Through the entire march, Ephraim said nothing, not even when Roy pulled out of the group. He was healed thanks to that young druid though a scar still remained on his right arm.
"Look alive, look alive! We've arrived at our destination!"
The lancer perked up, looking in the direction the Wyvern Lord was pointing out. Back here again..but this time they were here to settle things. The group started the talk about plans, whether they should charge in, divide and conquer, etc etc. Ganon suggested they break up into two groups, one charge in and the other distract Razevi.
"If..If I may" Ephraim spoke up nearly from the back of the group. "I would like to accompany those to find Blossom and Amara..if this request is possible that is.." if not, he was ok with being a distraction against Razevi. But somehow his gut was telling him something that he can't quite figure out. It was a simple request really..but really, Ephraim had to respect the one in charge's opinion.
Overall, Ephraim will be where he is needed.

Upon hearing that they had arrived, Ziaram looked up and could tell this was the place that held the girl taken...he knew this would be where he could manage to get his revenge on that raven that sliced his shoulder...He had waited for this moment and went over to the people volunteering to go, and said, "I should accompany them as well...I feel as if though part of this was my fault for not stopping that raven in the first place."

When we get home, I know we won't be home at all... ... This place we live; it is not where we belong. • ◄AKIHI► • ————————————————
When Akihi heard Rei shout about healing, he turned to Alihi. "I should, erm... go get that..."
Alihi raised her eyebrow, but didn't dare to question why; in a way, she didn't want to hear about it. "Ah... Alri--" The rest of what she was going to say was cut off by her own surprised shriek as Abel joined the hug, knocking all three of them over into the sand.
Alihi laughed, brushing sand off her back. "That's right!" She smiled slightly, standing up and pulling Akihi to his feet. The tactician patted her brother's back, brushing off some of the sand as he went off to get some healing from Rei.
After a few moments, she heard a familiar voice behind her. She turned to Ninian, her smile fading as the dancer spoke of Roy's decision. So, he left... Can't really blame him, but whatever. Alihi flipped through the tome that she was handed, eyebrow furrowing. She never could understand tomes too well... "I'm pretty sure he can't, but I'll give it to him after he gets healed." She vaguely gestured over to where Akihi was, standing somewhere over by the druid. "Thank you."
Akihi returned, his body mended and a bit of energy restored. They continued to walk on, their hearts beating like drums. Though they were as ready as they could be, both being healed and armed, nervousness threatened to overtake them. Akihi could only use Elfire, since he could not risk another Excalibur use, and Bolganone was a bit too advanced for him; Alihi, meanwhile, was afraid to draw her blade, worried that she would find herself having one sticking into her body once more.
Both shivered at the sudden temperature change as they got closer to the tower. Alihi pulled the cloak around herself tighter, while Akihi did the same with his robe.
Alihi looked up to Isadora as she approached. She was almost certain of what the paladin was going to ask her; the question was going to revolve around plans. And, really, Alihi was forming them, but none were very solid yet. "Well..." She began but stopped herself, noticing Isadora leaning towards her.
"And might I suggest not to let your emotions get in the way. We don't want to jeopardize the mission if we let our hearts pour out."
The tactician visibly twitched. She understood this, yes, but it still irritated her beyond belief to hear someone else nag her about it. It's not like I'm going to rush off blindly again! She thought bitterly, brushing her hand over her abdomen. I learned that lesson the hard way, and I do not want to relearn it... "... Of course." Alihi replied, tilting her head to look at the tower. "They're counting on us... and we're not going to let them down!"
She nodded towards Ganon before turning to the rest of the group, projecting her voice so that she would be heard by everyone. "What I was thinking was essentially what Ganon just mentioned; we split up into two groups, each group having a different goal. One will be going into the tower while the rest defend. We only need four, maybe five people to go inside..." She held up her right hand, lifting only her pointer finger. "And I will be one of them." Her eyes scanned the rest of the group. "The rest of you... I will trust you to make the decision that would be best for you. If you can fight, fight. But, please remember... If I have too many people wanting to go inside, I will start ordering people to stay out, regardless of what you think." Her hand lowered, her hand clenching slightly into a fist. "... I just don't want this to fail. I really, really don't."
———————————————— ♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦ And I miss who we were, and the town we could call our own... ... Going back to get away after everything has changed.

