Horohoro began to swim forward in an attempt to catch his brother, but as soon as he reached the mark that his brother had reached, he realized that Hiroko was now three times further ahead of him and stopped to rest. He began to drift back with the current until he once again saw their new student. He smiled bashfully and waved, "Hi." As the current carried him back. "I think I'll take it slow, after all, I'm in no rush to complete the training." That sounded like a good cover. He began to slowly moved forward with long drawn out breast strokes, barely gaining ground as he did so.
Hiroko on the other hand was having great success with this training. As he came up the them stream he battled through the current tirelessly thrashing about with his arms and legs as he headed upstream. He was far enough ahead that he had time to roll over and check on the others who ,to his dismay, were not keeping pace with him. Hiroko debated swimming back, but decided against it until he had reached the goal.
As he swam past a large curve in the river the first trickles of sunlight rained down. He was nearing the halfway point and hadn't even gotten tired, this would be to easy.

Growling under his breath Ichirou slowly became impatient with himself. Using stronger strokes Ichirou slowly picked up the pace and by the time he got close to his second Sensei he smiled. It wasn’t a smug or rude smile it was just a simple friendly smile. He was happy he was able to speed up and not break a sweat. Not but ten minutes later he was able to see his other Sensei, this only brought upon a bigger smile of determination to his face. Ichirou knew he would make it and he wasn’t going to let his other sensei down. With steady breaths and even strokes he knew he would eventually catch up to his Sensei who seemed to be paying attention to the training/punishment. As long as Ichirou thought about hot days and not so much about the freezing cold water he was able to handle it. He did have a slight after chill every once in awhile but that didn’t bother him as much as it could have if he wasn’t thinking warm thoughts. --------------------------------------------- Swim Race: Athletics DC = 12 Survival DC = 8 Bonus to Athletics: +0 Bonus to Survival: +2 1/10 successful Athletics 0 Failed Survival

Hiroko continued to race against the current, he had a sizable lead on his student now, but he could still see his brothers head bobbing behind him. Hiroko began to round the first turn, that meant he was just past a third of the journey. The could water was bothering him a little bit at this point, but it wasn't unbearable, nor anywhere close to it. Half of his conscious wanted to turn back though, and if it hadn't been for Horohoro being behind him he would have, but Hiroko's twin was more than capable of helping the new kid if he lagged behind to much, for now the focus was the finish line. The idea of getting to the end and back before Horohoro and Ichirou even made it half way rather amused him, but the smirk on his face kept him going. It would be even better if the new guy beat his brother in this race.
Meanwhile Horohoro was finally having success getting past the current. He began to pull ahead until once more he passed Ichirou by a few feet. Relief set over him as he realized that he would have a chance at beating his new student to the mouth of the cave. He could only imagine the hell and embarrassment he would receive if Ichirou did in fact make it to the end before him. He would probably be punished later when they returned to the clan house. The images of horror chilled Horohoro's bones more than these freezing waters ever could. Horohoro strived harder to get a bit more of an edge on Ichirou, slowly pulling forward and praying that he succeeded. Disappointing Hiroko would be far worse of a punishment than anything he would dish out in return. Horohoro didn't want to break that vow he had made to his brother once upon a time.

(I rolled eight once because you rolled four previosly, WHICH I TOLD YOU I WAS GOING TO DO. So maybe yo do understand and you just haven't been paying attention to the details.. Do you even know how frustrating this is to me? You tell me you've got the system down and it looks like you do, then you post again and open a new bag of worms.)

Hiroko began to powerhouse up towards the first turn, leaving his student in the dust. He was already late as is and the kid was barely making ground. Hiroko lost sight of the boy and his own brother rather quickly as he sped through the chilling waters and couldn't help but to think to himself how much training he was missing because of this kid. Being a trainer was rather bothersome at times like this.
Hiroko finally rounded the first corner completely and the waves torrent died down a bit. This was a secret not known to many, but with each turn the plunge became steeper and thus the current became stronger. Hiroko continued to tear through the river like it was easy, and to him it was, he was used to the cold water after doing this training many times before, and thus it barely bothered him now.
Hiroko continued up the river to make his way towards the second bend in the river. Hiroko was glad to finally be over halfway to his goal and finally rid himself of this task. It was so daunting and seemed to be dragging on forever. As he swam he daydreamed about breaking out the Soma-clan's jutsu scrolls and learning how to use the Soma clan jutsu for himself.
The end of the river was coming into view, finally it was almost over. This kid was taking up far to much of Hiroko's precious time, and that was nearly worthy of being a criminal act. Hiroko powerhoused his way upstream, eager to finish this bullshit.

Hiroko continued to swim up the river, now that he was almost to the end he could relax a bit and slip into a care free zone, it wasn't like the kid would ever catch up.

As Hiroko came to the final stretch he saw the sun shining in his eyes. This whol escapade had taken much longer than he had desired it to, and that meant it was time to speed up again.
