Edit: Rawr. I was hoping for fire XD oh well, grass works too. It's my third favorite type~~

Morana the Houndour sniffed around the office nervously, mouth clenched so hard around the piece of paper she had drawn that her fangs have punched little holes through the word "Rock".

She had come to start an exploration team, and she had almost forgot that she would be assigned a partner. Having never done too well with other Pokemon, she couldn't help but be anxious. A partner! Someone she'd be spending most of her time with. What if they don't like her?

A whining sound escaped her throat, and by now she had curled up in a corner of the room, looking fearfully at anyone who got close to her. After a few minutes of her being close to breaking down into tears, another Pokemon approached her. Morana could just make out the words "Dark" printed on the paper in the Pokemon's hand before shifting her head so that her fur fell into her eyes, obscuring her vision.

"Got myself a Houndour I see." The Pokemon remarked to himself. He was about half a foot taller than Morana, with dark green scaly skin. Morana shifted nervously as the strange Pokemon got nearer, and got to her feet shakily, part of her understanding that this Pokemon might be who was matched with her.

"Not much to look at are you?" The pokemon scoffed. "Well, you better not slow me down. The name's Incultyr." The strange pokemon offered Morana his hand.

Morana looked at it nervously, forced down her fear, and placed a paw on top of his.

"I'm um...I'm..." She gulped, tears coming to her eyes. She hated herself sometimes, being so cowardly.

"I'm Morana." She finally whispered. She looked up, fear in her eyes, and it wasn't lost on her new partner. He ignored it though.

"C'mon, we've already been given a room in the West Wing." He said, turning the other way. "Let's go."

"Wait!" Morana blurted out, and then immediately shrinked back, horrified at her outburst. As Incultyr turned to face her, she gulped, forcing her question out.

"Um...what kind of Pokemon are you?" She squeaked.

"You can't tell? I'm a Larvitar. Now let's go."

*Frost the Absol comes in* i wonder who's my partner ninja
