Genji was now about to learn a new kido, Bakudo #39 Ark Shield. However, he felt more confident practicing Hado rather than Bakudo, surprising once one considers how soft and kind Genji is, yet he did do exceptionally well at blasting way enemies with magic. Now he would have to use it to shield himself. The reiatsu was focusing and raging in his body. Genji concentrated to keep it under control.

"Bakudo #39 Arc Shield!"

The energy burst out of him and morphed into a bubble around his body. Genji was so thrilled, but as so as he said, "Freakin' sweet!" the enery faded away instantly.

"Oppsy daisy..." Genji said, embarrassed. "The first time never turns out the way you want it, I suppose."

((Sorry for not posting the requirements last time, it slipped my mind. Since it's a pretty high level, I'd like to see three posts minimum as well as a fair description of your character performing each of the steps for the kido.))

Tansen watched carefully as each of the shinigami began their attempts at the kido one by one. He saw that many had difficulty keeping their reiatsu from lashing back at them. He saw a couple of members tossed back form the strain of the kidos power as well. Leonard being right near him, the young captain offered the disgruntled shinigami a hand up before clearing his throat to gain everyone's attention for a moment.

"It seems that many of you are having a bit of trouble with this kido, let me offer a bit of advice. Bakudo's are significantly different than Hado spells like the one you all just learned. Bakudo's are easier to perform once mastered, but are much more difficult to learn. This is because they require advanced shape manipulation techniques in order to be performed successfully.

You need to think of a clear image in your mind of what you want to create, and then forge it through sheer focus and determination. Concentration is the key. Think of those three steps and go for it."

"Wow ... what a jolt of energy! I get it now. I have to stay focused the whole time while using this or I could overload the spell or even worse ... underload it and get hit by an enemies attack."

Tso makes her way back to her feet and says, "Ok, now I have to do this at full speed and stay focused." Tso puts her right hand out with her palm facing up and closes her eyes. Focusing her reiatsu she can start to feel the warmth it produces throughout her body build up first in her chest and then making its way down to her right hand. When Tso opens her eyes the color of them changed to a deep crimson red and a sphere is now floating in her right hand. The sphere seems small in her hand compaired to the last one she made but, it floats in her hand alot better than the last one which shows that Tso has gained better control of it. Tso seems to have figured out the amount of reiatsu needed to make the spell work for her.

Tso says, "Bakudo #39 ..... Enkosen ... Arc Shield" Tso's makes the frame of the shield in a split second and without warning, the shield filled from the base up with Tso's reiatsu pretty fast which kind of shocked Tso. Then the center of the shield begins to fill with Tso's reiatsu, first slowly and then faster and faster until it totally fill's in and stops. Tso had done it ...... staying focused she says, "Well, well, well ..... look at that. This is going to come in handy!"

The captain stated that the trick was with the formation of the Kido in its visualization. He understood this part as he had initially formed the Kido perfectly. What also tied in to what the Captain said was the ability to maintain that visualization, something that had cost him on his 1st attempt.

Refocusing he prepared for the 2nd attempt. His thoughts were quite clear like the 1st instance with this time the visualization to a full extent. A shield to withstand all, a perfect image. Extending his hand he yelled out Bakudo 39: Enkosen.

The circle formed quite rapidly and unfortunately continued to grow to such an extent it reached 20 feet. The circle shape began to create a semi volatile movement. Kinsetsu struggled to maintain the immense structure. He realized he had put forth way too much energy in the incantation for his level of control. Sweating now as he attempted to maintain the shape the movements got even more violent till the shape collapsed on itself creating quite the noise.

He must have distracted most with his humongous shield and the resulting aftermath. Feeling a bit of eyes on him he felt it was neccessary for him to try again quickly to show he was capable.

Sejiro listened as the captain explained how to do the bakudo correctly. Think of the shape first then execute, he told himself. Sejiro slapped his palm to his forehead and let out a small chuckle. How could I have overlooked this fact? Dropping his hand back down to his side, Sejiro shook off the frustration that had followed with his failure on his first attempt. He calmly took in a deep breath of air and exhaled, filling his body with a new found certainty and understanding.

