Ya, I can sight read. But ya, I've gone through band and piano. So I guess it helps a lot when you've had other things to help you practice.

I can sight read if the piano is playing. Like, if I'm just looking at the music for the first time, I can still sing through the whole song correctly. I can't see a note and automatically match it in my head, though....

I can't sight read at first, but if you tell me what one note sounds like, on the written song, I can sort of follow along on the rest of the notes.

yes indeed I can. In fact I learned one of our most recent songs just by sightreading it. Lately I've been getting more intuitive about pitch direction. Looks like my six years of cello have come in handy ^^~

I can sight read! Its really fun too. Fortunately, so can everyone else in my choir class. Its really funny, 'cause everyone seems to be In some sort of band or played an instrument. c[x

I can sight read
I've been playing viola for years so I'm sure that's helped
and my choir director believes it's a good skill to have so she helps us on it

I can sight read fairly well. Probably partly due to my piano/clarinet playing.
I've been told this by choir directors I've had. I personally don't think I'm that good but I trust my directors... 3nodding
Even though I'm alright at it, I don't like when I mess up, even if it's the first time we're seeing the music. sweatdrop
