"Come around to this end," Rhine said knowing full well that Natalia would probably kick Keeta the moment she touched her. "For your safety. And once we're away from here I'll tell you just who that Equine is..."
Knowing Keeta would see reason sooner rather than later Ceres closed her eyes and focused on herself.

Keeta frowned when Rhine refused to tell her who the equine was, but she was tired of arguing. At least he said he would tell her when they got away. She moved around to where he suggested and gazed in his eyes a moment, trying to read what he was feeling. With one last look at Ceres, Keeta pulled out her mirror, and touched both the equine and Rhine, transporting them both to the beach that faced the small island Rhine had taken her to once before.

"If he sees fit for me to stay in your company then I will do so," Natalia said as she over stepped Rhine's fast approaching tail. She ruffled her feathers as she took a couple steps forward. "Besides I know you didn't take me away from the island- I can still feel it."
Rhine dipped half himself in the water. He was miserable from being so damn dry. Being wrapped up in a tree for an extended period of time didn't help any. He kept a watchful eye on both Natalia and Keeta. "That sassy b-," he caught himself, "is Natalia."

"Natalia..." Keeta breathed, her eyes wide as she began to add everything up. The Island had taken Natalia...transformed her and....impregnated her, if she understood correctly? Impossible.
"No..." she said, as if the word would make it go away. A concerned and confused expression crossing her face, she turned to her husband and sat down next to him, her body leaning against the part of him sitting outside the water.
"How can this be?"

"She doesn't even know who she is. She'll respond to the name simply because we've told her that much. However, she thinks we are just a bunch of lairs, so it is a toss up." He licked his wife and nuzzled her. "Nothing is impossible. Remember, what it wants it gets."
Natalia whickered as she rolled her eyes. "And, it wants me... Apparently more than the lot of you or else I would have never let in the first place," she snorted and dug her hooves into the soft dirt.
"Natalia, anger makes people do foolish things," Rhine said as he gave her a don't start with me look. "Our mother will get this all straightened out and soon enough you'll be back to your adorable kid self."

"Natalia," Keeta said again, still in shock. She looked at the equine curiously as she patted Rhine's muzzle.
"You don't remember me then? Or Joel and Camille?" she asked, hoping the names of the children might at least stir something in her. She turned to Rhine again as he finished his thought.
"Speaking of your mother...where is she? I thought she'd be here by now."

Natalia's ears flickered. That voice was familiar. Something in the back of her mind was telling her that this person was a friend. But, she didn't want to believe it because that person was associated with the dragon that had helped in tricking her into capture. She leaned in a bit closer to Keeta. "If you know me then why do you look so shocked?" She was weary and kept enough distance.
"She's not as young as she use to be and fixing herself up isn't just a snap of the fingers..." Rhine sighed. "You know Keeta if you are avoiding your anger towards me I understand. I didn't expect for all this..." He lifted his tail and splashing water onto his back.

Keeta looked at Natalia again, her expression still unsure. She spoke gently, because for whatever reason the girl was as confused as she was.
"I look shocked because this is not how you were the last time we met. Surely the others tried to tell you? Natalia, the last time I saw you, you were a little girl. A little girl that loved to play with my children. A little girl that was excited to see her brother get married. A little girl that I loved very much....To see you so differerent is very shocking indeed." Finished, for the moment, and to let Natalia digest her words, she turned then to her husband.
"Do you want me to be angry with you?" she asked, a hint of exhasperation in her tone.
"Of course I'm upset with you, for leaving me nothing but a note that didn't really say much, and then disappearing for four days without a word. But now that I'm allowed to be here apparently, it doesn't seem like the time to really discuss it at the moment, unless you really feel the need to." She felt her anger flare up again at her words, but she quickly tried to cool it. They shouldn't fight in front of Natalia, even if she didn't know who she was.

"A two legged child," Natalia snorted. "Seems silly. If that was indeed what I was then I am not missing anything. Love, a foolish concept." She shook her head and whickered.
"No, I don't want you to be angry with me. However, what I want and what is is two different things." He sighed. "In my defense how was I to write you another note. I haven't exactly been in human form since I left." He sighed. He deserved it all. And, he knew his excuses didn't amount to anything.
"Stupid dragon, you know you've already lost so why keep on talking." Natalia flicked her tail and took a couple steps up the shore. She wanted to lay down but that wasn't going to happen while she was surrounded by sand.

"Why is love so foolish?" she asked the equine, frowning a bit. "It's very nice to be loved. To know that someone cares for you, would be there for you for anything is a wonderful feeling. A life without love is sorely lacking. Believe me, I should know," she gave a slightly bitter laugh before looking back at Rhine.
"I really don't want to talk about it more right now. I'm just glad you're alive..." she grew silent then and wrapped her arms around herself, looking out at the ocean, lost in thought.

"You can not miss what you never had." Natalia whickered as she settled into one of the less sandy areas. "Love makes people act foolishly." She had a memory but it was one based on what the island wanted her to have. "You put yourself in harms way for that stupid dragon and where did it get you?"
Rhine snorted. He couldn't believe how nasty Natalia had become.

"It told me he was alive and that I no longer had to worry. It told me that he had left me for a reason, though I had yet to understand it..." She turned and studied Natalia for a moment.
"I feel sorry for you," Keeta said softly, before returning her gaze to the waves.

"As I feel sorry for you," Natalia snorted.
Ceres had left her children back at the house to join up with Rhine and Keeta. She was a good ways down the beach and being in better health fastened her pace to catch up with them.
The moment Rhine smelled his mother he lifted his head. It took a moment to get the rest of him up and mobile. He was extremely careful to not cause Keeta harm.
Natalia was abrupt in her movements to stand up. Rhine's sudden movements startled her. She wanted to bolt but decided otherwise considering that the Island had decided to leave her in these peoples care.

Keeta ignored Natalia and didn't move until she felt Rhine shift. She rose and turned to see what had grabbed his attention. When she saw Ceres walking down the beach, she smiled and felt a weight lift from her shoulders. She had truly been concerned about the aging woman.

"I bet your just about tired of not being able to shift due to not having a pair of pants," Ceres chuckled and held out a pair for her son. "Thought crossed my mind while I was on my way here. Hope you don't mind but I had Vlad go through a few of your drawers to find them."
Rhine shook his head. "Not like I've got anything to hide," he snorted.
Ceres continued to act as if the day was normal. She pulled Keeta into a strong hug. "All of you is okay?" She whispered. "I sense something is out of place..."
Natalia snorted and started to prance in step. She hated that woman most of all. She wanted to bolt now more than ever.