Sejiro closed his eyes and began to gather reiatsu within his body. Raising his right arm then extending his hand skyward, Sejiro channeled the reiatsu to his hand again. "Bakudo #39, Enkosen!" A sphere of dark blue reiatsu appeared in front of his hand, shielding his whole body. This time his steady flow of reiatsu held the spheres shape and size. Opening his eyes Sejiro began step two of the bakudo, he began to force the sphere to twist clockwise. Suddenly the shield of reiatsu began to move sporadically in a wave motion and was loosing reiatsu. Come on!, Sejiro told himself, Focus! Trying to compensate for the fading shield, Sejiro shot all his reiatsu into his arm as if to gain lost ground and hurry his way through it. The sphere became stronger and began to fill with reiatsu but then suddenly burst and vanished into thin air. Sejiro dropped his arm and said, "Well third time is a charm!" A smile began to form on his lips.

Feeling a bit of failure due to his inability to grasp the Kido right away as he typically did he forged forward with even greater determination. He again visualize the circle but this time as he pointed his hand outwards cut of the energy flow to a minimal level. Bakudo 39: Enkosen The energy particles rapidly assembled together moving in a circular motion. He could appreciate the small intriquite movements of the particles that eventually became the circular shielf in front of him.

The shield was formed and instead of losing focus he maintained kept his attention on his reitsu control. After a minute of holding the shield it was clear he had it down pat. He was glad he was capable of doing it this time as he did not want to dissapoint his Captain who had already seen his potential by making him a 5th seat despite being so new.

Sejiro let a smirk begin to run across his face. Even though he had failed twice already he did not let it bother him. I actually feel really good about this, he thought, I havent gone through this struggle in quite sometime. Letting out a grand belly laugh, the other shinigami must have thought he was going crazy. After he was done laughing, Sejiro proceeded to focus on the matter at hand; learning this new bakudo and completing it. This time Sejiro stood silently and gathered his reiatsu without raising his right arm. He let the cool breeze caress his face and take all his doubt and worry far away from the training ground. As soon as he felt he had gathered enough he raised his right arm quickly and then lifted his palm as if to say stop. "Bakudo #39, Enkosen!" he shouted. He felt the surge of reiatsu flow into his right arm and form into a sphere of dark blue reiatsu. This time Sejiro quickly manipulated the sphere into a flat circle that shielded his entire body. Focus Sejiro!

Sejiro gathered more reiatsu and began to fill the shield full of even more reiatsu. As soon as he felt that was complete, the shield began to spin very quickly. Joy overcame Sejiro, he had completed the bakudo. Still holding hit for an extra minute he felt that he understood the bakudo. Finally cutting the flow of reiatsu to his arm, the shield disappeared from sight. A smile crept over Sejiro's face, "Looks like the third time is a charm."

Tso sat in the grass recovering from the massive use of reiatsu used in the last kidou lesson. Looking around she sits and waits for one of the Captains to give the next kidou instruction.

Reaching down and holding her Zanpakutou in her hands Tso looks at it and says, "I haven't forgotten you my friend. The last time I used you was in the academy and that was for my qualification test to graduate. We are going to have to spend some time together so that we can become one with each other. As soon as I can break away from this training I will and then it's on to some sword play." Tso smiled and tucked her Zanpakutou back into her belt.

Watching her Captain made her think of the new promotion she had just received. Promoted to 5th Seat in her new squad was a BIG deal for Tso and a leap of faith for her Captain. Tso made a mental note to herself that she would do everything she could to prove herself to her Captain that he made the right choice.

Genji took a stance. He struggled to clear his mind. It was a struggle since he brain often ran through scenarios both possible or completely chimerical that depicted his humiliation, or a Lady GaGa music video would play. The reiatsu gentley flowed through him in waves that were as smooth and orderly as those on a calm beach.

"Bakudo #39 Arc Shield!"

The reiatsu surged, and the gentle waves turned into a tsunami. The bubble formed perfectly. Genji remained silent. He kept it up, but in a few seconds it faded away.

"Shoot," said Genji. "Third time is the charm though."

