"But that... isn't... what we... s-strife for... what I strife for", she said with a faint voice, still breathing heavily. She looked up from the ground and saw that he threw another fireball at her. In the state she was in now, she couldn't block it.

The fireball hit her body and the pain that followed made it almost impossible to breathe. The pain also blurred her vision so she could hardly see anything, but her eyelids got so heavy that she had trouble keeping them open. I gotta stay awake, she thought. if I pass out now, there's no telling if I'll ever wake up again.

She tried to fight the overwhelming weariness but the pain made it hard and slowly but surely her body gave in to it. Her body relaxed and slumped sideways onto the cold soil.

He looked at the woman and laughed. Her words were empty and held no value to him. He looked at her taking the full blast of his attack and pass out. Brain walked over to the woman and kneeled besides her. She seemed dead which was good enough, the damage he had done would take time to heal if it would heal at all...

..He checked her pulse, it was still there which was good enough. "Don't die" he whispered as he placed a black rose ontop of her boy. After that he got up, it was time for him to head back to headquarters. He looked down on the woman one last time before walking away, into the darkness of the night. He was weak at the moment, that last attack consumed a lot of his power...

..He had to get stronger and he knew that the fastest way would be to stick with the Infernal Nation and cause pain and suffering to others. He always grew stronger, each kill made him more powerfull. Brain usually took the powers of those he killed, he wasn't sure how he did it but it seemed as if they all became part of him. He had no power left to drag back Kamika so he left her in the forest...

..He knew someone would find her and drag her back for him, it was a shame that such a beautifull woman would die but it wasn't his problem, he had seen so much dead already that it no longer did anything to him. He would tell her location to one of his comrads who could then go and retrieve her body.

User Image"Oiiii! Any S.I.N.ners out there?" Bapp yelled as he walked through the forest.

"Cheh, what a boring place. Where'd they all go. I'm even in your frickin' territory." He continued to grumbled to himself when he tripped over an object on the floor.
He stumbled forward abit, then he turned around to look what he tripped over.
"A girl?" He squatted down to inspect her.
"Is she sleeping? Oii... Wake up~" Bapp nudged her but she didn't budge.
"Hur hur, a guy alone with a sleeping girl in the middle of a forest where no one can see us... Grrraaaah!" Bapp slapped himself.
"Focus, don't give in to temptation. It's the S.I.N. soil... Huh?" He noticed her wounds. Burns in several parts of her body.
"These are pretty bad... And her clothes..." Bapp averted his eyes and took a deep breath.
"Are burned in some places too... She needs treatment quickly." Bapp pushed her up to a sitting position then carried her on his back, starting to walk back to B.O.O. camp.

Wonder what her alliance is.

He carried the girl on his back all the way back to the first aid tent. It was busy, as usual.
"Oiii. I found a girl passed out waaaaaay over there with bad burns. Someone help her out." Bapp yelled out over the bustle of the tent.
"Can't you see we're busy?" A doctor yelled back at him.
"Err... No s**t. But you're busy because of injured people, and here's one more to add to the list." He said with a moronic grin, finding a random bed that wasn't occupied and laid the girl down there.
"Fine, but you help out too." The doctor handed him a first aid kit before rushing to the other side of the tent to deal with the rest of the patients.
"What a crappy doctor." Bapp took off his hat and combed his hair to the side, clipping it so it wouldn't get in his way.
"First, I should use the anti-inflammatory agent to...
==============================
"Not going to wait for her to wake up?"
"Why? I'm just doing my job. I'm not expecting a thank you or anything." Bapp answered.
"You're a weird guy."
"I hear that alot." Bapp grinned in response, strapping a safety helmet on his head and going to build more latrines.

The doctor turned around to assess Bapp's first aid.
"He's not bad. Wonder where he learned all this stuff." He packed up the gauze and bandages that Bapp left strewn all over the table, before noticing something green on the floor.

"Moron left his hat behind."

(((May I enter this?)))

