Soon, everyone was settled, and Sparkio was smiling. There was Aka, and Sparkio remembered with a jolt that she was the little kit that he had helped so long ago, her and her siblings.
"Hello, Aka," Sparkio greeted kindly, smiling back down at her. "Yes, I'm Sparkio, no need for the Mr.," he added with a light chuckle as the rest of her family came into view. But there was someone retreating, toward the desert, that made Sparkio tense.
Oh, hey, he was an Elder now! He could stop that, right? He glanced up at the sky, as if asking permission, then in his best 'I-am-in-charge-and-you-will-do-as-I-say' voice, he called loudly, "Stop, Shino," Sparkio blinked in surprise at himself. Jeeze.
Shaking his head, Sparkio sighed and stood up, then said, gentler, "Please come back, just for a few minutes." He looked at the tribe, then addressed them all, though he was technically still speaking to Shino, "Then you may go where you please."
He had known that he would have to do this eventually, he just didn't want it to be immediately...but that couldn't be helped. Nobody should be trapped by their home, nobody should be forced to run to the boarders in fear of whatever he was in fear of.
What was in he in fear of, anyways? Sparkio frowned in confusion and looked back at the motley crew surrounding him, eventually spotting a fox he vaguely remembered, who had similar markings to the fox Sparkio had stopped before he could reach the boarders.
His father. Yea, that'd do it.
Soon, Shino was half-dragged back to the very brim of the small gathering, fighting it all the way. Sparkio would apologize later; he knew no fox could disobey a direct order from their Elder.
"Look, guys," Sparkio began, letting out a soft sigh. "I'll admit, I'm new to this. I'll need your help to make this tribe --our Tribe-- the wonderful, happy home it used to be." He paused, glancing at Shino briefly, then at Jin, then back to everyone as a whole. "However, that goal will not be reached if there are foxes who feel as if they are being held against their will here. That is not what a Tribe should be.
"A lot has changed lately, and I understand that it is confusing and hard to understand, but I'm asking that you please, please bear with me until we have things under control." God, that sounded weak, even to him, so he amended, "If you know in your heart of hearts that the Bamboo Tribe is no longer where you belong, please speak to me after we have addressed some of the issues hampering the tribe, in private. I will not be stopping you if it is what you want." At this, Sparkio glanced at the fox who had followed Aka, but just for a moment. He knew all about being a protective father.
Speaking of, where were his children? This sent a wave of panic through him, but he forced it away for now. His Tribe. His Tribe was what mattered. His Tribe. Focus.
"I know a lot of our friends are gone," Sparkio continued after a moment of hesitation, looking down for the first time. "But we can't give up, eh?" At this, he looked back up and offered a quirky grin, one that light up his face. "I don't know if they're gone for good or just gone for a little while, but I know that either way, they wouldn't want us to give up and die about this, huh? Whatever the problems facing us are, we can handle it. Together, as a Tribe. Someday, as a family again. I know we can."
After one more glance around the circle, Sparkio sat down, his tail wrapping around his legs. "Now then. What is the most pressing issue affecting you? Speak up, don't be shy, it's alright. I want to help."
He knew what the biggest problem was, really: everyone was gone. Sparkio had been one of many many Bamboo Tribe members, and he had been a relatively new one, at that. Nobody knew him, yet they were expected to obey him? Sparkio himself wouldn't have liked that much. He could only hope that with time and a lot of nice-making on his part, they at least wouldn't hate him someday.
Assuming the Tribe lasted that long.

Azzurre stepped up with hir's wings folded back. Hir decided to apologize, for he hadnt been much of any form of help. But he hadn't been really allowed or excepted to help by the Elders. Hir took a deep breath before stating "I know I wasnt around or much of help in any sort of form and for that I deeply apologize and promise to do better."Hir paused to look around feeling guilty. Hir wasnt sure if hir should tell them that the old Elders technialy hadnt let hir the tribe to protect it so hir didnt feel like hir could do much. So instead Hir stole a glance at Sparkio as if askin "well do i go on or jut drop it here?"
Koji moved around the outside of the group toward Shino. He understood that most of his In-laws didnt like him all that much and for what reason he didn't know and expected to never know. When he was close enought for only Shino to hear he whispered "I understand" and than continued to move on over to Katsu,Krysten, and Yunalesca to great them. Knowing that Shino might not have understood what he ment by that or could possible turn around and attack him while he had his back to him. Or another possibilty he would make a huge sceen at attack Koji while he had his back turned. He really was hopin the last wouldnt happen cause he hates to make sceens but if he were to be attacked he wouldn't fight back cause he didn't want to hurt his nephew whether his nephew liked him or not.

Narnia soon tired of attempting to lure the red normal-sized fox to play with her, and trotted over to Aara, sitting next to the sun-licked female and yawning. While it was really early to her friend, it was almost time for Narnia to go to bed! Of course, she could usually go days without a wink of sleep, but they had had a long day/night? of walking, looking, breathing, thinking, walking, praying, running, eating, walking, drinking, and even more walking! She giggled when the big Elder began, quickly quieting herself as he spoke. Wow, this guy was mesmerizing! He spoke with authority, but with a plainess that she could appreciate! Yep, he would totally make a good Elder for her! Turning after he opened to floor for comments, she saw that Aara looked a little sad. Pouting a little she gently nuzzled her friend's cheek. Poor Aara.
Aaraendorlia watched as more foxes entering the clearing warily, then relaxed as she noticed the now-familar tribe tattoo on many of them. She watched them interact with one another, a pang of alienation running through her. These foxes knew eachother, had grown up with eachother. How could she possibly compete with such close bonds? Would they ever trust her so completely as they did eachother now? She sighed tiredly, shaking her head, then perked up to listen to the word of the Elder, another pang going through her. He was addressing the members of the tribe. She and Narnia were not one of them. They would have no voice. She sighed, laying down next to Narnia and curling her tail around her so the fluffy end rested underneith her chin. She allowed Narnia to nuzzle her, bitterly taking the comfort the kind vixen offered.

Sparkio blinked in surprise as he noticed a big, winged--oh! Sparkio let out a breath of relief as it spoke, a smile working it's ways to his lips. The Guardian, of course!
He shook his head as the Guardian began to speak, chuckling softly. "You have nothing to apologize for, Azzurre," Sparkio said with a kind, friendly smile. "What happened was not your fault. Nor anyone's fault," Sparkio clarified, looking back at the Tribe and...and two new foxes?
Raising an eyebrow slightly, Sparkio dipped his head in respect to the large dragon-type beast that had been sent to help him, then looked more carefully at the two females; the bigger one looked sad, while the littler one was trying to cheer her up. Hm.
"Greetings, strangers," Sparkio said from his place, offering a friendly smile. They certainly didn't look like they'd attack anyone, and he had no reason to distrust them. "What are your names? Do you need a place to stay?" He couldn't help but keep the echo of hope from his voice; maybe Azzurre had brought good news with hir, in the form of these two females: maybe they wanted to join Bamboo! Sparkio had a feeling that anyone showing any interest in the once proud tribe would pick everyone's feelings up.
He could only hope, anyways.
