Why is there a ban for inactivity? I'm sorry but I think this is bullcrap.
I apologize, I'm incredibly stressed right now but isn't this a support guild too? And what about lurkers. ...making you HAVE to contact a crew member is just making unnecessary work for everyone. Also the numbers are gonna dwindle. You DON'T wanna start kicking people out or... years later you'll have how maybe... 2 people... and that's if this guild lasts that long.
Just send out an announcement if you want people to pay attention. Like "Hey, blah de blah we're doing something fun" or "hey, fretting over that new item?"
RAAAAAHHHHG ...that felt good.

Don't worry, I agree with you. I'm crew here, so I'm going to try my best to remain as active as possible, but for all of my other guilds, I pretty much just signed up and left. I know that it's something some people do, so I just think it should be let to slid.
Besides, what if, a few months from now, an inactive member decides, "Hey..I really wanna see if there are still people hanging on with me...I think it will help me keep the skin.....oh wait...I'm banned...I might as well just change my avatar, then."? I think it will make banned members feel like that they can change their avatar (well, I mean, everyone is free to change their avatar, we just want you all to hang on) and/or that they will feel rejected from the community that is supposed to be supportive, rather than excluding.
I don't know about other people, but I never really notice when I start to become inactive in something. It just kind of...happens. One day, I just won't feel like posting, followed by another day and another day and another, maybe the next day you don't feel well, and soon, you have an essay to write and you forget about what you were supposed to be doing all together. Life is merciless and it doesn't always give you a warning. I don't think it's really reasonable to think that people can always give you warning for when they'll be inactive because they won't always know, themselves.
I just think, as long as you have the B.O.O skin, you should stay a member, regardless of frequency of activity. It will just prevent them from coming back, otherwise, and then we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot.
Well, that's my opinion. I just think we want as many people as we can possibly have, not cut back on members who still devote themselves to B.O.O.
Ugh, long again. Sorry.

Ming - The whole... what if a while from now someone wants to participate thing is what bothers me. I've signed up for sites even... and then left... and then became really active. I actually left gaia for almost a YEAR. (so I've technically really only been here a little over 2)
And I know I was invited to join this "because I was wearing a boo skin", if I got kicked out for being inactive I would've been like "well thanks guys, don't invite me next time" o_0
=_= And now I'm up at an unreasonable hour again.

Interesting points girls... I have to agree. >.<
Continuing from that, without that sort of rule to make people stay active to maintain their member status, we need something else to keep people coming back. razz Contests, roleplays, give-aways, lots of announcements to keep people updated, etc.

Announcements SHOULD help, like maybe at least one a month saying "hey, you've been BOO skin for ___ months! Why not stop by the guild again? =D" Except it's finals tiem. I'd totally draw people otherwises...

Indeed, we should do that to keep people updated and tell them how well they're doing. 3nodding

starbubbles i don't think that people should be kicked out for being inactive. i don't spend much time in forums, nor guilds. i've just been freakishly talkative the past couple of days. the whole idea behind this guild is to offer support of those who decided to keep their skin, and i think that the rules should reflect that spirit. I agree with this. There are some people who can't have computer access randomly at times, me being one of them.