Metaburo sighed. Damn, she didn't particularly like being a Guardian of the Clam; she wished she was in the kitchens or back in her tent working on her musical compositions. All she did nowadays was march up and down and up and down the tents, the border, all that crap. By the Clam, she was an artist, not a SHEEP!

Turning about, pacing (more trudging) around in front of the Overseer's Tent, she noticed a bright tophat coming her way.

"Hey, yo, Bapp! Whassup?" She took a closer look at him, then exclaimed, "Wow, you're covered in blood and dirt! What the heck happened to you?!"

(((Oh god that was so hokey.)))

(((Crap. Read too fast. Editing it this moment...)))

The ragged young girl trudged towards the desk, her expression blank as it often was. What happened just then was not something new to her and it certainly wasn't the worst. This... was nothing. This was how life always was and how it always would be. It was a fact that she'd long learned to accept.

On a whim, the girl shuffled through the letters the old lady had asked her to dispose of. The usual; bills, disconnection notices, declined customer requests, and... "We demand your loyalty...?" she read in a hushed tone. It was a black letter enclosed with a red seal. Reading over the recipient's name carefully she found that it was addressed to... James.

Coline furrowed her brow. There was something very strange going on here. From what she knew names of the children weren't disclosed until the customers came in for a formal visit, so why was a letter addressed specifically to him? She sifted through more of the black letters. Tiffany, Alex, Philip, Cassidy... along with all the others, even the matron. Every single one of them had been sent an identical black letter. And soon enough she came across her own.

She held it up in a sort of awe. "Coline..." she whispered to herself. After a few minutes of idle staring she quickly tore the letter open and read the contents:

Gaian,

After a long slumber, our Infernal Nation will rise. Soon, it will be time to make a choice: you could choose to resist our
inevitable victory and be crushed like an insect, or you could join our legion and experience power unlike any you've known.

Soon, Coline, you will be asked to make a choice. We hope that you'll join us--otherwise, you'll forever regret your mistake.

- S.

Her face could only twist in confusion. Who was this S. and what did they want? What was this all about? Could this all just be some twisted joke someone decided to pull on Halloween? But even so, how were they able to get a hold of their names? Coline shook her head and set the letter down along with the others to be discarded on one side of the table. It was a joke, it had to be. Perhaps that was the reason why the matron wanted them disposed of immediately.

Coline let out a small sigh as she went through another set of letters; pearly white, enclosed with a blue seal. Like the previous set a letter was addressed to every single person in the household. Sifting through the pile, sure enough, she found her name. "We need your help." Well, at least this one was far more polite. Carefully, as if handling something very fragile, she opened the letter and read:

Citizen,

Gaia will soon face a grave threat--one that has been dormant for a thousand years, waiting for its opportunity to strike.
Only by joining together under a shield of light can we hope to face down this evil.

We need your help, Coline. Please join us.

- A Friend

A grave threat... Could they be referring to what the other letter was talking about? Was there really some destructive force threatening to destroy all of Gaia? Shaking her head dismissively, Coline set the letter down. There was no way any of this was real. But then again, Gaia always had a flair for the bizarre...

The girl took the letter back into her hands and trailed her eyes all over it, stopping to notice a symbol on the upper-right corner drawn in blue ink. Running her fingers over it mindlessly she couldn't help but think of how peculiar it was. For all the icons to use, why settle for a humble clam? A clam...

She froze on the spot. The sender... could it be...?

Darting her eyes warily around the room she pocketed the letter and made hasty steps towards the front door. The outside world, her freedom, was just a step away but somehow she couldn't quite bring herself to take it. That single step was going to change everything; for the better or for the worse, she didn't know. But looking back to how she'd spent all these years in these four walls and to where it had gotten her... she'd come to realize that this was not how she wanted to live the rest of her life.

No... Perhaps she knew it all along.

And so, without a shred of doubt left in her mind, and nothing but the clothes on her back and the letter in her hand, Coline set out to the dusty streets with firm resolve. She was going to find her way to him one way or another and pledge her allegiance, vowing to aid him in his dark time, as he had done for her.

