Andros shook his head. "I never wanted female offspring. I just have to make the best of it now. Though I've had it with carrying frilly fofo bags and a marshmallow rather then a child." Andros sighed.
"Very inconsiderate....no one ever wonders how we feel when we have to carry this pink stuff around."
"Pink isn't even a nice color...blue is. As far as defending herself. Whatever children I have will know how to fight. I would be ashamed of myself and them if they didn't."
Andros had begun his training pretty much as soon as he could stand. He did not understand why Earth people insisted on swaddling their children. Babying beyond infant years.
The young man went silent. Thinking.
He hoped Erebus understood this would not change his plans. He still wished to go with Trace and Summer. The humans who would allow him to stay with them and help him adapt to life on Earth for a year. His host family in a sense.

Alicia smiled softly at Andros. She patted his arm. "She will grow out of it. She maybe chubby right now but once she really starts growing she won't have all this baby fat. Well, maybe I just don't want her getting hurt. Just like I don't want you getting hurt either. I really don't want anyone getting hurt anymore. Ok tomorrow I will go find some blue dresses and a blue diaper bag. How does that sound?" She rubbed his back. "You may not have wanted a girl but she is what we got. She may even end up better than a boy. You can teach her to beat all the boys up." She smiled up at him and kissed him. "Lets not argue over colors and things like that. The future is gonna bring whatever it will bring. Today is a happy day. We should be happy. You get to see Orion and we have a healthy happy baby girl. Not many people have such great reasons to be happy."
Erebus looked at Cal. "You can try some Earth food. Everything is great here." Erebus looked over his brother and shrugged. "So other than coming here to adapt, why are you here?"

Andros was silent. "Let's go. Piper has brownies. She ALWAYS has brownies." Andros was leading his second family to the car.
"PIPER! ARE THE BROWNIES DONE COOLING YET?!" Andros yelled as soon as he saw the brownies sitting in the pan on the corner. He was nearly giddy and ready to hop about excitedly.
"YOUR JUST ABOUT OUT OF MILK! WANT ME TO PICK SOME UP AND DROP IT OFF ON THE WAY BACK FROM VISITING ORION?" He was looking for his favorite plain plate. None with the girly flowers.
Caelum looked around. He focused his four eyes on Erebus.

Alicia shook her head at Andros. "Sssh not so loud. She probably was already expecting you crazy. Thats why the brownies are there. She makes two pans remember? One just for you and one hidden away for everyone else. You should be so proud and happy you get your own pan." Allegra was strapped onto Alicia's chest like normal. She kicked and giggled and made grabbing gestures at Andros.
Alicia laughed at Allegra. Andros was off looking for his plate. "I think she wants to help you. She says upper right cabinet buttom shelf."
Piper came out holding Taylor who was busy sucking on his thumb. "Whoa. Whats this about Orion? I wanna come. Lets all go together! Group outing!"
Rosie came running out. "Uncle Dros!!! Whats going on? I want to know. Tell me tell me too!"
Matt came out in his silent way and looked rather bored. He grabbed a book and sat and began reading. It was a book about soldiers.
Erebus nodded. "I see. Why Earth instead of another planet, Caelum?"

Andros turned. Cheeks bloated with the brownies packed in them. Brownie smug on his chin and bits on his shirt. He shook his head.
"Nu gwroup outwing!" He muttered through his mouthful of brownies.
His tail whipped up quickly. Stopping curved slightly about his shoulder.

Alicia went and got a wet cloth. She went up to Andros and cleaned his chin. Allegra grabbed at him. Then squealed happily. "No brownies for you. You don't have any teeth yet, Alegra. My sweet little girl."
"Oh... Well you may get attached to Earth so enjoy your time." Erebus didn't know if he should take Caelum's whipping tail as a sign of a threat.
Piper pouted. "Why not? I can't go see little Ori? Thats not cool. And here I made you fresh brownies."

"You made me fresh brownies because you made cinnamon buns the other night and didn't even save me one!" Andros huffed.
"I brought you super cupcakes! I fixed your car, and I walked that fluffy ball of fur you call a dog! For a week while you were on vacation!" He stuffed another brownie in his mouth and glared at Alicia. Daring her to clean him up again.
"I want to see my son. He's only around for a few hours...." Andros replied gruffly.
His tail slowly lowered. Then whacked the floor. He was nervous. It was clear. He was prancing about.
"Caelum....your wanted...." Summer announced as she reentered.

