"Well, I do know yellow rooms make you go insane quicker. Heard that somewhere, like... I don't know, guess that's not why I like it, justa cool thing I heard."
Josh watched Reg scratching, stopped chewing his skin in response. "Heh. Well I'll keep that in mind when picking you out a gift. Car freshener maybe." His snuffed out cigarette had stopped smoking now. The foot he had drawn up was tapping of it's own accord and he smiled a bit upon noticing it. He knew he had all sorts of nervous twitches, but it was fun to catch yourself doing them.

"I like the lil tree ones. Red ones, yeah." he continued to scratch, only giving a slight narrowing of the eyes when he realized he was drawing blood. His inky hair hid that fact and he continued to scratch, feeling like he could get off just from the small bit of comfort.

"White is clean though, at least. Yellow is like, white gone sour... which is kind of a poor argument for yellow I guess. Heh. Whatever, I like it, not like you need a good reason to like a color." Josh frowned a bit, tilting his head. "Whicha so itchy for?"

"Curse I got hit with the other day." he explained, still scratching feverishly now because the ease was slipping away. "S'this thread s**t, sews ya up and starts to pull the skin. If you're lucky enough to forget about it and not focus it stops."
"S'just a b***h that it sucks up into you in order to stop." he scowled darkly, but tried to shake it off. "Gonna get rightly smashed tonight, I am."

Josh leaned in a bit, pushing Reg's hand away. He could see blood on Reg's fingertips, but let it go. "Prolly should stop itching then..." Josh remembered getting stitches for something when he was young but for the life of him he couldn't think of why at the moment. He did remember having to wear a bandage to stop himself from tearing them out, though.
"Sounds like a good plan. Eh, I'll probably find a place to practice my guitar. Haven't played it in quite a few days anyhow..." Josh continued to stare hard at Reg, not wanting him to itch himself into bleeding but unable to think of a good enough reason that would make him stop.

He paused for a moment and settled for staring back at Josh for a moment. "You got the weirdest eyes, Joshie. S'like ********' fresh amber, man." He snorted and looked away, glancing to his bloodied fingernails before he wiped them onto his jeans.
"Think I might take Lav out somewhere. Let her pick up a boy or two so she's not lonely later. 'm not thinkin' I'll be sober enough to do much in the boyfriend department tonight. Save buy her s**t. She's got Daddy Reg's credit cards right now, though." he smirked to himself, enjoying the thought of the blond just going about her daily business of shopping and then getting completely ******** a few hours later.
"Blond's are a treat. But yeah, practice. I'm still hopin' for next week."

"Yeah, dunno where I got 'em from. Though I guess I don't know who my real dad is." Josh couldn't think of a single possible thing that was any shade of lavender, so he couldn't form a very good compliment about Reg's eyes, and just wound up laughing instead. "You're eyes are pretty cool, too." His gaze followed Reg's hand, the thin dark red lines his nails left behind on his jeans.
For some reason the talk of Lavender made his stomach feel funny, like he wanted to go back and sit on the other side of the booth. But he stayed next to Reg, forcefully close; the booth didn't leave much room for otherwise. He could feel the other's body heat and he wanted to get close and move away at the same time.
Josh got the just that Reg was sharing Lavender with other people, which seemed odd to him. He started to chew his own lip again, thinking. Someday he would share, too. "Well, it'll be cool to be able to text you and everything, anyways. Maybe get a drunk phone call tonight then, huh?" Josh knew he wanted to go and get drunk with Reg. But he also knew he was still sixteen, and had some inclination that he would stay clean at least until he knew he was done with the school stuff.

"Probably. Apparently, I like serenadin' people. Probably have 'Lo come with me, course he's not much help. If anything he'll do the dialing for my drunk." he grinned, flicking his bangs out of his eyes before taking another drag.
"S'fun. Wanna get these ********' auditions over with, man. Just.. You got this vibe. S'like ********' Willy Wonka and the golden ticket. You're soddin' Charlie Bucket." he laughed then, snickering as he finished up his last cup of coffee.

"That is probably the coolest analogy I have ever heard. Though admittedly Wonka is creepy as s**t in the film version, in my opinion. That does make you Wonka, doesn't it? Makes sense though. Old and batshit insane." Josh laughed back, shaking his head.
He got up out of the booth then, still grinning. He glanced out the door, listening. The rain seemed to have stopped completely now. Soon maybe even the sun would try sneaking through the clouds. "Figure I should get going, though, uhm... well I mean, unless you want to go and do something else before your plans tonight." Josh snatched the remaining sandwich that Reg had been picking at, taking a few bites before putting it back and grabbing up his phone. He put it in his pocket before he could forget it. "Practicing will be good, for sure." This sounded like a sorry excuse, but it really did sound nice to grab his guitar and practice somewhere for awhile.

"Was nice to run into you, Joshie. Made this week a lot better." he smiled, albeit tiredly.

"Alright, dude. Have fun tonight, hopefully I'll catch you soon and s**t." He turned and left before he could think anything else, giving a backwards wave as he went out the door. A bell tinkled pleasantly to signify his departure. He only looked back once he was already walking down the street and away, a very large smile across his face. He thought he'd try and find a place that he could grab some cigarettes from, just to have. But he was wrong about the sun trying to come out; the sky was still all dark clouds, and he liked it just like that.
"I've got a golden ticket..." Josh laughed, and wondered if there was a guitar riff to that song.

"Wonder if he knows he's already got it. ********' kids.. Always get me... I am ********' Willy Wonka." he muttered and laid his head back to try and doze. He closed his eyes and continued to rub at his neck, letting his cigarette smolder down into ash.
He didn't stir until he heard the familiar clack of Lavender's high heels approaching him. "Baby." he smiled and figured everything would work out fine.
