Happines keeps you sweet,
Trials keep you strong,
Sorrows keep you human,
Failures keep you humble,
Success keeps you glowing,
But only God keeps you going!

Thanks for that! As I read the last line I smiled cause it's so true! And I know that I keep saying "it's so true" but it's true that they're true! That's what makes them all so great! 3nodding

I've got another one that I wrote somewhat recently. Here goes: xd

Lord I need you now more than ever.
Be with me now in my heart's winter.
Show me the way into an new spring,
Let me love you, Let my heart sing.

For too long I've kept my heart focused on
All of these things that I knew were wrong.
Please help bring me out the cold.
Once I'm inside, I am yours to mold.

Lust's been taking control of my heart.
Pride has been there from the very start.
Could you help me find the narrow path?
Just post a sign and I'll do the math.

For too long I've kept my heart focused on
All of these things that I knew were wrong.
Please help bring me out of the cold.
Once I'm inside, I am yours to mold.

Lord I need you.

Christ I need you.

Spirit I need you.

I need you all now.

I hope you liked it and found some truth inside it. biggrin

Just a little something I wrote....

Valentine

Beyond the Rim of Starlight, outside the world that seems,
Rests a Captain and His sailors, a Dreamer and His dreams.
A sunset burns the blazing sky, and dusk shall turn to night.
In the darkness, in the silence, there is Love, unchanging Light.

In all holy majesty, the Prince of Peace does stand.
A day shall come when every knee shall bow at His command.
Yet I come and He is waiting... Oh, the joy that fills my heart!
For we are one, and I from Him do never wish to part.

Perfection held in timeless hands, sheer beauty in a smile.
All glory, honor, be to Him, the Love none can defile.
One summer night below the stars He gave to me His name--
My own to keep, to cherish, when His child I became.

That act, the gift of love my Savior gave for me
He offers to the world-- you have only to believe.
He calls me His beloved, and I know that He is mine,
And He shall ever, always, be my Lord, my Valentine.

LynUridain......that was amazing! Please tell me that you'll be a poet or are already one. Cause......wow! The words, the imagery......just everything is so perfect. And so true! I had tears in my eyes, but they didn't fall, but I was just so moved. You have shear talent, and don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. That was the most beautiful poem I have ever read. God has given you a great gift, and please use it more. I believe you can reach many people with your words. Keep it up, seriously. eek

Reflections in a Silver Glass

Precious memory preserved in fire
The void beyond so faintly glowing.
More secret still than marsh and mire,
This memory preserved in fire,
So far from planet winds, still blowing.
Come, solar flares, across the sky.
From star is born a sacred flame
And truth of world becomes a lie
For solar flares across the sky
Cannot heal the broken lame.

Burn, O star in blackest space
Beyond dappled clouds of planet land.
Light streams through dark and endless waste
From the star in blackest space
To then be held in small child's hands.
A true mystery from dawn of time
Trapped in poem, tamed in song,
Reflected in a timeless rhyme.
True mysteries from dawn of time
Have been hidden for so long.

All have some painted counterfeit,
Captured true Light in a word.
But to Sun, such room is candlelit,
A sorry, painted counterfeit
Of a Song which none have heard.
They chase a star into the West.
A ship through ocean, stream, and river
Passes sea and havens blessed,
Chases star into the West
Until all has turned to silver.

Shine, dear star, on shoreline white.
Beyond the reach of crystal sea,
True harmony and perfect Light
Shine from star on shoreline white
As though 'twas fated destiny.
Your Master, your dear Crafter, builds
Your brethren from mere fog and gas,
And watches as a plan fulfilled
Lets me look on ocean stilled
And see Him in that silver glass.

((Might as well share, huh?))

