Rozz laughed "Yeah, I can tell, he's really a stickler" she said "Oh, shut up" Seth muttered. "He totally freaked when I got that gold for you. You really owe me" "Fine, if you just bet on my next match I promise to win" "Great, I'm very reassured."

Meria watched the intervining scenes play out in the Tavern feeling slightly proud that being unresponsive allowed the anti-thief to move off her and onto another thief, they're really starting to multiply nowadays, she said to herself. When Meria had finished her 'meal' she picked herself off the chair and towards the TavernOwner with a smile and began a conversation.

Seth slid back into the tavern, looking around for someone who just so happened to be drunk. "I don't see why you insist on just getting the money. I mean, if you did all this for yourself you could live on the Nobles side of town." Rozz said following her in. "Simple. If you just leave, then you get caught, then we don't get to work together again. Now shut up. I may find a nice full purse on some poor drunk person" Seth answered scanning the tavern. "There" she muttered spotting someone. "Wait here...make a diversion if I need one, but I shouldn't" She moved carefully up to the passed out man on the table. She slid her hand quickly over by his belt. Someone came up behind her. "What are you doing?" the person asked. "I'm here as a medical student" Seth answered looking at him with unflinching eyes. "As a part of my assignment, I have to be here at the tavern, and make a diagnosis of some people. This one seems interesting, and I can do you as well. Such as, you look tired, and sick, you may just have hipponantis." "What's hipponantis?" the man asked, his face paling slightly. "Oh, it's the most horrible diseses in the wide world." Seth said her face completely strait. "You start by just a simple bit of light-headedness, And then, you freak out and swell up like a hippo, and them, your fieses goes, and it's really smelly, and your food habits you can't control....I'd get out of here if I were you...human contact only makes it worse." she said. The man gasped and raced out. "Gods, people are so easy to fool." Seth muttered and turned back to her 'patient'. A dagger sipped out of her sleeve stealthfully and she slit the rope the pouch was hanging on and slid it in her pocket. "Great" she muttered.

Meria had managed to glance round from her bland discussion to see the, rather talented, thieving. She excused herself from the man and walked over to the girl, "Nice work," She noted.

Seth gave a jerk of her wrist to secure the blade back in her sleeve. "Thanks" she said

"Though I'd just take most of what's in and put it in your own bag, then it could be argued that he didn't come out with much money, rather than making him confident of a robbery by kniving," Meria pointed out, not really talking to the girl but to herself, in a thoughtful tone.

Seth shrugged. "I really just need as much money as I can get in theshortest time possible" she said, peeking into the bag. "Hey" she pulled out a small gold key. "I've been wondering where this thing was...." she muttered. "Weeeells, this makes everything a tiny bit easier" she stuck the key into her inside vest pocket.

Seth grinned "It's a key to this guys vault" she said nugding the man with her knee. "I tried to pick it, but it won't go. His kids are such jerks, I went out to scare them, and I found it. They say he has 10,000 gold, and traveling papers in there. They'd be so useful." Seth's eyes got a dreamy look for a moment before she shook her head. "There's nothing of that value in the whole city. And I've checked that lock every time I go...ahem...wandering around the nobles side."

"I don't know, the Gladiators manage pretty fine for themselves- and for me," Meria countered thoughtfully, "But as I could turn you in a any moment now, I think I better come with you."

Seth shrugged "Knock yourself out" she said "But I do know I'd never want to trade my place for a gladiators no matter how rough it may get. I mean really, fight to the death for amusement, being a captive as well. It's sick"

"Only if you do it voluntarily." Seth said "If you're, say, someone from Persia, and the General doesn't want to kill you, your stuck as a Gladiator, and you can't do anything about it, unless of coarse you're killed, or, if you lucky, either prove yourself loyal, and get set free, get enough money to buy yourself, or, once again if your lucky, you may be young enough that they don't think you had that much of a threat. Either way, it's not the life for me.