Alicia smiled and kissed his cheek. Then she wiped his chin again. "You don't want to go see Orion with brownie all over your face."
Allegra clapped then she began squealing at Andros. Then she began to make a whistle like noise at him sending Alicia laughing. "
"Andros, our daughter wants to share those brownies with her. She also says you look really good. Thats why she is whistling at you." Alicia popped her butt and Allegra laughed.
Her laughed stopped suddenly. She rubbed her forehead. She had gotten bad migraines ever since she got the yeerk out of her head. They only got worse after Allegra. She sighed heavily and smiled down at Allegra as she reached for Andros.
Erebus nodded. "Well, you should go. You are needed after all. It was nice meeting you, Caelum. I hope we get a chance to see other again."

Summer clapped Caelum on the back. He paused and one had to wonder if they were sharing a private conversation. After another minute he was on his way.
Summer walked over to Erebus once Caleum was gone. "Duty calls. Sorry. Our little cadets have a great deal of training to do...." She stood there. Feeling awkward and once more like maybe she didn't really belong here.
"You should probably get back to your family...."
Summer started to walk to the smooth hidden door beneath the rocky exterior. Trace came walking out from one of the rooms. He looked from Erebus to Summer.
"Hello...." He said calmly. He had a large bag slung over one shoulder.
"Summer....we leave in ten...." He patted the large bag.
"I know....I'll be ready." Field work. The last of it. Setting up the necessary equipment so they could have constant contact with those stationed on Earth. The last few things in their military careers.
It was hard to read the relationship between this pair. They both seemed to tense up when Trace entered the area. The way he lingered about made it seem like either he didn't want to leave her alone with Erebus or he had more to say regarding their mission and didn't want E overhearing it. Finally Trace moved along.
"So.....nice seeing you.....don't worry. I'll look after Cal. My other son as I call him."
"Oh no! no brownies for you porky! Last time I gave you chocolate you wouldn't stop screaming or pooping pea soup!" He stepped back from the baby.
"Besides....I am on to you Gummy Bear!" His pet name for the baby.
"Alicia...." Andros put the brownies down and picked up the baby. "Go lay down....you will stay here with Piper. I can go myself. Easier that way anyway." He looked over at Piper. Hoping she got the message. Andros was concerned about Alicia.

Alicia was rubbing her temples when she nodded. "Maybe.. my head is really screaming." She looked at him. "Don't worry. I will be fine. I always am." She smiled at him and patted his arm.
Allegra smiled at her daddy. "aaaaaaaahhhhhh ahh ahh" She made other little baby noises at him.
Alicia looked up at Andros. "Are you sure you don't want me to go? I can make it really I can." She smiled softly at him. "Its just a headache. It will go away soon enough."
Piper nodded at Andros. "She can stay here and lay down a bit. She's been here enough to know where everything is so she can easily make herself at home." She turned to Alicia. "The advil is in the medicine cabinet if you need some Ali." She looked at Andros and raised an eyebrow as if to ask what was going on.
Erebus nodded. "Nice seeing you, Summer. I have to go get groceries." He walked forward some more. "Goodbye. Tell Cal when he wants to meet my family he can come over any time."

Andros shook his head. "Her head....it's getting worse...." He looked at Alicia. "No. You rest. I'll be fine." He picked up another brownie.
"You two....just keep each other company." He took a small bite. He seemed to be thinking.
Meanwhile Caelum and Orion were battling. Well the correct term would be sparring. The two were already shaping up to be very skilled fighters. It seemed to come naturally to the pair.

Alicia just starred at Andros. She sighed heavily. She really didn't like it when he blurted her information out like that, but what could she really do. She just gave up and dealt with it, no point in fighting. "So will you be taking Allegra with you are does Piper get to spoil her, like you did Rosie?" She smirked at him and gave him a wink. She was joking. She wasn't going to rest either, but then again he probably already figured that much.
Erebus carefully made his way through the grocery store. Checking to make sure every item he was picking up was needed or on the shopping list. Not too hard of a task, but challenging when the store was packed.

"The baby can stay here...." Andros wanted to focus on his son. He was not going to have much time to waste focusing on the little girl.
"It's her nap time anyway...."

Alicia nodded and took Allegra. "Daddy is gonna leave soon, Allegra. Say bye bye." She took Allegra's hand and gently made her waved at Andros. Allegra began her happy squealing then clapped her hands. Alicia bounced the baby on her lap.
Erebus was driving down the highway. With the groceries from the store.
Piper looked at Andros. She sat down Taylor. "Like what do you mean by getting worse? Like how worse? And when did it start getting worse?"
