madmoo i think thats true alot of the people up north are bitchy and the ones in South are of the most part rich and conceded i live in the middle and have relatives on both sides so ive seen it all i personally think that middle is the nicest sure there are some assholes but like alot of people said theres some everywhere but yah just move to middle cali i love it here Not everyone in southern california is conceited and rich. I mean I lived here in socal all my life, in Los Angeles right near dowtown LA. I mean there are really not too many rich people over here and the other areas around here. Of course if you go to pasadena it's a totally different story but that's just how life is. Anyways getting back to the topic, I feel that no matter where you live you are going to find unkind people or people who you just disagree with. I have family all over here and it doesn't matter where they live is how they act but their own character. The way they were raised to be like or just how they were born. I consider myself a kind person and most people I meet can be kind when they want to be you just have to see them from every angle.

Euphoric Ghost Only differene I noticed is people honk their horns more often in SoCal. That's because there are more large cities (or rather just extensions of LA) in SoCal. I live in NorCal and the majority of true NorCalers live far from any major Metropolitan Area (or rather, the only TWO Metro areas: the bay area and Sacro). You spend more time in traffic in SoCal (even SF isn't as bad as some of the traffic I've seen in LA).

You came near Hollywood, the land of weirdos. That's why.
It's 'Pasadena' though.

Honestly I think people are mean where ever you go. You can't leave that. I've been to North Cali a lot to visit my best during the summers and I live in southern Cali. It's all the same to me. People are mean in Florida. (lol) There is no place like home. 3nodding California is comfortable. . .home of diveristy. 3nodding

It all depends on the atmosphere, and the general vibe of the place. Here in SoCal, the pace is much faster, and people feel they have less time to try and go outside their comfort zones. So oftentimes, you'll find they stay with their own people, and aren't too keen on the concept of blending. To be honest, I'm opposed to cliques, in general, and am an advocate of looking beyond the person's skin color, and occupation. Everyone has lived life their own way, and have their own stories to tell. And I hope to be able to explore more of this culture rich state, so I can have tales to commit to memory.

Koiyuki, you have a positive outlook and speak some truths. I'm in some agreement with you. I'm not sure about the whole atmosphere thing. . . but the general vibe is important. I think. Some Californians do seem to move quickly but it does depend where. And I agree with the cliques too. . .I myself likes to hang out and make friends with everybody. There needs to be more people like us. I'm sure you'll find your memories. I'm sure they are out there for you. *smiles*