The paladin noticed the twitch coming from the Tactician. It seemed that the Alihi was not happy about what she had told her. The paladin frowned. She didn't mean to upset the Tactician and she knew that Alihi would do anything to have her daughter back. However, Isadora had experienced a lot not to leave emotions took the best. She just didn't want Alihi to fall under that.
When she heard Alihi replied, Isadora nodded her head. They would do their best to save them. After all, they were being counted on.
She then heard Ganon spoke up his suggestion. Isadora thought. Play as decoys while the others go in to save them? It's a good strategy, but will it work? She was unsure of how powerful this Razevi person was. She heard the story about the sorceress, but never had she fought with her. The paladin prayed that Razevi was a bit rusty on her strength. She didn't want to experience the same results as she did when battling the Heroes.
Isadora listened to Alihi's order, preparing to go into battle. Although the sand would lower her speed and cut her movement, she would do her best to help the Tactician.
"I'll volunteer to be the decoy. Just to make sure that everything goes well with your plan." Isadora spoke. She knew that she would be too noticeable if she tried to sneak into the tower, especially if riding on a horse. However, she would do her best to distract Razevi as much as she could when starting to fight. And if she knew Vaida well, she had a feeling that the Wyvern Lord would want to fight. She would need someone in the sky to check if the planning went well.
"Don't worry, Alihi. We will do our best to make sure that this plan succeed. Not to mention, bring Amara and Blossom back safely."

Shaking now, trembling,is a light all alone not a thing to heal the pain...it disappears -Ephraim- -------------------- If Alihi didn't hear him he was going to speak again. But this time the tactician gave them an option to decide which party to choose. Ephraim hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should stay or go. This was his decision alone. He thought hard, debating over it until finally he came to a decision "Please allow me to accompany you, Alihi" this was his final decision. If she had any objections to it, Ephraim would not mind. After all, this was his request and if too many people went and she ended up having him stay, it was no bother either. Was it the right choice? Who knows, All Ephraim knew was he needed to choose one or the other..and the rescue team was the one he chose. Who else would volunteer on which side was now in question. -------------------- with no return, the memories flow all being swept away toward the end of this world

Since there had been a matter of the group going inside having to be small, Ziaram figured that there would have to be others...for one there would have to be a healer...there can't be everyone being a fighter. The tactician was going no matter what, and now it looked like Ephraim would as well...figuring that he would not be a nuisance to Alihi and Ephraim he once again chose to pledge himself to helping them. "I want to do what I can to help you get your daughter..."

When Alihi got up, and made her way over toward Isadora, Abel followed, from behind. He looked around, noticing that they had come back to that place, the place where day seemed like night, and the heat of th desert vanished. This was the place they had failed at, before. Abel swallowed, and kept his cool, as he tried to listen ad understand what the others were saying.
The idea of splitting into two groups was presented, and Alihi confirmed the idea, to make it official. It could work, very well. Last time, they didn't make it inside, but this time, there was a group headed straight in. Anything could happen. Abel smiled, and lifted his hand, pointing back to himself, with his thumb. "And if Alihi's going, then I am, too!" He placed the hand on Alihi's shoulder. "No objections. I'll pretend I didn't hear them." He chuckled lightly.

Rei pressed forward, unhindered by the desert sands. Magic users were randomly able to ignore the precarious footholds that were sand dunes, after all. So, he was still in rather good shape once the mass of warriors approached the giant tower.
Rei was, suffice to say, shocked. The obsidian tower was a marvel of magical architecture, something he may not be able to create in his wildest dreams! Who knows what sorts of wonderful little trinkets and baubles of untold magical power lie inside? He bristled with anticipation at the thought. And now, Alihi was calling for a group to come and go into the tower? Marvelous! Quickly, Rei began to formulate a plan to get himself in there, one way or another. Alihi didn't hate him, luckily. As much as he hated to remember it, he did have the spirit of a certain tactician-wooing swordsman in his mind at one point in time. Maybe he could reference it if she said no. Or maybe she'd let him go, and he wouldn't have to drag that memory up for her!
Shrugging off his thoughts, Rei walked confidently up to Alihi, making sure to show that he still had his Mend Staff in more than usable condition. "Alihi, I'd like to go with you to rescue Amara. That tower is an enclosed space, so there'd be less room to move. So, you'd run a higher risk of injury." Rei began to smile as he rested a hand on the gem of his staff. "See, I'm the only one in this ragtag band that can heal. And the rest of these guys? They can just dodge whatever comes their way, and I'll patch them up when it's said and done!" He glanced back and forth, scanning the others who came forward. Abel and Alihi were an item, of course, so Abel was a given. Ephraim allegedly had some ties to Amara, though Rei didn't know much about them. And that Ziaram guy... maybe Rei was underestimating him. But maybe not. He wasn't sure. Either way, if the guy wasn't quite up to snuff, Rei had a remedy for any injuries he may receive short of death.
With a sheepish, shota-ly smile, Rei tried to butter up the Tactician more. It's not like she'd deny him for having a personal reason, right? "A-also, Alihi, I'd be thrilled to just go inside that thing... it's like some sort of scholarly haven for me, I've gotta say..." Hopefully, she'd buy it hook, line and sinker. Of course, it was the truth, so if she didn't he'd be outta luck, to say the least.

"I'll stay here... Defending seems golden." he said. It wasn't like Charles to get mixed up in something like that anyway, he preferred to be out of the spotlight. So, he just waited with the others.
But who was going to stay with him? It seemed like everyone was anxious to go up into the tower. Not even the clever Charles could guess it right.

