Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Tess was being sarcastic with her statement.

She was doing it in a playful manner, which is entirely fine.

That rule was created because one member (To be nice, I won't name any names) seemed to have a habit of whining, bitching, and complaining that no one liked them.. and then just shrugged everyone off, when they tried to help. That's why we have a strict no-whining rule.

You're allowed to talk about your problems, just don't ******** whine.

[edit] Oh, and yeah just to inform - I'm the one who put that rule up there, so I know exactly what it's for. What Tess did is perfectly fine. ^^;

I suppose since I was originally supposed to be over the newbies I should be doing that. That's asking alot to do each and evertime a new member. sweatdrop I should at least be sending the a genral PM. Only thing is I may have a hard time keeping up with all of the new members. I'll do my best though. Maybe I should do all the invites so that I can send the rules and a small hello.

It's just an invite. Unfortunately you can't edit the invite message. As far as I know I think I am. I love newbies so it's not that big of a problem. I could always copy and paste the rule and then type whatever it is that I want to say and save it as somewhat of a formal acceptance letter. The only thing is that if I were to do that I'd have to handle all of the invites so I could know who to send it to.

Madix has taken a short leave from the guild...I think she realizes that she's been a little short tempered with some of the people in the guild and she has already apologized for her actions, so I'm sure she realizes that her prior statement was a little biased and that yes, Toasty does not have to be fat to help his friends.

Here's another case of the overreacting. Gosh, can't anyone take a joke anymore? sad It's really sad when there's all of this discussion over a sarcastic comment! Although I agree that it's not wise to anger mods I don't really think this post is appropriate but I'm not deleting it.

Tess as a mod, which I'm not criticizing you because you were a mod here before I was,it's not really nice to respond to a member like that. We should still be careful of how we say things, but not walking on eggshells careful. If he didn't see that it was a sarcastic comment he should have just asked if you meant it, but the tone of your last comment is a bit of a harsh response to his misguidedness. We are supposed to set an example for everyone and by getting upset about this minor misunderstanding it may result to further unwanted conflict.

DarkmageRector, I apologize for being too harsh with my response...I just felt that you were taking every opportunity to harp on me about my comment and it bothered me that you were trying to tell people about the rules when it is not your position to do so, it's a mods. I knew that I was not trying to seek out 'love' from people with my comment, I was just being silly, and everyone seemed to understand that but you...but even so, I shouldn't have come down on you so hard. Perhaps in the future you can refrain from calling people out on 'breaking rules' since it is not your concern to do so... let us worry about who's breaking the rules, okay? I hope you understand... neutral

And I apologize to everyone else...I let my severe aggitation get the better of me...I should know better to let my frustration/anger get the best of me, it won't happen again.
