It's my turn to ask for some guidance. Does anyone know of something to aid sleep? It seems like I either get too much or to little these days and it's quite frustrating.

lavender or chamoile tea? or try a meditating? or maybe even as far as healing rite to ask for the sleep blocks to be removed.

*facepalm* I completely forgot about the chamomile tea thing. I'll try giving that a shot. I removed the majority of the caffeine from my diet again (I actually try not to ingest too much of said stuff, but sometimes it's hard to avoid), but I'll try adding a cup of chamomile tea before bed as well. A basic healing rite can work as well. Probably a light blue or light purple candle and some incense would work, you think?

Edit: Gah, my knowledge has rustified from lack of use, it seems. I'm glad to be part of this guild though as it's getting me off my butt and learning all this again. smile And I get to share, I like sharing.

im glad you like it. And I feel I am rebuilding my friendship with you that was lost for years, as well as building new ones.

BTW i've known Vixen longest in this guild, and she is probably one of my longest friendships. I met her on the monkey bars at our elementary school in the 4th grade. Whats neat was we lost touch for a couple years at the beginning of highschool when she moved. When I started witchcraft, she randomly found my phonenumber under her bed I believe it was and called me, it turned out she just newly started witchcraft. (Dsay started around that time with me). we celebrating my first Summer Solstice?? Or was is Spring?? I dunno anyways, stuff like that is neat.

I feel the same way. Funny that though we keep losing touch, we always seem to find one another again.

I saw. It was either summer solstice or Beltane, I don't remember which any more. But it was my first time with that holiday too. It's things like that that truly make me question whether or not fate exists, because sometimes coincidence just doesn't fit.

i had a lot of troule sleeping over the summer, and my doctor said to make sure you don't exercise a lot in the second half of the day if you plan on sleeping, and to not be on the computer or watching tv right before bed. dunno if that helps. ^^;

video games wake your brain up if you try to sleep too close to bedtime.

btw I think it was Summer Solstice, because for some reason I never heard that word before. The cool thing is I am coming for a visit to California in time for the Solstice.....that will be neat.

It very well could. Can't say something won't work if I don't try, now can I? Well I could, but then I might miss out on something that actually would help, which in turn would not help me. smile

It's not just Video Games that can wake your brain up. If you play them right before you go to bed. Any sort of activity can hinder your sleep process.

As long as I am speaking of Video Games. Don't assume that you are Immune to negative side effects from certain color patterns. The manuals for the games will tell you. Negative side effects can come from certain color patterns. The truth is, no one is Immune to these negative side effects. It just requires the proper pattern. For me, it was the game Silent Hill. I experienced loss of balance and blurry vision for a short while during game play. I'd been gaming for two decades at that point. Not once had I ever run into any sort of pattern that triggered any negative side effects.

Sometimes its color patterns, but that's not true for everybody. Some games make me nauseous (first person shooters are notorious for that with me) especially as technology has developed. Old school ones such as Doom and Doom 2 I can play, but most of what's on the 360? I can't touch. The exception to that is Bioshock. What's going on is for some reason the hyper realistic graphics in most FPS are difficult for me to process, which gives me a headache and makes me nauseous. It also seems to have something to do with the fact that, because I have an astigmatism, I have to wear glasses. Bioware's recent game Dragon Age: Origins makes me sick if I try to play while wearing glasses, while if I take my glasses off, I can play just fine. For some reason if I can't see too well and have to squint to read the text I can process it just fine. This however, is not true for a friend of mine who also has an astigmatism. Due to lack of health care and funds she can't afford glasses, and squinting to see things like video games and reading text affects her the way trying to play FPS games with my glasses on affects me. That's my two cents. I always find it interesting how different video games affect different people and why.
