Hmm....i had started right around the time that Metal Raider had came out. I've gotten so lucky with that set that i had decided to start dueling.
My first few rare cards were:
-Princess of Tsurugi
-Mirror Force
-Summond Skull
-Magic Jammer
-Kazejin

My boyfriend and I have been playing for about 2 years. Although I'm the one that got him into the actual game. He had shown some interest in it when I first met him. So I guess you could say that Yu-Gi-Oh brought us together. lol I do remember the first deck I ever bought. It was when Yu-gi-Oh first started to come on TV and they released the Yugi and Kaiba decks. I was at the mall with my nephew who at the time was about 3 and we went into a KB toys and he saw Dark Magician in the pack. And he said really loud "LOOK! It's Dark Magician!" it was soo cute. He said it really clearly. So I bought it for him. Needless to say they were everywhere after a couple of weeks. He nor I knew what to do with them so I think I ended up throwing them away. lol but now I'm back in the game.

Ive been dueling ever since the 6th grade hmm *counts on fingers* 4 years from the day I chose my first deck and made a slip up picking my first deck Yugi's

I've been playing since... well, not -when- the first starters came out, but it was before there was anything other than those and Legend of Blue Eyes. Ah, how "fondly" I remember fangirling over having Dark Magician and then realizing the total awesome that is Neo the Magic Swordsman.

Val-Rei I've been playing since... well, not -when- the first starters came out, but it was before there was anything other than those and Legend of Blue Eyes. XD Neo is pretty hot My friends always ran him in their decks for the cool-ness; I did that too but with other cards like Masaki the Legendary 3nodding

Started playing when the game first came out, then quit like a few months before the first banned list to get into magic. Then started back up again about 3 months ago. And I still play magic. Thats the hardest part, about starting this game again, I keep confusing the magic rules with yugioh thinking I can do things in this game that I can do in magic.