Thanks for this one too! Even though we already talked about it, thanks for sharing it with everybody else. biggrin

I was listening to a rap before I wrote this so it is fast paced.
I call this"
"God Gives Us Everything"

I'll remember all your teachings
As long as you continue all your breachings
Into me you warm me up
As I drink from your loving cup

[chorus]
There's no talent but of that God given
Unto everything that's livin'
There's no skill but of that from God
All the other skills are just fraud

Theres more to it all you know
And You are the one who makes it show
When I am down you raise me high
All the way up to the sky

[chorus]

There's nothing that happens that you don't know
Even if it happened long ago
With every thing you are involved
And with you nothings unresolved

[chorus]

God gives us everything
Which is why I choose to sing
With you I belong
Which is why I end this song

I am not the greatest song (actually I think I am near the worst), so my songs aren't pieced together very well. Hope it is at least decent.

Dude, that's a great song! And it has such truth in it too. You're right, everything is from God. Whenever we give Him something, we're just giving back what is His. Are you planning to put music to this? Cause it could be just fantastic with music. biggrin Thanks for sharing.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 10, 2006 8:02 pm

I would put music to it, but unfortunately I am untalented when it comes to music, so pray to God to give me a talent for instruments/singing. (as I said in the song, "there's no talent but of that God given")

I was going to ask my dad to see if he can write music for it because he does have the talent.

But thanks for the positive feedback and I will try to write some more songs.

And here it is...
I call it:
"The All Knowing"

He set me on the path
That leads to salvation
He has the wrath
That gives indignation (x2)

The all knowing, the omniscent, the greatest God of all (x2)

(because)
He saved me from the darkness
And brought me to light
He lets me confess
And he gives me insight (x2)

The all knowing, the omniscent, the greatest God of all (x2)

(because)
He lets me cry out
All of my sin
He lets me shout
All thats within (x2)

The all knowing, the omniscent, the greatest God of all
The all knowing, the omniscent, the greatest God you are

I did this one pretty fast so its not (in my opinion) as good as my other one. This one has a pretty fast pace, but isn't as fast as rap.

Man, you're just full of writing talent from God! Although you didn't spend as much time on this one, it's still a good one! It might not be worth a grammy, but I could see this being sung in my youth group someday. But I picture it going a bit slower...but that's just me. But anyway, it's still got 100% truth included and I can relate to what's in it. Thanks for posting again. biggrin

Thank you, thank you.

Here is one more that I call:

The One

God is the one,
The one to hold you tight,
The one to make you feel all right,
The one thats there day and night.
God is the one.

The one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when you feel old.
The one thats awesome, the one cool, the one that says that your not a fool.
Gods the one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when your old.
Gods the one thats awesome, the one thats cool, the one that says your not a fool.

Jesus is the one,
The one thats always there,
The one thats fair,
The one that you can share.

The one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when you feel old.
The one thats awesome, the one cool, the one that says that your not a fool.
Jesus is the one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when your old.
Jesus is the one thats awesome, the one thats cool, the one that says your not a fool.

The holy spirit is the one,
The one that understands,
The one that bands,
The one that expands.

The one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when you feel old.
The one thats awesome, the one cool, the one that says that your not a fool.
The Holy Spirit is the one to love, the one to hold, the one thats there when your old.
The Holy Spirit is the one thats awesome, the one thats cool, the one that says your not a fool.

The trinity is the way, the truth, the life.
The trinity will end all of the strife
The trinity is the deal
And the trinity is actually real

I actually started this one by listening to a D.H.T. song called "Someone" which said, "Someone to hold you tight. Someone to make you feel all right. Everyday and night." I decided to write a song by writing who this someone really was. And then it turned to a different direction. Hope you like it.

Geez technoyoshi! You've got a whole library of songs! eek You should seriously form a band sometime so you can put these words to good use! Once you get in college it would be really easy to form a group, especially if you're planning on going to a christian college.

Now about the song, again I can relate to it. God is always there and makes you feel better when you talk with Him. He's always there, day and night, like you said. Nice job, again! biggrin

Thats all I have for now (full songs at least). I am formulating another one, but sometimes it takes a while to make a song (and other times it only takes 5 min).

Once I finish this one, I will edit it into this post.

Edit: Here it is:

Your Love

The fear in my eyes
Tell me you love me
The fear that is there
Tell me you care

Why you love me so
I will never exactly know
But you fill me with glee
So I know you love me

The hope that is present
Is what you bring
The love that you give
Is the ultimate thing
