henrytownshend4235 Seems to me that the biggest sad scene in the silent hill series still goes to Lisa's transformation. I kinda hoped more people would support walters death/life story, but at the same time not a lot of fans cared for silent hill 4 so I guess it was to be expected sweatdrop I cared for SH4 very much, it is my second favourite SH game (the first being SH2) and one of my all time favourite games period. I have never come across a game quite like that, the style, the awesome look, the creepy feeling of constant impending doom, and the characters. I did like Walter Sullivan very much, and was rather disappointed when he died. I thought he was an engaging and well thought through character. At the time of playing the game though,(first time through) I didn't think too much about his personal plight, I just wanted to either avoid or kill him. I agree, he was indeed a pawn, suckered into a cult from childhood and all he ever wanted was his mother. These thought are only in hindsight, only when I think back about him

Most games are one way, meaning you play through only in anticipation of what happens ahead. Silent Hill 4 makes you anticipate the future, but when all is said and done, requires the player to look back on all that they have done and really get a good feel for everything. It's like playing through and then getting smacked with a massive flash back.

I recently played Homecoming, and I gotta say the music that plays when you fight Scarlet made everything seem very remorseful.... It was a beautiful song, but I felt myself feeling sad after a while.

Harrowcane Saddest moment.. I cast my vote for Harry's Death in SH3 sad Although, that hallway before the Final SH2 boss gets to me as well.. Ill agree with you there, the hallway was a pretty touching moment. I actually quit walking to make sure I heard it all before reaching the end of the hallway.

That hallway is the reason I both enjoy and fear SH2 the most. The emotion that I feel, I just feel like I can relate (obviously not the whole killing part >_>; )

I haven't really played SH 0-5 (yaknow 0rigins,1,2,3,4,and 5) But yes, The second saddest scene would be the hallway. I only heard fragments of the conversation..
I think I shall look into that again...

I thought the most tragic moment was at the end of SH1. Firstly, Harry just had to whomp the s**t outta a creature that was his daughter essentially. It mustve been so hard on him to do that knowing she was in there somewhere. Then she transforms back Into Cheryl/Alessa and gave Harry the baby pointing the way to the exit. Even with those horrible graphics, you could just tell that he was so torn on what to do as he glances between Cheryl/Alessa and the baby. With the world collapsing in flames around them, he finally summons the strength to head toward the exit with the child, surely knowing that his beloved daughter is going to die as he flees. How heartwrenching! As he closes in on the exit some of the flaming debris nearly crushes them, and using the last of her strength Cheryl/Alessa prevents the debris from falling on them just long enough for them to escape. After Harry and the baby exit through the portal of light, her strength gives out and it all falls down upon her. I thought it was a very touching and tragic moment in Silent Hill history... crying