Fate had taken a drastic turn. This was just the start of a very long journey.

[OOC: I dunno if I get how to do this but it seems interesting and Sta's all about back story so here I go!]

Sta started keeping a detailed journal when she first realized that she had lost her memory. It was frustrating, knowing things like how to build a glider but not knowing where she learned how. The journal was left under lock and key in her tent most of the time now. She of course updated it daily, as usual. Many papers were stuffed into it when she thought they were important.

The entry from a few months back, for instance, was accompanied by two letters.

The entry:

Monday, October 19, 2009

I received two letters today.
One was asking for my help. The other was demanding my allegiance. ******** this I'm not going to play games with these people. I'll do what I think is right. We'll see who I join when the time comes. Though right now I'd probably choose the person asking for help. Fighting evil seems fun. Oh, and the right thing to do. I wonder if I fight in this war if I'll get to fly fighter jets. I LOVE things that go fast.

Note to self: Don't eat the cream soup made by Richard upstairs. The idiot can't cook.
Also, buy more Pepto Bismol while out tomorrow. And milk. And bread.

Turn a few pages and you'll find another entry on the subject:
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
You know, it's funny. Usually I'd side with the woman in a war but I really don't agree with her policies. The whole destroying the world thing kinda bothers me because I'm stuck here. So, I guess I'm joining with The Overseer. Funny, I never really cared much for him in my aquarium. Though his omnipotent god status does explain how he could be in everyone's aquarium at once. Huh.
Anyways, I hope I don't regret doing this. Richard upstairs just brought me some clam chowder, which I'm not going to eat because he can't cook. But I like clam chowder. Just not made by Richard.

Note to self: Call a plumber before Richard tries to fix anything. Buy more duct tape.

The next page:
Saturday, October 31, 2009
Damnit I'm being shipped away from Aekea. Richard was in tears when he heard the news. Though, it may be because I kicked him where it hurts with my boots on when he asked me to join S.I.N. with him instead of leave. He's such an idiot. [a teardrop stains the page around this area]
I'm being sent to Isle de Gambino. I loathe the tropics. Too warm. Too many tourists.
AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO FINISH GETTING MY PILOTS LICENSE BEFORE I LEAVE HERE. Loathesome war. Just be over so I can get back to finding a way out of this world.

Pages later:
Monday, November 9, 2009
s**t WHO THE ******** WON ALREADY[blood stains the page here]
We won. It doesn't feel like it or look like it but I know we won because we stuck by our values 'til the end.
Isle de Gambino isn't that bad I guess. The Benevolent Order is moving it's HQ here. I think I'll stick around for a while.
I think all this fighting has helped me calm down. It got rid of a lot of my anger at being here. By no means do I wish to stay in this world for the rest of my life but it seems like as good a place as any to take a break.
I can continue my research here. There's a pretty good library. And plenty of quiet spots. And the people here are really nice.

A letter is inserted here:

Dearest Sta,
I know you don't really want to hear from me. I just want to say a few things though.
I'm sorry I was trying to convince you to join S.I.N. with me. It was a mistake. I'm truly sorry.
I'm taking care of your aquarium, even though most of your fish are dead. through no fault of my own I might add. [there is an imprint in the page here where a star pendant might have been]
I hope you'll come back to Aekea, Sta. I'm keeping your plane in my parking stall. You know I always leave my car on the street anyways. I'll keep her looking nice and ready to fly until you return.
I'll keep a pot of that cream soup you like so much on the stove for you.
Yours always,
Richard

As one could imagine, Sta's journal was pretty thick. And it wasn't the first. This journal was practically brand new at the start of the war. Now, it was almost full.

---

Sta walked around one night, cradling it in her arms. She was drunk and wearing only a grey tank top with nothing underneath and a pair of loose cargo pants.

[OOC: Sorry! That was a lot to write. Only the part under the three dashes are actual RP.]
