I would like to enter my current avi.
I also celebrate the Winter Solstice as the spiritual event of the holiday season. The secular parts of Christmas aren't so different from the secular parts of Solstice: food, friends and family, joyous times.

I would like to enter my avatar as well. In commencement of Hanukkah, that starts on December 11 at sun down. I may make a tektek, but for now just the one I'm currently wearing. kiwispring
Jews call Christmas "Hanukkah"
Some Jews don't celebrate it....
Others celebrate it because they have children,
since Hanukkah is more of a children celebration.
My avatar is actually a knock toward another part of Hanukkah. Judas Maccabeus, son of Matthathias, lead this revolution against the Seleucid Empire that allowed the event (the miracle) to happen. Though the holiday is not for military dedication, I enjoy making up warriors in the modern holiday colors of blue, silver, and a hint of gold.

Ingou Whoa. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes or anything! o.o;;;
I was just bringing the idea up, since I know that people in forums usually have a stink when an event around this holiday season is labeled as a "Christmas Event". Personally, while I'm not religious, I celebrate Christmas. I just wanted to bring up that not everyone does, just in case we do come to the problem where a member doesn't feel comfortable with the contest being more involved with Christmas.
Just trying to accommodate for everyone ^^;
Maybe we could have a challenge round for people to enter a tektek or real avatar holiday/Christmas related that doesn't involve any Christmas event or such items? I mean, I know that's what the contest is about, but we're going to get a lot of avatars wearing similar things or people putting on any past Christmas item and ones from shops too.
Sorry, I know I'm just crazy, but I love seeing variety ^^;;
Oh and can you add my current avatar to the contest?