Now I'm stuck here But I don't belong here ~Ninian~Ninian hesitated, torn. On the one hand, she wanted to be where she would be of the most use to everyone. On the other, the only reason she had even dared venture into the desert was to rescue Amara, and the dancer wanted to go into the tower with Alihi.
Approaching the tactician, Ninian said, "Alihi, I would like to go with you to help Amara. But if you would rather me stay here and act as a decoy, then I shall."
She would bend to the tactician's will on this. If Alihi wanted the dancer with her, then Ninian would go; otherwise, she would stay here. It looked like four people had already volunteered to go with the tactician as it was. I wanna be where you are Maybe I'm not so far from home

To this point, Charice had remained silent. Confused about this large battalion coming to help them, confused about this whole "Razevi" business, relieved that the other members of their group had in fact been okay the entire time, but otherwise silent.
Yet now it seemed that the group was being called upon to make decisions as to whether to charge into the tower in the rescue (assassination of Razevi?) attempt or keep the outside security distracted. She would have liked charging in the tower and taking that raven down a peg for humiliating the Watch AND the Guard the way she did... but she was a flying fighter. She'd do much better staying outside and keeping the monsters off, plain and simple.
...Come to think of it, though...
"Lady Alihi."
She looked over at the tactician, concern in her eyes.
"I will help out with the decoys, but can I ask something first? There was a shorter woman in our group earlier named Blossom. I don't see her here now... what happened to her? Is she alright?"
Their numbers had appeared the same to her, but as her thoughts had gone back to their group before the massive bandit battle, she had realized that the Hero had gone missing.

Ganon sighed, closing his eye. Amara, Amara, Amara, Amara... Yes, she was a child, and the reptile felt terrible that she'd been taken, but thank the gods for Charice.
"Blossom, too, was taken inside," he said, standing slowly. "As much as I'd love to go in and rescue her, I'm... well, in a giant black spire of death I'm about as inconspicuous as Leon was that time he tried to sneak up on Amelia and surprise her."
During the event in question, Leon had tripped, stumbled down a flight of stairs, through the game of Garbage Can Bowling Large and Clang were playing, knocked over Chickenwire's drum kit into a flock of geese, and had crashed through the thin, decayed part of the wall into the womens' shower room by accident.
Amelia didn't notice as he passed her desk. On the other hand, Charice was quite surprised.
"So I'm gonna stay outside," he finished. "But!" he added, suddenly cheerful, "Let me just tell you the same thing I told Victoria... if she's not alive and well when you get out of there, I'll make sure you all are known across all of Learania as the single most bumbling and terrible band of would-be heroes ever conceived." He smiled. "So no pressure."

As they traveled closer to the tower, the temperature dropped suddenly and the sunlight disappeared. Aruna hugged her arms around herself and shivered. She became a bit sluggish. It wasn’t that cold but the instant weather change did rob her body of some of its heat causing her to slow down. Ganon had wrapped his tail just above her waist. This comforted the nagini.
She listened carefully to the battle plan. This was the first time she had heard about Blossom being captured. Aruna felt a bit concerned to hear that a fellow hostess had fallen into evil clutches. Frowning at the current situation, she heard Ganon speak specifically to her. “Perhaps you’re right,” the scaled woman sighed. “... Hey, what's that?” “Hm?” Aruna watched as he dug something out of the sand. The bard then tossed the worn print to her. “A book,” she questioned as she caught it(just barely). “What is something like this doing buried in the desert?” “Hang onto this, we'll find out what it is later.” She nodded in response then carefully placed it her bag among the bottles of elixirs and potions. Something felt ominous about that book. Like it was going to change her life. But there were bigger things to worry about right now. For example the battle that’ll soon commence.
Alihi the tactician declared her two part strategy. One group will travel inside the tower while the rest distract this sorceress, Razevi. “I will help those acting as the decoys.”

♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦ ————————————
"... I think I have decided who will come along with me." Alihi announced clearly, with a bit of enthusiasm in her voice despite Ganon's... threat? Thanks for the warning. Really. She thought to herself, looking at the group. It's not like I wouldn't feel unworthy to live if either of them were harmed or dead! So thanks so much for that wonderful boost of confidence! She sighed quietly and cleared her throat. Oh, how she wanted to say the bitter words that were running through her mind, but the last thing she needed was to lose her focus now. An argument was just not the right thing to start at the moment.
"I would like to have Abel, Ephraim, Rei, Ziaram... oh, and why not Joshua as well? The five of you, come with me." Sure, the tactician was going against what she said earlier by adding the extra person, but who knows what might happen? "The rest of you, stay out here. And please, be careful."
She turned to Ninian, speaking solely to her. "I'm sorry, Ninian, but I think your abilities will be more useful out here..." She then turned back to the rest of the group. "You guys ready?"

"Ready as you are, Alihi." Isadora replied as she sheathed her silver sword. She wasn't sure how will she battle in the sandy area. But if there was a solid group, she would surely claimed that spot and slain off the enemies. Isadora waited for the first move to make.
