Thanos turned and began to make his way back to the herd, he didn't bother to tell Vengeance to follow, for he figured the younger stallion would know to do so. For a few moments he walked in silence thinking over the others words. "I will speak to the others." He finally told him. The last thing Thanos wanted was for this younger stallion to act like he was in charge right away. "But you may go and check along the river if you wish and report back to me on the numbers of horses in that direction."
"You see! He is already trying to take control, we should have killed him when we had the chance."
"I think he's trying to help not take control."
Thanos shook his head while listening to the rats. Though both did have a point. Vengeance could very well be trying to muscle his way into control or he could just be trying to be helpful. Either way he would keep his eye on the younger stallion for a while...for a number of reasons.

Vengeance nodded. He was rather thankful that Thanos hadn't actually meant for him to talk to the others. He doubted that anyone would have bothered to listen to him anyway. At least he could go check along the river though. It was a way to help Thanos out and try to make his way up in the herd. The more that he could do for Thanos the better off he would be.
In life he had been one of the best circus horses around but it had been short. In Hell he was no body. He wasn't going to be on the bottom again. Not in this new life. He wanted power, not all of it. There were too many responsibilities to be had if he was Alpha, but he was still reaching for that Beta position. It was open and he wasn't about to let anyone else take it.
"I'll start right now then if you'd like." He spoke carefully. "I'm sure you'll need to start gathering the others. I've taken enough of your time as it is." With that the stallion nodded his head in respect and began his scout down the river.