Ike gave a stern nod to the Captain Tansen and then turned him. He stood there for about 5 seconds before he did anything and when he moved, it was to channel his reiatsu. Then, with reiatsu surrounding it, Ike pointed his right index and middle finger out and then said, "Bakudo #39: Enkosen!!" A shield like blue reiatsu shot out of his hand and then shielding himself in a constriction like a his favorite blue. Ike thought to hiimself "I have been very tense since I had that flashback....Dad can you help me finish up my training. I need this if I am able to become like you." He turned around to Captain Tansen and then stretched his neck. "So I guess there is not incantation for this one?"

Ike sat down so that he could further stretch his arms. "Doing Kidou makes me pretty stiff so I need to keep my flexibility." he sad as he stood up and looked at Captain Tansen. Ike began to think to himself, "Hmm...how am I going to make this Kidou better? I guess I could concentrate my reiatsu more and then release it faster at the time of the Bakudo. Yeah I will do that." He began to concentrate his reiatsu and then held his middle and index finger out and then began to release the reiatsu slowly. Then he released all of the reiatsu that he had built up at once when he said, "Bakudo #39: Enkosen!!" The shield shot out and wrapped around his body, constricting and immobilizing it to the point where the shield almost made himself burst under pressure. Ike walked over to his body and tried to see if he could remove the shield, but he found it to be impossible. "How does that look to you? Am I ready to move on to the last bakudo?"

Having mastered the jutsu Kinsetsu began to observe the others in their attempts. It seemed many had talent as they were doing quite well despite not having fully mastered it but it reinforced his belief that the Gotei 13 could reclaim its glory days of strength. It was a matter of teaching the newer individuals and all the shinigami putting forth the effort. No one individual would succeed alone but the combined efforts would bring the promise of glory.

Genji stood completely still with his eyelids closed. His mind was easing and fitering out all of the negative thoughts. The images of those around him laughing were brushed away. Air passed into and out of his lips at a slow and steady pace. His mind cleared. Then...

"Bakudo #39 Arc Shield!"

In a much smoother yet still fast rate, the reiatsu formed into a buble that completely encased Genji. Genji was motionless and unmoved. The bubble stayed in perfect form for a much longer period then before. Now Genji was able to end the spell on his own accord. When it fade, Genji smiled brightly with child-like glee.

"I did it!"

((Sorry for the wait everyone. It looks like most of you have learned the spell, so we can move on now. For the future though, Tso-San, please make sure that you write the required numbered of posts next time. I asked for three posts minimum, not two. I'll let it slide this time, so be a bit more careful, alright? And Haseo, I'll let you get away with two posts this time too seeing as I'd like to make up for lost time, but try to be a bit faster this time okay?))

The shinigami Captain nodded and muttered words of agreement here and there as he observed his subordinates attempt at the Bakudo spell. It was a bit iffy, but with a bit of practise he would be able to use it properly in combat. He was sure of it. From his observations it seemed as if the others had finished practising the spell as well, signalling the time for him to move on to the next lesson.

"It's a little rough, but it's passable. Practise this spell on your own time to better your skills with it, okay Axel? For now though, I think it's about time to move on to the next kido."

Giving all of the other trainees a quick look over, Tansen nodded approvingly at each of their respective kido's. Some were like Axel's and would require a bit of practise on their own time in order to fully master it, but for the most part it looked as if everyone had managed to learn the spell successfully. Pleased with the results, the young Captains lips formed a rare smile for a quick moment before he put his work face back on and cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention again.

"Alright, it looks like most of you have learned how to perform Enkosen properly. Keep practising this spell during your own free time in order to fully master it's abilities. For now though, congratulations. This spell is now yours to use as you see fit. With that now out of the way, we'll move on to the next spell.

I'm going to let you all off easy this time and teach you a relatively easier Kido: Bakudo number Twenty One, Senkienton. [Red Smoke Escape] Unlike most Bakudo spells, this one doesn't require any precise shape manipulation. With this spell, you channel reiatsu through your arms and release it from your hands while they're pressed on some kind of surface in order to create a smokescreen. Actions speak louder than words, so I'll give you all another demonstration. Watch carefully."

Clearing his mind of all thought, Tansen inhaled deeply and let out a long calming breath before opening his eyes, the emerald green irises once again changing to electric blue as he channelled his reiatsu for another kido. The energy welling up in his hands, the Captain then pressed both of his palms against the ground, calling out the name of the spell as he cast it.

