphant grin. "Problem solved. Now get on, I'm not going in front!" Koyuki liked to think she was bold, but she was not that stupidly brave. Besides, he had armor to protect him if anything happened.

Jerome saw Koyuki trudge through the thick foliage, and for a moment almost followed, until she saw her drag a dark colored inner tube. He raised a questioning eyebrow at it as the he had used one before, and didn't enjoy the ride. Of course last time he used one, it was on water. Well...snow may be different he thought as he situated it near the beginning of the slope
"Well, I guess it's better than sliding on my belly." he smirked as he sat down and tried to get comfortable, which he knew wasn't going to happen. "Me first? I guess we aren't going for chivalrous today are we?" he jested as he hopped himself and the inner tube down the slope, to his surprise he was going rather fast, but he'd been dropped in pods at thousands of feet. To him, sliding don the hill was cake

Cheeky little bugger he was, but Koyuki just chuckled merrily as he jumped onto the innertube. "Or on your head..." she mused, "I'm all for some old fashioned gentlemanly behaviour, but I don't think so!"
Taking the few steps to watch him race down the hill at speeds she didn't even want to imagine thanks to his armor, the familliar knot in her stomach returned as she felt the butterflies rampantly flying in her gut. Looking to the tobaggan still left on the slope, she figured it would be a good idea that she went down as well...but her legs had become as heavy as cement.
Returning her gaze down to the bottom of the slope she smiled and waved down to the spartan. "How was it Jerome!?" Koyuki yelled, hoping he at least enjoyed himself.

Jerome got to the bottom of the hill in at a rather sluggish pace. At least in his opinion. When he felt the inner tube level out, he quickly hopped out and let the now 200 pounds lighter tube slide away. He looked up and saw that his friend was still at the top of the hill. Hmm. Well I think someone got cold feet" he smirked to himself. He then noticed she was waving to him and asking him the ride.
For a moment he was under pressure. He can't say he really enjoyed it, but he wasn't sure if honesty was going to get him anywhere, so he opted to tell the partial truth. "Smooth sailing!" he said as he held a thumbs up with his left paw.

"Good!" Grinning in a bit of personal triumph, she figured he was waiting for her to go down, but each time she tried to do some mental coaxing she got herself no where. As much as she wanted to go down, her paws just refused to budge while her paws trembled in nervousness.
"Well....that was my big plan! Did you want to ride some more or go back?" She yelled down to him, secretly wondering if his armor had a heating system...it did seem very advanced than just the hunk of metal type!
She glanced to the tobaggan once more, as if begging her to get on, but she gulped and just looked back down to Jerome.

He looked up at her, then looked at the tub he had abandoned. "I think one go is enough for me" he said as he used his helmet's scope system to see why she wasn't moving. When his scope reached x6, he could see she was shaking a bit. Either from fear or the cold, he really didn't know.
"Are you ok? I can see you shaking." he said as he raised an eyebrow inquisitvely

Koyuki's calm fascade faultered a bit, he could see her that closely when to her he was but a small figure down the hill? "A.....ano..." Catching herself she shook her head vigorously, "I'm alright! Chilled is all!" Like he, it was not an entire lie...her paws and legs were cold without the protection from her thick kimono.
"If you can bring the tube with you, that would be great." She yelled, before finally forcing her paws to move to allow her to sit on the tobaggan, far enough away not to risk going down the slope and rubbed her paws on her legs while she waited for him; feeling the warmth from the friction.

Jerome saw her shake her head. He knew that she was scarred to come down, but he could also see that she was cold. He looked at where the tube had finally stopped. He walked over and picked it up. Upon realizing how light it was, he figured he might be able to toss the stupid thin up the hill. "Well..I'm not a sharpshooter for nothing" he said as he mustered his infinite strength and hurled the tube up the slope and watched it land in the bushes from where it was first retrieved.
"Do you want me to come up there?" He said as he focused his attention back on Koyuki.

From where she sat, Koyuki whipped her head over when she saw the tube fly with such force back into the bushes where she'd found them. 'Amazing...' she thought as she continued to rub her legs to get the circulation going again. She's started to feel warmth return to her legs and paws, before her ears perked to the sound of Jerome.
Standing up so she could see him over the hill crest, she pondered for a moment. "Unless you want me to walk down there, but I don't think there is anything out there but forest and creatures!" Koyuki had never been far from the shop before, it just didn't seem safe when you were alone most of the time.