"Bakudo number Twenty One, Senkienton!"[Red Smoke Escape]

As the name of the spell was called out, a large cloud of thick red smoke erupted from Tansen's hands, concealing the shinigami captain from sight in the red haze. After a few moments the smoke cleared up, but it's caster was nowhere to be seen. A few seconds later the familliar cough came from behind everyone as the squad eight captain cleared his throat to gain their attention, sitting on a boulder just behind them.

"While this kido isn't overly powerful, it's still a good thing to learn. If you're ever faced with an emergency situation where you have to retreat, Senkienton makes for a great escape cover. It can also be used to confuse your opponents as well if you use it properly. Why don't you all give it a try?

Take a few seconds and try to relax before attempting it. The reiatsu will flow through your body easier if your muscles aren't tense. That proves true for other kido's as well. A clear and relaxed mind makes all the difference with kido. Now go ahead and give it a shot."

((I'd like to see two posts minimum this time from you guys with good description of the reiatsu being manipulated through your arms. Like with the last kido, if you didn't get it or have something extra to add or ask, just ask Tansen or Yamoto. Good luck guys.))

Scoffing childishly as he sat cross legged in the background, Saki seemed sort of bored. In the distance he could see red smoke expelled from the newly arrived 'Teacher Man', not impressed but intrigued. So intrigued in fact, he decided it was time to maybe perform one of these things. What he'd seen before was electrocuted bunnys and shields; both performed quite easily if you asked him. Nothing worth learning as of yet, especially since he already had similar techniques. The effects of the kido performed mere minutes ago could be mimicked by his own unique abilities, whether that be channeling energy through items or creating shields; He could already do it! Standing quickly and dusting off his rear, the short boy would proceed to stretch and unfurl himself from the previous positioning on the ground. "I can feel it.. That one guy over there is really good at the foundation of energy manipulation. It's pretty simple to read off his acts, especially when he's slowing down the process for people to catch it." Nodding and walking backwards a few steps, the child would suddenly break into stance, spreading his legs shoulder width apart and proceeding to concentrate. If anyone were within range they would probably think he was just pointing at the sky, as he hadn't seemed to be into it in the least bit; Body language simply gave off vibes of a lazy individual, about to catch something falling from the sky...

[1]

"Senkienton.." Whispering with halfhearted tone, the child's Shinigami uniform began to waver. The fluent transfer of energy through his body resembled the most natural of flowing rivers, giving the obvious appearance that he knew just what he was doing. There was no second guess when questioning if the boy had previous experience with manipulating energy types; He was a natural! Saki's previous endeavors with manipulating both reiatsu and reishi prepared him greatly for the task at hand. Producing freely moving energy, and radiating it through his limbs was almost as easy as breathing for Saki. "Red Smoke Escape.." In that moment he decided to whisper the technique's 'translated' name, his arms flew downward! Saki followed his arms movement with a sly crouch, slamming both of his open palms firmly against the earth beneath him. At that moment, red smoke flourished from the designated area on the ground before him.. In a moments notice, his position was consumed in red smoke, wispy as it trailed upwards. Abundant for a while, the smoke stayed. To those off in the distance, the source performing this technique wouldn't be visibly apparent; Saki had long removed himself from the smoking area, swiftly performing a Hirenkyaku to appear a good nine yards away from the smokey source.

[2]

Once again seated in an eagle crouch on the ground, the short child would wipe his hands together. Slouching his eyes into slit ovals, Saki began resting his elbows on his knees and using them to cup his chin. Not too worried or excited about his accomplishment, he huffed and proceeded to look at the one man across from them.. He was a very good demonstrator. "Hope that big red mass of bonfire smoke didn't get too much attention. Enh, at least it proved useful in covering my escape." Talking aloud to himself, Saki stared on at the group a good distance away from him. So far, he was the only one to truly perform the technique, other then the teacher himself; He didn't, however, seem to excited about that fact.

(I noticed we could list four at minimum that we wanted to learn. I had three, and I was bored so I decided to learn this one to occupy myself; Hope I didn't do anything wrong!)
